Bump Well having just seen it, I have to say it was better than I expected. Will Smith toned down the one liners and gave a better performance than his recent stuff. I would have to say that the robots cgi wise were pretty convincing and Sonny stole the show. For some reason this movie reminded me of Patlabor the movie. USR Robotics..was that in Asimov's book or did the company that was bought by 3com use the name? As for the violations of the 3 Laws. I didn't read the books so I don't know if Asimov would be rolling around in his grave. From here on in, stop reading this thread and go watch the movie. I think the reason why you think the IMAI is chunky is from the angle shot of the camera top down. Whereas the toynami version has had pictures full frontal. In terms of Line art Toynami's version does not line up the left and right chest with the central section that has the triangle on it. Both the left and the right chest section are not supposed to be fully horizontal. I doubt if it's a transformation error since all the photos I've seen of the battloid has the same thing. The Imai has this done correctly as does the Gakken. I can't seem to find the answer to this one but I'm sure someone's already answered it. Do you have to remove the sensor pod in order to transform it into fighter mode?

For those who are going to see the movie. There's a scene with "Raindrops is falling on my head" being played and Parker is struting around town enjoying himself when the camera captures him in a freeze frame. Yell out this: "Mentos The Fresh Maker!!"

Here's my favorite eps. of btas The cape and cowl conspiracy. A new criminal in town, Wormwood is hired to carry out a most unusual job for one "Baron" Waclaw Jozek to acquire Batman's cape and cowl for him. Wormwood is intrigued by this challenge and sets about trying to capture Batman with numerous lethal traps and deadly situations in hopes of forcing him to surrender his cape and cowl only to find that Batman isn't too bad at traps himself Almost got him. The Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, and Killer Croc play cards and tell stories about the time each one almost got Batman. At the end Catwoman has her own story to tell. Never Fear The Scarecrow, with a fearsome new look, is using a new gas that makes people unafraid. Things get out of control when Batman is exposed to it. This is one of the best episodes that show Batman's Dark side. Knight Time After Bruce Wayne is missing, Superman must go undercover as Batman to find him and fill in his shoes. Not quite a BTAS but a Superman one. It's still a favorite though. Especially when Superman with a Batman quise goes after Bane, Mad Hatter, Riddler and Penguin Slightly off topic: Every Batman movie has a cowl with open eye holes though in the comics and the animated show Batman always has white eyes. I guess they want to portray emotion behind the mask but it just doesn't look right to me. I'm wondering what effect a white eyed cowl would look like in the movies.

While promoting the second volume of the series, opening theatrically on April 16th, Tarantino revealed that he plans to recut both films together for a special theatrical release later in the year. "We did a special version [of Volume 1] for Japan that's only been shown in Japan and Hong Kong, and I kept the rights to that," Tarantino said. "I'll put the Japanese version together [with Volume 2] like I would if it was one complete movie, and then I'll release that throughout America and Europe in arthouse engagements." Tarantino also promises more extensive DVD plans for the revenge films. "I'm going to do a special collector's edition of both of them once I'm finished with both of them," he said. Also in the talking phase, Tarantino is considering the possibility of releasing stand-alone supplemental discs. "One of the things that I saw that I liked... was what the American Pie guys did with their 'Beneath the Crust' documentaries. I want to do the same thing [for Kill Bill]."
