Alas after years of waiting one of the funniest and best shows return to TV. The Boondocks return tonight on cartoon network. WIth this and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia back on I have a reason to watch television again, and just weeks away from Nip/Tuck. If you don't know what the Boondacks is google, youtube, or wikipedia is your best source. Read, watch, laugh, and enjoy. Warning the language is very racey

I took me a long time to apprecite the beauty of the figher as well. Before i was really into macross and i wasn't paying attention to then Q-Rau, but now i love it espcially it is very sleek in fighter

To tell the truth i had a lot of holy grails and if this thread was started at the beginning of the year i would have a ton of stuff but after i came back from my deployment in may i was able to acquire them all. The two at the very top were the gunbuster and the perfect change getter robo. Now i have both plus my valks so i don't have any elusive toys anymore. I can get everything else i want right now. No wait okay a 1/48 Low Vis 1 valk, that is my new holy grail. I want one so bad and i am mad i passed on it before.

So after all these season i have to admit that i am surprised the wardrobe department has been able to come up with so many inventive ways of always incorporating the blue and red theme in clark's wardrobe

Yes i think that is what happened actually. I don't think it was supposed to go past Clark in high school but they keep renewing the show. it is like lost they had an idea and didn't expect it to last as long as it has and everytime they renew the show the writers/producers have to now find more ways to stretch out the storylines. Eventually it puts a strain on the writing and feel of the show. I am sure Clark will fly eventually especially since Supergirl, and Bizzaro can fly there is no point it continuing to keep him behind the power curve. Hey just now realized he can draw more power and strength from the sun and it took him seven seasons to come to that???

I like the approach and liberties they took with the series. I used to be one of those people who wanted faithful adaptaions but have come to realize that that isn't always the best way to go. Especially when you have to consider that they want to have viewership of the shows/movies so they rewrite to appeal to a bigger base than just the fans. Smallville had always done a good job of that up until i stopped watching about 3 years ago so i lost track of what has transpired since. The one problem i do have is the invasion of the Justice League in all WB shows and cartoons lately. Last season saw a mini justice league on Smallville, and they are supposed to show up on The Batman this season. These shows can stand on their own without the inclusion of all these other superheros. The only person that should have been on the show as a guest on Smallville should have been a young Bruce Wayne. I know in Wizard magazine that had been talking about that for years, a person showing up who is more akin to lex luthor with a concious than Clark, and the tensions and fricture that would start there and lead onto their adult lives. Like Bruce hitting on Lois, or Lana for this show seeing as how Lois and Clark are not meant to be an item at this time. Just like we will never see clark in the suit until maybe the very last episode of the show, that was one of the conditions of the writers/ producers. No suit, no flying; and yes he has flown but not as clark/superman it is usually as Kal-El and that has been the loop hole around that.

I think it would get worse because it would give HG more of a reason to control all macross related stuff, and have an even tighter reign over the property in the US. It's like how Sony now holds so much of the Spiderman property that they profit waaaay more of the movies, toys, games, etc... than Marvel themselves. This is why Marvel optioned their own deal where they now make their own movies without the help of other studios. Hmmm.... Maybe Kawamori, or Big West should do the same and we will get a real macross movie.

Well i don't have one anymore since i bought mine years ago. it was a perfect transforming Valkryie with a heat shield that actually slid down like it is supposed to. Some small little company put it together. After that they released the YF-19, so all in all i am happy. Gee i wonder what the name of that company was? Hmmm........ lol!

I have never been a big fan of milia's valk only because i like blue more than red but i be damned if they don't look oh so sexy together. I might need to pick hers up now.

all depends on the dub. I have felt that Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, and Macross Plus, and Robotech (Macross Saga) and Ranma 1/2 to be pretty good dubs. Dubs were better back in the day before anime became commercialized in America. I hate most dubs now especially Naruto but some are pretty good. Depends on the company dubbing them, and the actors. Bryan Cranston (the father on Malcom in the Middle) is a pretty good voice actor (Isamu Dyson of all people) and so is the guy who played Uncle Phil on the Fresh Prince (original voice of the Shredder on Ninja Turtles and Fang in the Fist of the North Star movie)

You know what the irony is here? I posted a long time ago in the series forum that if i made a Macross movie but called it Robotech because of the legal issues would any of you see it? I was thoroughly chastized and picked on because i knew that that would be the only way we could watch a LA Macross movie is if it was called Robotech. And now a year or so later it is happening and you guys seem to not have as much of an issue as you did when i first brought it up. Bastards, i hate you all

Wizard World is their convention they have that covers all facets of geek entertainment (I read Wizard magazine religously). They have about 4 or 5 a year. It originaly started in Chicago, then they had an East and West version, and then they opened up more locations in between as the conventions started getting bigger every year. They have all the top comic artist, writers, toy exclusive from all the top companies, and high profile actors and actresses. It is like a scaled down San Diego Comic Con but run by Wizard and travels across the country. Unfortunately i still haven't been able to go to one but one day i will.

Here here if you don't own Firefly and Serenity leave now lest you be smitted by a lightening bolt from the Sci-Fi gods. Anyway i saw the trailer and was pleasantly surprised. At least now it will be rated R like it should have been. Maybe they won't mess with established continuity so much. (For instance in the last film since when does it only take a few hours to impregnate and have a full grown alien instead of days?)

Well it looks like it is indeed getting a TV tuner and DVR for markets in other countries so it is just a matter of time before it come to American and PS3 sales increase, possibly, hopefully.

You must be thinking about the VF-0S/A and the YF-19 because the 1/48 VF-1 had very minimal issues. sure there are some every once in a blue moon but those have pretty much been on the money since the release of the Max VF-1A

This also solves the batman and superman casting issues seeing as how christian bale already said he has no involvement with the project, and they haven't approached brandon routh either. But non the less ryan reynolds as flash in any medium other than the JLA/ JLU cartoon (because michael rosenbaum was great there) would be great. On to the other issue in this thread, you two need to chill. As someone else in the industry criticizm is bound to happen. Understandably you placed a lot of hard work into your films but people will hate. There is nothing wrong with either of you or your work. This is not the place where we need to be defensive and hostile. I love the forums like no other and yes at times it does suck from negativity but none the less it is still a great place. Fatalist so one or a few don't like your work, who cares, and eguimon is entitled to his opinion you just shouldn't take it to heart. In the long run when you get criticizm like this you should prove him wrong instead of feeling like he is attacking you..... Now back on to the thread, soooooo........ who else would you guys like to see superhero wise in this movie. Who is your perfect JLA lineup for the big screen?

My hat goes for the Max VF-1J Super, although i never display it with the fast packs on. I have always love the 1J design as it is iconic, maybe more so than the 1S (mostly because the 1J was in the opening of the show), and i love the color blue so it makes the most sense. The YF-19 is a close second, i have the first run, i havent been able to get the FP version yet due to lack of funds at the moment.

What I find interesting is that there is no mention of the BETA anywhere, ANYWHERE on the Toynami site. You figure a product that fans have been clamoring for and want really bad they would have at least some basic info about it. The only thing they mention from Comic-con was more Naruto statues and nothing else. Sounds kind of suspect to me. Like they are still just gauging interest and they still do not intend on going into production until they know for a fact that they can sell them.
