I still like my 1/48 Collection. How about you?
nightmareB4macross replied to Roy Focker's topic in Toys
1/48 Yamato VF-1S w/SSP Giftset, ToyRUs Edition - JAPAN ONLY. Other than this and 10th Anniversary 1/60 VF-1A CF (V1 with distinct color), was there any other Macross TRUs releases? Someone mentioned a VF-1S w/GBP. Anyone have anymore information or pictures? -

Wow. Great poses everyone. This not much of a pose but I recently picked up these two JW OS Ratchet and Ironhide for a really sweet price and I must say they are far superior to the MP versions. I wish WJ would consider making Jazz or Soundwave in OS formats. -
This has always been one of my fears. Plastic and longevity of the parts has always been of great concern overtime and during repeated transformations. Not sure why the Bandai plastic has become so brittle rapidly. I want to check on my complete set of YF-29s but I just don’t want to see them all crumbled. These have rested in their boxes for quite a few years with only one 4 transformations per. Good thing their all in fighter mode. For those who have transformed your numerous times, have you experienced issues with breakage or stressing?

Ok. Got it. Some days I feel like I’m losing my mind. Fixed.

I understand, but it still doesn’t correct the issue so all the bomb markings are standing the same when they are all mounted.
-
Well yes, but aren’t these all supposed to display in the same orientation as the outer bomb? So really, the hard point connected is to blame. Or at least that’s what I recall from lineart, anime, and many other macross renditions of toys and models. The more I look at these DX the more I keep finding issues that irk me, but don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful piece with so many inconsistencies that it makes me wonder if it was even worth it.

It is so unfortunate for the 262. This was the only breath of greasy air to be released from any company in along time and now we will never see another version or variant of it. Such a shame and a waste of an awesome design. Hope to be proved wrong after the new movie.

Welcome back! Been a long time since I have seen you around. Hope life has been good since your hiatus. Are you still collecting and customizing Jetfires?

It would be great to have the PF VT-1 released. Has there been anymore news about the VF-4 FB 2012 version? It’s been quite a while since any news has comes to light, I really hope this doesn’t become vaporware.

Well, I think for some of us we collect for various reasons and it’s not just to collect. My tendencies are as a hobbyist: - Collect the series or buy what I like. I usually do the former for most of my purchases. - Nostagia. New and vintage. - Mechanical design and visual appeal. - MIB, open and play, display, customize, whatever comes to mind when purchasing. And method exercised during purchases usually leads to multiples. - Buy extras for the kids to play with aside from what I buy for myself. - Army build, to mostly customize. While I do like to collect, my display itself is limited by me as don’t want to display everything all at once or I feel I would get bored of it. Cycling my collection throughout the year helps keep things fresh and appealing no matter the age or subject. My collection has a purpose, to basically tell a visual story of what I like and who I am. I think that’s how most collectors are.

I am such a bonehead...my mind was so focused on all the VF-171 I thought these were custom 171s CF and I forgot what the actual VF-25A CF looks like. I think I have not taken any VF-25 from the garage of any kind in almost two years.

Did you buy into the entire SD line? I remember at one point they were attempting to release most of the main character variations and some support character/mechs. All I ever bought was these (for dirt cheap), as I just wanted to see what they looked like next a JM.- 1588 replies

For those of you who bought into this kit...will you be removing the seem from the canopy? It’s hard to see from this picture but when you see the video the seems really stands out.
