I had posted my AVP idea somewhere long ago, but with that i had it would have pleased everyone, and been on a different planet with marines, scientist, aliens, and predators.

It's like watching the episode Bye Bye Mars and everyone is standing around in battroid mode like sentries.

Well it looks like the urban classic The Last Dragon is getting a remake. Well i love the original and thought i was a great work of campy genius but i don't know if it needs to be touched again. Many will say yes since it was cheaply made to begin with, but still just leave it be. I like my Sho Nuff the way he is though hearing Sam Jackson is tackiling the role in the new version makes me happy as he is my all time favorite actor it still doesn't mean it needs to be done.

What's with Leo jumpin on all this anime propertiey? It's great to know that he is a fan and all but still first Akira and now this? Anyway i will with hold any judgement until i see more come out from the production side. I mean how many times have we all jumped on early and said "Movie X is going to suck" and then it turns out to be good? Granted usually they do suck but you never know how everything will turn out yet. But i will admit the general anime to american live action film sucess ratio is very low with pretty much Speed Racer being the only real decent movie i can think of to come out, the others sucked. But then we all said the same of comic movies before Blade and eventually X-men and Spiderman came out. Interesting to see how these films turn out.

I was just on that site, do any of those magnets fit the kit now for the legs or if even possible the wings since the have a problem staying locked in fighter mode? if so i am going to buy some for my kit before it gets here

In Alto defense there is not much left by this time in Macross lore. Hikaru was a war hero because he was the first to do a lot of things in the first interstellar war between Man and Aliens. It is a lot easier to accomplish things when there is no precedence. By now bout everything has been done, and sure they are facing a new enemy but what was there for him to do?

I saw this in another thread and its a good question. How exactly does the VF-25/27 convert to a 2 seater since there doesn't seem to be various seated versions and we have seen many times where people sit in the back seat like seconds after it was a one seater

Nope from what igather you need to paint it or use stickers like gundam models if available.

Huh? No I meant... Okay one of the coolest feature on valks was when they could leave their guns on the side of the arm so that they could have their hands free. I noticed that in the new series in battriod form the they no longer store their weapons on their arms when they are not in use. They just drop it and let it float wherever it may be which to me seems like a waste ot material and weapons.

So those who have the model, I have a questions for the guys who aren't great modelers. I am decent at best and stick with snap fit gundam models. I just order this and will have it next week (yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!); my issue is stickers. I have big hands and they arent the most stable at times. For those who are novice model builders how much of a hassel was it getting the stickers on? Actually experienced people can chime in to. I know the best way is to place them on before putting the kit together but this will be my most sticker heavy anything. Any advice so it doesn't look like crap when i am done?

Sorry i was referring to the 25 and 27. They are tucked underneath the valk in fighter and gerwalk mode but in battroid they have no placement for them that i have seen yet other than the batt hand

So has anyone adressed Gunpod placement yet? Why did they move away from the placement on arms? That means they have to constantly hold the gun in Battriod form or risk losing it. I don't see that as a more advanced design feature.

I will say this....I love Max's VF-1J. It is my fav valk. Ever since it first came on screen i was smitten. I did love his 1A from the series but his 1J was more badass. From a marketing aspect it is more like it has a tone of color and the first different color valk you see except the 1D. Everything else is mostly white with a few glimpses of other all color valks. Plus he had one of the coolest transformation sequences ever in that valk. When Hikaru first got the Bobby Duck, Max was turning over in space then in mid turn he change to Battroid and kicked ass. One of the best scenes in the whole series.

One thing i have noticed is the placement of battroid heads now. i guess they figured that it is more effecient to have the head already on top of the valks because every major valk in use after the VF-1 from the 4 to the 25 has the head all ready on the top. Really as i was watching frontier and seeing the transformations is when i thought of all this thinking is all that nose folding necessary? And why do they not fold the wings to help prevent damage when in battroid? having them just stick out on the back or on the side of the legs has to be asking for more damage to them. I do like how the vf-27 and yf-21 have their overall thrusters on the main body of the valk instead of being the legs on the battroid so that if the leg is damaged they aren't just sitting ducks.

Well for me complexity has to do with all the folding parts and where things are stored. The original was a fairly easy transformation, while newer models have folding noses, arms coming out from other spots than the bottom, newer hip designs, etc. I was never saying the original wasn't complex but compared to the VF-25 or 19 it is just not as complex as those, or at least in my opinion.

So i am currently rewatching the series and maybe all of our questions are already answered or rather most of them. If Sheryl was where her rings when she got to Frontier and started singing then through the fold quartz the vajra are sure to follow hence how Grace led them there to Frontier. Grace may not have been aware of the true reason of the vajra following the fold quartz but knew they would. Then once they get to frontier, Ranka just starts bringing attention to herself with singing and every thing as she said eventually they were trying to rescue her. This may have already all been said since i haven't had to time to go through all the various pages on the subject but i think after rewatching the series especially since i know how it ends i can see everything coming together properly.

I don't know if it has been brought up before if it has please close but when they design valks in the context of the show why do they design them? Like if it for pilot safety which is why many newer ones have the pilot sit in the back of the battroid? Why do they design more complex transformation? Is there a purpose or are the designer just want to show off how complex they can make them. If you guys designed one how would u do it? Mind you this is in the context of the show like when General Galaxy or L.A.I. designs them.
