  1. No wonder why Dash Rendar from Shadows of the Empire remind me of Kurt. Aint that a trip!
  2. The stacks don't look like they're telescopic at all. And remember the saying "Actual product may vary"? This is no exception. I'm confident that they are the final packaging and toy for the Hasbro version.
  3. http://bbs.tfclub.com/showtopic.asp?id=201...orumid=2&page=5 The status of the Hasbro version is pretty much confirmed. Now, The Takara version though......I cannot wait.
  4. I'm DEFINATELY Gettin Hound!! He hold some sentimental value for me. He was the first big TF I had. And my uncle, who was a Drill Seargeant at the time, gave me Hound as a Xmas present. I wish they made a reissue of him before this.
  5. UGH!!! I Wish they'd release the damn thing already!! I'm gettin too anxious as to what the Takara version will be like.
  6. .........FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!!! -Triumph the Dog
  7. Like what other dvd release from who in the last couple of years? try to limit it to anime. *Clears throat* NINJA SCROLL AND DOOMED MEGALOPOLIS!!! Sorry. I get salty from the double dipping that's a trend these days.
  8. If you can stand Romantic Comedies, I reccomend Ai Yori Aoshi. Very entertaining. Heat Guy J's pretty good. If you like Ol Skool Anime, You gotta check out Aura Battler Dunbine (One of Tomino's creations with Miyatake designing the mechs). Licensed by Royalty's looking real sweet. Got the show on preorder myself.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if it's slightly more playable than the JP version.
  10. Actually, Good old FUNimation is releasing KiddyGrade. Proof? Official Kiddy Grade US Website And coming soon from them is the Prince of Tennis.
  11. Or you could buy a better DVD just to get a lame patch I'm an optimist when it comes to Anime releases. Except when it's being distributed by Manga. I expected to see this on R1 in late '04, so this is a delight to get it in three months time. Lame patch or not.
  12. Yall may have heard of this. But here it goes. I got this from animeondvd.com According to an article on Anime News Network, the Gonzo OVA series Yukikaze is set to hit the street on 02/17/2004 and be a part of Bandai's Platinum Line. Unlike past Platinum releases, there will be two distinct editions coming out in regards to the discs themselves. The regular edition will include a Dolby Digital 5.1 Soundtrack in English and the Japanese 2.0 mix as well as one hour of extras. The Limited Edition DVD set will come with 2 DVDs and will include 5.1 DTS tracks for both Japanese and English dubs, will include all the extras from the regular edition as well as an exclusive Yukikaze flight patch (jacket / bag sew on patch). The DVDs will be priced at $29.98 for the regular edition and $39.98 for the limited edition. For those who wanted to see the series, but didn't feel like D/L the fansubs. Here you go
  13. I'll be crying tears of joy and tears of pain when I'll transform Prime. Just like when I first transformed Smokescreen (STILL haven't gotten used to that.)
  14. Dayum! Fair AND Balanced Macross collectors?!?! Do they exist???? PS: Welcome Cid!
  15. It was a toy slogan. Meaning they are more than just vehicles, jets, weapons, etc. They were robots underneath the disguise.
  16. Someone needs to introduce the Japanese to the fine art of cracking your buddy over the head with a loaded rocket launcher (a la Halo). They'll suffer from 3D sickness before that happens.
  17. Highly unlikely. Xbox is not doing so hot in Japan, unfortunately.
  18. Two words. WORLD HEROES
  19. Saw is yesterday. I liked it. I was more surprised they had more references to the game than Reloaded did. The fight reeked of DBZ though. The bus ride home with my boys was the funniest experiences I had in my life. We were basically messing with a boy about the Matrix we live in PS: Didn't the movements of the Zion Mechs remind yall of ED-209 in RoboCop? I swear they used stop motion on them.
  20. I've had a thought about this for a bit. I may be wrong on this. But, Aw hell! Here it goes!!! Remember in '99 when we first saw full body pics of Hugh as Wolverine? I dunno about you, but I remember the backlash. Stuff that was said about him like "He's too tall!" "He ain't hairy enough!" "He's gonna make Woverine sound like Crocodile Dundee!" "The claws are BETWEEN his knuckles! Not on the back of his hand!! That's sacrilige!" Those type of things. When the movie came out, and we all seen his skills, the same people ended up loving him to the point of nearly saturating the poor Ozzie's behind (And eventually forgiving him for Kate & Leopald ) Now we're at the point when we don't wanna see an X-Men picture if Hugh ain't in it. What I'm trying to say here is I believe we should give the filmmaker's a bit of a chance of this. They may suprise us (Of course "may" is the key word on that sentence.) Besides, Most of them gave the makers of Daredevil a chance. And look how crappy that turned out to be!
  21. LOL! This reminds me of the episode in Cowboy Bebop where half the show was about Spike and Jet finding a beta VCR I Love old toy commercials!
  22. The most accurate boots out there are the Lionbot. Quite possible the most perfect bootleg out there. Problem is the latest shipments of the boots end up in Cali where they are scooped up by Ebay scalpers charging up to $120 for them. Personally, I wouldn't pay no more than $70 for them (After all, they are still being made in diecast). The box is near identical to the Original Popy version. People fluctuate on how much the original Godaikin cost at the time. My opinion is it could not have cost more than $50 in 1982. I saw a boot of Dairugger XV at of all places, K-Mart for $10. It was actually distributed by K-Mart, which it perfectly legal as WEP lost the rights.
  23. Hubert, ever since the SOC Dancougar came out, Voltron fans wondered out loud how well Bandai could make a SOC Voltron. Truth of the matter is that it won't happen because World Events Productions flat out bought the rights to GoLion from Toei, and is the sole licenser of it. They gave the toy rights to Toynami. The rights to Dairugger XV however expired sometime in the 90's due to lack of interest from the fans and WEP, so Toei does have it. But DXV, and GL is only remembered by people in the west, so a SOC DXV will never happen. I personally would LOVE to see Bandai work its magic once more (The Dancougar is beautiful, but super expensive for a new toy at $250USD+), but I can only pray for the best as Toynami is designing their "Masterpiece" Voltron.
  24. If you need help on a Voltron toys feature, lemme know! (I am to Voltron what FBRD is to Southern Cross and noriko-takaya is to GunBuster!)
  25. *GACK(T )* TALES FROM THE HOOD!!!!!!!! I met Rusty Cundieff, the director, a few years ago when Sprung was coming out. Cool guy. I wish he'd direct more. *Watching Bones tonight for giggles*
