Actually i have been working on the stryker for 3 or 4 months on and off. Ill see if i can find the in progress pics later on. This thing has as much Photo Etch on it as it does styrene. Trumpeter came out with its own in house photo etch part set. 5 frets of brassy goodness. I have alot of shelves.

I have Big Wars. Kow Yokoyama was lead Mechanical designer for that.

The truck will be getting reissued through Starship modeler soon. The caster has started pouring molds for some parts. Its taking a bit though due to the size of some of the parts.

Join up at the samurai monkey.com forums to see them.

Working on a little something from Venus Wars again. Not the Octo though. Time wont allow many large projets right now unfortuanately.

Not only size but shapes and details are completely different from the GBP armor seen in SDF Macross. You would have to scratchbuild so much of it that you would be better off just starting from ground zero and scratchbuilding it all.

Here ya go WM. The finished piece is on SSMs reviews section under Mecha/Macross http://www.starshipmodeler.com/mecha/sb_crawler.htm Enjoy the pics. Im surprised you missed this. As far as i know it is the ONLY one completed. (hint to others who bought one) Still working finishing touches on the booster/valk.

I had another kit to scavenge the leg fast packs from. This combined with some "alignment" of the leg pieces to keep the exhaust nozzels even hide the effect well enough. But unfortunately you need a second one for the second fast packs. Double check yours though it may be more forgiving than mine.
-
Youll find that you have 2 different size fast packs too. The smaller leg will get a larger one and the larger leg will have a shrunken one

Funny i have ordered 2 1/48 valks from them since 03. 1 came with resin gear(still no sag) the other came with metal gear. 2 different sources maybe? The one with metal gear came from G system. Both kits went together well but some of the parts need some fine tuning to fit right. Also check the engine leg lenghts on it if you get it. Mine were 2 different lenghts. But through a little jiggery pokery i got them to look even once installed. The only way you can tell they are off is if you pick it up and look at the wheel alignment. One sits a little further back. All in all id say the kit is definitely worth it but be prepared to do some work to make it look really nice. NOT A KIT FOR A BEGINNER TO REISN!

Im working on a 1/6 HMMWV body right now. Converting it from the standard form to one with a turbo diesel grill extension and A.S.K. armor package.
-
You arent the only one. If you could tally up how much all my resin costs now. I could buy a new camaro outright. Thats an exaggeration of course. Hey John, a house warming gift would be cool

Once im settled after moving again and getting reemployed after i get out of the air force ill have more dispoaeable income. If you could space out the releases a bit after say february we might get the 1/35 project going eh?
-
Id like to get in but cant..... Hey i just bought a HOUSE so gimme a break. BUT this means i have a 400 SQ ft basement to myself now. So if john wants to do a line of 1/35 Destroids and pods ill have the space for them.

Yes you DO NOT NEED TO THIN FUTURE! I cannot stress this enough. it is water thin from the squeeze bottle. Be sure to let it dry for a day or 2 before you cut the decal out and soak it in water. Water will not break it up once dry but it can soften it if left in too long.
-
Give them a coat or 2 of future and you should be set.

Thanks MT. I have got the outside of it constructed mostly. Just have to make the knuckle crae for ir and mount the extendable worklight. I have also been working on a companion vehicle for it.

Took a break from guting and refitting the electrics in my 1970s issue king tiger to throw this conversion onto my Hovertruck. I got the hovertruck from starship modeler. I like the look but the hoverfans just kill it for me. So i decided to master a conversion for it! Using the wheels from a modern german AFV and scratchbuilt bogies i sent the parts off to be cast. Well i got tem today and tossed them together real quick and here is the result. I needed a tire that looked meaty with some good tread but not one that would fill ALL the space under the vehicle. It needed to look like it also allowed room for suspension travel. I think the overall effect works.

This is what has been on my workbench. A rather large Ma.K. Undertaking. You may have to register to see it but the site is well worth it if you arent a member already. http://www.samurai-monkey.com/boardz/viewtopic.php?t=800

It was given a check flight before it was sent to me. All works as it should.

Video will probably surface sometime in the winter. The air will be denser and the ground will have a natural cushion called snow all over it.

Painting is done just some panel lines to add in. Dont know why the one picture went green. None of the light levels changed.

That site has alot of casters on it which is why the topic is locked. We are more open to the recasting of certain unobtanium kits here simply for the fact we KNOW they will never see the light of day other wise.
