Greatest Movie Fights of All-Time
areaseven replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Street Fighter II: The Movie (1994) Somewhere in China, Ryu gets dragged into an underground fight due to the locals' perception of him being too arrogant for his own good. After knocking out his opponent with a headbutt, Ryu is challenged by Hong Kong martial arts actor Fei Long. Despite sustaining a broken arm and ankle, Fei Long proves to be a worthy opponent until he's knocked out by Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku. Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (1994) A masked man (later revealed to be a brainwashed Cheng Sinzan), sent by Laocorn Gaudeamus to retrieve his runaway twin sister Sulia, crashes Joe Higashi's victory party in Tokyo. He knocks out pro-wrestler Big Bear, but is then challenged by Taekwondo champion Kim Kaphwan. During the first minute of the fight, Kim is overpowered by the assailant's brute strength, but within a hair's length from defeat, he suddenly rebounds and vanquishes his opponent with his desperation attack. -

This is just a theory. Sure, Toecutter (or the dummy double, to be precise) lost an arm and got run over by the 18-wheeler, but suppose he somehow survived all that. If you look at Immortan Joe's body, it's badly battered and he needs a mask and breathing apparatus. A lot of that abuse could be attributed to a horrifying vehicular accident. Maybe he doesn't have stitch scars on his shoulders to indicate that his severed arm was reattached, but it's close. Another loose hint is the War Boys' motto: "I Live, I Die, I Live Again." It could mean a lot of religious figures, but given how much of a god complex Immortan Joe has, this motto may link him to Toecutter.

Sorry, but I don't buy that theory of the Feral Kid being Max. The more plausible theory is that Immortan Joe and Toecutter are one and the same character. And since Hugh Keays-Byrne has signed on for three more films - two of which are prequels, this may be true.

At this point, I predict this film to be a guilty pleasure at most, which is kinda rare for an Adam Sandler movie (You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Click, and Happy Gilmore make that list; The Wedding Singer is truly the only Sandler movie worth buying on DVD or Blu-ray). Kevin James was never funny, especially with his Paul Blart: Mall Cop films. Let's hope Peter Dinklage's performance makes this film watchable.

War for the Planet of the Apes is the third film in the current Planet of the Apes film series, following the critically acclaimed 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) returns to the director's chair on this project; he will also co-write the screenplay with Matt Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, The Wolverine). Since it's the continuing saga of Caesar and his tribe, there's no doubt that Andy Serkis (Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain Haddock in The Adventures of Tintin) will reprise his motion capture performance. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 14, 2017. Exclusive: New Planet of the Apes Movie Title Revealed
