MP-10 Transformation vid, the guy doesn't talk at all though makes you want to put on music while watching. Also there are a few breaks in the vid but not during anything important. http://www.youtube.com/user/wewyllenium#p/u/0/F2Wm-U64xGI

kanedaestes replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Mine still has pretty good ankles like 3 months later. I never tried any poses that would really overdue the articulation on them and he is holding up pretty fine. -

Any other "Thing" fans out there?

I am and have always been very aware this is a prequel. I also heard the filmmakers were wathing the original everyday to try and keep with continutiy. I feel they were a bit too influenced and wound up recreating a lot of shots to give nods to the original so much so that except for maybe the beginning and the end the bulk of the film will be too much like the original, especially according to a lot of those shots in the trailer. Hence my post. -
If certain American toy companies had the Macross liscense.

I only say Matty because they seem to be one of the few companies out right now doing 80's style toys. In the end if anything Macross could come into the market it will be VF-1s because the overall public doesn't know much about it outside of robotech. So i could see them doing those since they have done Ghostbusters, Voltron, and He-Man. -

I know we will never actually see them on shelves. I have seen those shelves, they are a dark and scary place. Doesn't mean that they can't be sold in the store or comic shoops or what have. Granted in many ways they all ready are but maybe it would help keep the overall costs down. I still think the best option if any would be Matty Collector to pick up the series. -

That movie is vaporware with no movement what's so ever and by the time if at all it comes to production the time for it will have passed. Plus if their are toys they will be aimed at the kids and the toys will in no way resemble the valks we come to know and love i.e. the Live Action Transformers toys being nothing like the toys we had growing up because of the movie design. At best we can hope for a company that has the time, and is willing to work with HG to produce new stuff. A lot of companies are dipping into the 80s well at the moment so someone like Matty Collector could do Robotech, especially considering their overall toy lineup is 80's properties and DC comics. -

OR if certain American companiy didn't have a Macross embargo on the US or the rest of the world, imagine Yamato Valks on the store shelves. I like that better than having those companies deal with Macross as many of their products a lot of the time aren't great. -

Is it me or did the trailer have way to many shots of scenes that look extacly like the original? Gives me that whole while this is a remakedisguised as a prequel feel. -

Can I just say the phrase, " I find your lack of Google-Fu disturbiing" is one of the best things I have ever read. Granted I am sure it has been said elsewhere but that is just awesome and how I feel everyday when i pull up info when others can't.

Bandai has dibs on the Frontier license for sometime to come I beileve. But we are getting Mac 7 valks from Yamato as that license is free now.
-
Uh but this is MacrossWorld and that what we do best. Plus for a company as big as Bandai you would think with making transforming toys they would have advanced past the poiint of having loose joints on a toy after a few transformations, so yes we pick it apart because he have seen better and we want better.

Picked up Target HA Leadfoot. He's a love or hate figure but seeing as how you can mistransform him to make him look better he's not that bad as a display piece, arm articulation sucks though. But as I mostly collect the HA line from the movie-verse and they fit will with Leader Prime and Ironhide I am happy with him. Kind of wish I could get a Leader Ratchet for the whole crew lol.

I don't know, not really. I guess while it was cool to me wasn't much of a spoiler as being a comic fan I knew what it was. Sorry.

All ready seen it, it's good, wish there was more action, more of the Bad ass gunslinger Vash, but it's more of the Vash of the first like 5 or 6 eps or so.

I haven't heard it yet, but i will within the next few days. I remember seeing them open a few years ago on the Taste of Chaos Tour for 30 Seconds To Mars. They were great, and this is when their first album had just been released.
