XIII is a lot harder, A LOT more than X. I like the characters, and yeah side question don't pop up until like 30 hours into the game. Also I doubt there will be a demo put out at this point. The battle system is great but honestly you could never grasp the whole of it in a demo.

My friend just told me that apparently Chapter 9 is the halfway point in the story.

In all honesty i am just trying to see how well i do my first run through, so i don't expect to truly level everything up. Especially since i open the Guide after i passed a chapter and see i missed out on a lot of things all ready.

Nope he has a good more hours and chapters to get through first, it's closer to the latter half of the game.

BTW I am not necessarily defending the game though I do enjoy it so far. All the things I have posted have been stated in both the guide book which I cracked open once and closed, and other reliable sources.

At the beginning they designed the battle system to be easy so you can get used to it, only to get progressively harder and more intricate later on in the game as you acquire more abilities and moves and stuff.

Yes it is true the game is linear at the beginning, but it does become open world towards the latter half of the game.

I really really liked Gungrave, especially since it started off as a game first by the same guy who made Trigun hence the Trigun feel to it.

I really enjoyed Lunar, the dialogue and the story. It was just a fun game in general, plus it was relatively hard since for every level you went up the enemies went up as well so everything was always stronger than you.

Well when I started playing RPGs i didn't play the ones with jobs and classes. I started with Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger so those elements have never been that important to me. I have actually loved VII, X, and XII though XII took some getting used to with the battle system. I enjoyed IX but never had the chance to play it long enough to really get into it. I am looking forward to XIII and everything that comes with it. Yes it is different, and not as free as other earlier versions but you never know what surprises they have in store. X was very linear but i really enjoyed the hell out of that game. For older style RPGs i have brought out the ole PSP and been getting the updated ports of PSOne games such as Lunar which is epic so far and brings back fond memories, and Star Ocean Second Evolution. I may pick up Breath of Fire III as well. But all in all I am thoroughly looking forward to next Tuesday at midnight and the hours of my life i shall lose in the upcoming weeks. I am also very interested in Tri-Ace's next venture Resonance Of Fate which looks very good so far, and of course GoW3.

Also I do believe the FF13 on PS3 is actually fine, and so far has great reviews. I don't think they dumbed it down for Xbox seeing as how the XBox version isn't as good. PS3 can hold the entire game on 1 disk while Xbox is on 3.

Well if you think about it, anything with a VF designation is meant to transform, since VF stands for Variable Fighter. So whether or not it was ever seen in animation doesn't mean it was never meant to do that.

Well i use medialink which wirelessly connects my PS3 to my macbook and anything my mac can play can now be view on my PS3, and no the vid doesn't need to play on the make as well.

Finally got my PS3 to read MKV files so HD anime on my TV

Iron Man is actually pretty light, all plastic just awesome paint. I will post more photos later since I am moving them out of the kitchen and into my office now.
