there is a huge fret of photoetched parts and the kit is all resin. all motors can be made to be displayed, also the radar, avionics bays in the nose, the missile systems in the fastpacks have the option to be exposed as well. the kit has the option to make it in one of 3 ways. standard fighter, super, or strike. i know the price is high but for what you get it is more than worth it.

excellent work Kurt. what blue/grey did you use. i really cant wait to get mine now. oh the agony. keep it up i cant wait to see the 19. what were the most troublesome areas of the kit? sean

i think the one here http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php?c...products_id=832 is still in stock. its 279.00 usd. i was happy with the kit and its the only place i have seen it available. sean

Mechleader how much do you want for your Imp shuttle? i have been looking for one forever. great collection and nice work on your droid and stap. very clean. i know you wont part with the shuttle but if anyone can point me in a direction for one it would be great. sean

most other acft kits even 1/72 scale ones have hollow wings and that is a little more structurally sound than solid wings like the VF-1 kits. also hasegawas trend towards softer plastics lately doesnt help. to correct the problem on an already built kit though try suspending it upside down and gently heating it until they return to shape then cool it quickly by pouring water over it or holding ice near it. i know alot of you dont want to wet your kits but if it is already built you dont have many options.

i cant wait to see this. i liked the BBC version for how weird it was. i hope the robot is as depressed in this as he was in that. they had better have the babelfish in it too. 42 he he he

also if anyone asks you to get some jet wash to clean an jet they are trying to send you on a goose chase. same thing with the flightline mentioned above. we had one guy ,who had an uncle in civil engineering, who got sent to get some flightline. he called his uncle and had a concrete repair slab delivered to the squadron. noone was sent to get flightline ever again. true story.

those chuny bits are pour stubs. most resin its have them. yours have actually been trimmed down a bit for you. its where the resin gets poured into the mold. its quite common some companies (not many) actually clean them up alot more so all you have to do is a little touch up sanding. a good brand of gleu to use is ZAP CA glue in the green label bottle. it dries a little slower and is slightly thicker.

you had better get a laptop or something while you are in florida and eep in touch with us. the base library also has free public internet access so you have no reason not to say hi. welcome bac seaman. sean

i used to be. i stopped drinking 7 years ago. too many hobbies and interests. id rather accomplish something now rather than try to remember what i wanted to do the next day. that and you cant build a model while drunk.

not trying to spoil it but BLEED CYLON RAIDER BLEED!!!! didnt see that plot twist coming. you all know they are copying humans but theres more to it than even that.

it was the Q-tip. i used Q-tip on my ivanov SV-51 and it did the same thing since thepaint had not cured for its full time. i agree with mechaninac on the thinner making plastic brittle. it can also debond glues after a time too. the EASY-OFF method works but being spray on the stuff likes to run off the model and your coverge isnt even. WHESTLYS BLEACHE WHITE works well its basically the same chemical thats in the oven cleaner but in liquid form. just pour it into a tupperware tub or container big enough to hold the model and place the model in it. let is sit for 2 days and then scrub with a toothbrush and warm water. the paint and decals should come right off. just be sure your parts are well rinsed off before you paint. one other little off topic tip . if you wash your parts before your initial painting try using rubbing alcohol to do te cleaning. it dries quicker than soap and water aand has less of a chance of leaving residue. sean

the whole thing with palpatine is kind of like the old jeckyl and hyde thing. one doesnt know the oter exists until its too late.

are you basecoating in acrylic or enamel. it shouldnt eat away acrylics. ive never had any real trouble. the thinner i use for my enamel wash is good old testors airbrush thiner. thats perfectly safe for crylics.

im half german as well and irish so dont get me drunk and make me angry at the same time

they have the F-4 phantom and the tornado. they also use the MIG-29 and other various acft. to put it in perspective the first time that the germans were allowed to have an occupying force outside their country was bosnia in 1993.

WOW LIU! my wife can never complain now. have you got anything built? i saw that you have the LED mirage 1/100 scle kit. i have the one with the flame thrower and flight booster. i have to reassemble mine though. thats a 100 dollar kit in the states. very nice collection.

mineral spirits work well. i found that ones like testors airbrush thinner have a tendancy to make artists oils coagulate or get chunky at times. if its just enamel paint than normal paint thinner works well.

the first season has come and gone in england and i loved it. i cant wait till the next one. the game is ok as well its supposed to be a prequel to the new tv series and accounts for the first war in which capt adamma is a viper pilot. where is season 2 already. i dont want to spoil anything for anyone. i dont know if its all out on tv in the states yet.

man i really need to finish mine. i just have so many kits on my plate i need to set a priority list down. nice looking build. did you use testors light grey for the base color? its what i used and it looks the same as yours.

hey neptune. yes there are 2 one is 1/25th and the other is 1/35th.i need to touch up the glacis plate of the 1/25 one. both are tamiya kits. the shelf where my macross kits reside now will be cleared for the new 1/48s on the way soon (thanks again jessee) and the smaller scale subjects will get a new home. i now have 8 1/200 scale regults a 1/100 gulag, ivanov SV-51, and a VF-1 strike battroid that need a good display area once complete. O.T. jessee please thank everone involved for me.

hmmm no pics of the items and an outrageous price to boot. i trust this guy about as far as i could flick him. for 700 bucks the thing had better be voice activated and run on fusion motors. i could buy another camaro to build for the price he is asking. dont post an item unless you have your own pics for it. i notice the low vis nose and wing numbers are sequential in order. if anyone sees a valk that is already owned by someone else youll know if he is valid or not

the uses for them dont escape me its kind of like mini me in austin powers when those things come out though.
