Iron Man 2 (Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow!)

I haven't heard that in years. My friends and I would sing it whenever we played Marvel Versus Capcom 2 or Ultimate Alliance and the such. -
That's a consideration? I mean really get it, because i don't know about you but I have wanted one since ooohhhh 1985 and they were never made until recently.

I too enjoyed it, a lot better than the reviews make it seem, and the plot is pretty straight forward....to me anyway. -
Had me and my crew of 20 people during our first viewing in tears all the way through. And yet Hollywood felt there was no audience for this film and never saw a theatrical release, yet every "Movie" film gets one. Yep love the politics of my career field.

Yeah I have seen Avatar once in IMAX 3D and that was it. Same for Trannies 2, Wolverine, etc. Also another interesting fact as great as HD is the human eye doesn't actually see in HD. So technically all this HD stuff is more crisp and clean than we see. Plus film looks great as is, but when ported to HD it loses something to me, it's no longer the same feeling. Though videogames and sports look awesome in HD and are pretty much the only thing I care to see in HD.

Good review Mr. March. I have seen the movie now 3 times (only paid once, another time was a free preview screening and the last time was a movie pass i got for christmas, funds were low) anyway I still love the film. While people have their own opinions about the pacing and the stars I feel overall the film is very well paced and still a great joy ride from start to finish.

All ready look better than every other SF movie known the man

Ah but I did post that even with a minority lead such as Denzel or Smith they are still surrounded by an all white cast. Films that don't generally have an all white cast tend to not due as well in the box office, there are a few exceptions such as Slumdog Millionaire but look at the past couple of films that are multicasted, and look at their numbers compared to a with an all white cast and their numbers are usually double that.
-
As a filmmaker unfortunately Paramount has a point. I am not saying it is right but there is a reason you always see a mostly white cast in a film. Most of it has nothing to do with talent or skills, just that people like to see themselves on screen, and the mass majority of movie goers are white, hence why you see films with an all white cast. As a black guy, yeah i said it thinking about how Peter says it in Family Guy.... I would love to see more races depicted on the screen but the numbers speak and films with a more multicultural cast that is NOT based on an established property tend to not do as well in the box office. Unless you are Tyler Perry but then his films are predicated on plays in which he already had a huge fan base from, so now all those fans line up to see film version of his plays. Think about it, even films that have minorities as the lead still have a mostly white cast to go around them. That being said at first I had my doubts but the more I see the more interested I become with this film. Hopefully it will bring M. Night out of his rut. Sixth Sense was his only good film, the rest are ok at best.

Robotech Perfect Collection VF-1J
kanedaestes replied to MisaForever's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's about a Robotech Veritech. We only discuss Macross Valkyries in the toy forum lol. -
A lot of anime seems to have spoken english randomly thrown in. Just like how we have tons of movies, cartoons etc with spanish, japanese or other languages randomly thrown into them.

That's pretty much the model of Hollywood right now hence all the remakes.

This weekend is the return of the truth, the final season of the Boondocks, not quite sure why it is the final season of a great show but I am still looking forward to one of the best animated programs ever.

Super Mario like you've never seen it before
kanedaestes replied to Mr March's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Love it -
Um yeah AWESOME, my only complaint is that I have to wait so long for it. Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime has always been one of my favorite designs since i first saw the movie, with Springer being second, and now I have a proper Springer so bring on Rodimus Prime.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
kanedaestes replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I see me getting the MK. IV and War Machine, and unless the MK. VI is drastically different I will skip that one. From the looks of it is the same but I don't know Hot Toys will add to it to make people buy yet. Maybe I will just get WM for now and wait to see how the IV and VI look and decide then. -
Yes they are 1/60. You can really tell by standing next to the 1/60 VF-1 as seen in a pic in this thread

I still love Robotech, and I do thank Carl for introducing me to Macross and everything else. Rest In Peace.
