Most times you cast an unknown for roles where the superhero doesn't wear a mask like Superman. You can cast known actors for heros with masks like Batman, this way you don't associate the character with the actor that's portraying them. Nic Cage was supposed to be superman at one point and if you watched it you wouldn't see superman, you would see Nic Cage in a costume.

If it doesn't transform I will pass. From the pick unless they perfected the seems where parts move and separate it doesn't look like it transforms. It looks great, but I am not big on non transforming Macross models.

Not too entirely sure about Double Nuts, but the Pink Pecker was the fighter group that Ray Lovelock from Macross 7 was assigned to before his time with Fire Bomber.

That wasn't Sam's fault though. The studios pressured him to do all that since he was only contracted for three films, they just figured if there are no more being made might as well as get what we can out of the last movie. Sam only wanted Harry and Sandman as the villains and it shows by the way they are handled in the film, while venom just seemed like a horrible after thought.

I still like the title for the fact that it was funny when we first started the thread, and it proves like someone else said that the creator of the thread was wrong.

I think because of the newer 1/60 VF 1 the originals will drop in value. The main reason is because the new line is doing all the exact same valks from the original line with better features and articulation. Why would the old ones go up in value? Now let's say the new line didn't make two seaters or M&M valks, the original line version of those would have gone up a lot, but not now, we know we are getting all the valks and then some. There just no real reason for someone to want the old ones unless they are a completist. I never got the originals, I never liked the leg transformation crap, I want PT toys all the way.

Same here. It was around my sophomore year of high school when I first watched Mac Plus and Mac II which was about 96, then I searched everywhere for more info and learned about DYRL and Mac 7. Unfortunately it would be years before I saw either of those, but my local blockbuster did have Clash Of the Bionoids which was great at the time until I could get my hands on the one true DYRL.

But it isn't supposed to be like the original, that was the who point of the time travel plot. I know you can tear it apart but still it's an entirely new Trek with new things in it so people who aren't hardcore fans like myself can still enjoy it.

Only have the VF-1S Hikaru, VF-1J, and VF-1D. Will have Max's TV-1A in the next few weeks, and the Kakizaki TV-1A when it comes out.

I thought it was excellent. I especially like the way it was written to shut up fans about how it isn't perfectly correct with the already established canon, thought THAT was the best part.

Oh that is just so funny. Oh no there's a movie about a character named after our town making a billion dollars, let's sue! I am sure we will win despite the fact that the character has been around since the 40s, has already had movies and TV shows about the character, we feel now is the best time to stand up for our rights as a city. There is no judge in the world that is going to allow that farce to actually happen. There is no case what's so ever here.
