  1. Since they didn't release before the big combo kit, I'm sort of expecting Max and Miria VF-1Js to be released with super packs, since that wasn't possible until recently with the release of the other Super/Strike kits. I'm inclined to wait to wait for dedicated releases in case the box art is good.
  2. Stripes can be painted, but it would be nice to have the numbers for their respective units (the ones that go on the lower stabilizers) in addition to the pilot names for the cockpits. 202 for Max, 303 for Miria.
  3. I would have liked a VF-11D eventually. But it just makes a lot more sense that they're going to mostly release the main stuff from various series.
  4. This is pretty cool! I already have the individual boxings for most of these, but I'd get at lease 2 of this set to do the classic TV cannon fodder tan VF-1A, and one for the green and white (Alaska Base?) version. I'll be interested to see if they do a similar multi-version release for the battroid kit. I guess I didn't realize before, they still need to do a VF-1D fighter?
  5. I wonder if the still available Wave 1/100 VF-1 kits would impact the chances of a VF-1 soon in Bandai's lineup. I'm still thinking about grabbing some of the Wave kits... I would really like to see VF-17/VF-171 stuff (yes I know about the Wave 1/72 VF-171 but A ) it's not in scale with the Bandai line and B ) it's fighter only and C ) it still doesn't cover the VF-17). A line of VF-11 covering different variants would be fun. A full line of VF-25 or VF-31 would be less exciting, but I'd still get them to be in-scale with other kits in this line. VF-0 line would also be fine. But I guess I'd enjoy some Macross II stuff most. Just... not Metal Siren. Oh, and I'd still really like a YF-30. Whether it's in this line, or a fighter from Hasegawa.
  6. Ugh, it would suck if multiple variants were hidden away behind the limited availability system. The Hasegawa Max/Miria fighter combo pack is quite old at this point, so hopefully the Max and Miria VF-1Js are due soon. Maybe they'll come with super packs since Plamax has the super parts done now.
  7. The release strategy between the 2 seems quite different. Hasegawa releases way more fighters than battroids, proportionally. And they have gaps in the seen-on-screen lineup while also offering variations that aren't on screen like the Minmei Guard and the Operation Bullseye armored battroids. But no VF-1J Max/Super and no VF-1D battroid I don't think Plamax is going to do anything that's not screen-used, but at the same time they do seem to be methodically knocking out the on-screen versions. At this point, wondering if Plamax will do Max/Miria VF-1Js, VE-1, VT-1, or maybe an Angel Birds VF-1. All are possibilities. And then of course I wonder if they'll do armored battroid, and I would be VERY curious to see that, and how it compares to the Hasegawa. I really like the styling of Hasegawas kits, but something in my heart is really reminded of my early modeling days when I look at the Plamax battroids. I'm going to have to get that Kakizaki VF-1A battroid - I hate that it's going to be hard (expensive) to get. Lastly... since they are doing both TV and movie based kits... are they going to give us a overall tan TV style VF-1A cannon fodder unit?
  8. I'm allowing myself to get all the Queadluun variants because.... well, mostly because Max and Miria are cool. But I don't think I could muster enthusiasm to get every male power armor variation like I bought all the Regults and all the beautiful VF variations.
  9. still waiting on Hasegawa for this
  10. Hasegawa, Wave, Plamax, I don't care. Just..... someone do it please.
  11. Although it's great to see all the pods and power armors... is anyone ever going to remember we still need a 1/72 destroid Spartan?
  12. Wow. To be honest I don't even remember this version. I guess I need to watch the movie again. Definitely time to get the male power armor(s) done next. Though I'm not exactly how much needs redoing for them to get the TV versions of the Queadluun Rau out. And then I guess I would expect some more variations of the VF-0 gerwalk.
  13. Glad I posted then! I got one just now, so I'm up to 3. Hasegawa really knows how to move extra plastic by putting several build/decal options in one box.
  14. Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1J Super/Strike Valkyrie 'Black Aces' is restocked if anyone needs one. https://www.hlj.com/1-72-scale-vf-1j-super-strike-valkyrie-svf-41-black-aces-hsg65782
  15. I'm excited for it, I'm glad Hasegawa is doing one alongside the Regults and Queadluun-Raus. But I do think the front of the pod looks oddly shaped, and I really don't get the addition of the texturing on top of the weapon arms. I'll be too lazy to smooth out the arms, but I do wish they were smooth. Right now I feel like I'm looking at the front end of some pistols when I look at the arms.
  16. Yup. Have been getting most of my Bandai stuff (Macross, Armored Core, Gundam) from my local shop. Just takes a while for them to get stock. I'm not in a rush, I'm just annoyed that I can't get the stuff at japanese retail price and then save up for one big shipment to save on shipping cost like I used to. Buying stuff local is definitely more costly. But I do have a big pile of Hasegawa and Plamax stuff waiting to ship, so there's that.
  17. No such luck I fear. I'm just plain old fashioned backordered.
  18. Lucky again, mine are backordered.
  19. Do you just, like, click on pre-order seconds after the pre-order is made live? I've always pre-ordered before the pre-order period closes, and usually within a day or 2 of the pre-order going live, but I never get anything. Now that I think about it, I think I was able to get one YF-29 Max. Not the YF-21.
  20. I only ever got one of the Bandai 1/100 kits (YF-21) from HLJ successfully. I still have a pending Fire Valkyrie order that's never been filled. I cancelled my YF-19s and YF-29s long ago after I got 3 each locally. I have no hopes. I don't know why I bother placing orders for these with HLJ anymore. Good luck though! I had slightly better luck with the Armored Core VI 30MM line. I never got my orders for the first wave of kits filled (orders still open and pending at HLJ for those), but HLJ did ship me the kits from the 2nd wave. 50% success?
  21. Lucky. My 3 Mirias and 3 decal sets order is straight to backorder. As usual.
  22. So it's a similar annoying situation as the max/miria 1/72 VF-1 variables from Bandai.
  23. I'm assuming that you could build this as a non-armored Nightmare Plus, with ordnance? I'm just wondering why the very first release didn't have the ordnance option. And does anyone remember if they announced a blue version of the Armored? Or would I have to combine a standard blue version and Alto's Armored to get a blue Armored?
