Nice pics treatment. Would you mind placing the DX pilot alongside the 1/48 and the 1/60 counterparts.
-
Thanks kyekye. I will definitely be doing the same.

I think you have been a bit exuberant in anticipation of your upcoming DX. Just relax and take it slow. You’ll definitely enjoy it slow. Then once you get used to you new DX you can manhandle it to your hearts content. -
I still enjoy all my 1/48s. They have always been a favorite of mine to custom. The unique paint schemes provided by Yamato seemed so sumptuous during their time. Also, these were the closest to the UD model kit by Tanmen. I simply could not get enough of these. To this day I still collect and customize these and enjoy the process. Still my all time favorites, yet the new DX is really close and only time will tell if it will topple the original fully transforming 1/48 by Yamato.

The Ultimate Filipino ROBOTECH Merchandise Thread
nightmareB4macross replied to fifbeat's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don’t believe so. That might only be a prototype. -
This is the way of MW. We’re never happy with what we got. But that’s what I love about this place. It give us something to gripe about in unison. ;P

The funny thing about this that the fins always folded the wrong way. The should fould out towards the side of the leg and not towards over the landing gear doors. Yamacadai never did this right. rdrunner, the legs are shown in use when Hikaru enters the atmosphere to rescue Misa. Even in the animation the legs fold out and not in. eggy99, It’s funny but true. But that is the way of MW.

Tekering, thanks for trying it out. It’s a good thing it doesn’t fit or else that would have killed any future for the GBP.
-
They do. It’s an old technique used by modelers. The nice thing about it is you can remove the effects years later without affecting the finish as long as you topcoat first and then apply the mixture. I have used it on several projects and the great thing is it still looks great!
-
I’m on board with this. I use two methods. One is to use the old graphite or lead shavings with soap and the other is acrylic spray with a fine airbrush. A cotton swab will remove any over application without affecting the plastics. Adding my two cents to make it four!

2) And with this you just went V1.2 Yamato.
-
It’s also for atmospheric entry from outer space.

I hope we are not going to revisit the whole fragile leg fin fiasco from the DX YF-19. Some one has already reported that the fins are sheared at the pins. BTW - Tekering those pictures look fantastic!
-
Oh I truly hope you’re right. Now that you mention it, I do recall the announcement but it was a long time ago. Bandai already has the toy designed and all that should have happened long ago was just a simple paint scheme. How long has it been since the first 31 DX release? As of now I have obtained all of them, but my patience is beginning to run thin with Bandai and Chuck’s missing DX.
-
Just wanted to pose this question here since this could mean the completion of the Delta Squadron. Now surfacing ia a supposed Valkyrie Factory picture of their upcoming VF-31 on FB. My question is, “Would you consider buying this to complete your missing 31 if they were to release Chuck’s Siegfried?” With Valkyrie Factory taking on the VF-31 they surely are playing on dangerous grounds.

So this picture popped up on FB and it is supposedly from Valkyrie Factory. Considering that we only need Chuck’s VF-31 would you consider buying it? I know Bandai did put out some information about movie armour from Delta, but no update about the last missing Siegfried to complete the squadron or was there info released and I missed it.
-
So when does the 1/48 DX VF-1J KO PO come out? ;P
-
So thinking back to the “First Edition” DX, now that it has been released and the bases will possibly not be available for the next 1J release might Bandai replace the bases with the missle packs instead. Here’s to hoping they do. I would much rather buy another VF-1J with missle packs.
-
Agreed. IMHO the only drawbacks for the Yammie 1/48 were the “chicken hands” and the areas that connect between the knee and hip.
-
That new DX is looking good. I am so looking forward to playing with this.
-
Well if Bandai decides to release it at all or as soon as Yamato, then you might want to take a look at the release schedule in the “Toys Section” as tho might provide ball park figure.
-
Haha. Wait what? How on earth will you squeeze a 1/48 DX into a 1/60? I’m asking about the 1/48 Yamato. The request was obvious.
-
Has anyone tried to place the original GBP armor on the DX?
