    Aaahrrrg!! I just saw a picture on FB with the 1/12 Hikaru in the cockpit and it looked pretty good. But I didn’t see any with his helmet on and the canopy closed. I didn’t grab a screen cap! ...Found it!!! It does look good enough with the figure, but the price is a bit much.

    Has the Macross logo but the incorrect Macross kite. Did Bandai fire a bunch of people and now they work at KL? Well I guess they can add more rivets to create the parting line down the center of the logo.

    I think this is the only Vefidas figure in existence as a toy. Came with the special gold edition VF-19Kai by Yamato. Damn, I miss that company.

    This is the best that could have been done with what was available in 1/48. I hope Bandai gives us a true TV 1/48 Roy/Hikaru combo set.

    Hey bbilly29, I heard Bandai is releasing a special edition matching armaments set to go with your two step transformation Kakyzaky. Sorry, but the factory misspelled Bandai’s name on the box. You know how it they start with a prototype and always end up with a totally different commercialized product. Can’t wait to order these and put skull and cross bones decals. Awesome.

    I think it’s the newly revised version to go with th Kakyzaky release. I heard it from a friend of a guy who knows my friends guy friend of a friend at Bandaid. Still waiting on pics.

    Total fake. Not even Bandai would put skull and crossbones logos on the tail fins. Let your friend know he’s not working at Bandai. Time for him to get a real job.

    The Yamato 1/48 was always an amalgamation of both TV and DYRL types. The colors were never consistent with one or the other. But because of the head and arms this was always considered a DYRL version. Yamato later on rectified the inconsistencies and created a ndividual representations of each in the 1/60 V2 line.

    Pictures look great but from a personal perspective Bandai seems a bit bland and lazy. All the brown is very overpowering and muted the true impact of the Roy color scheme. Definitely skipping this. Just my two cents.

    I thought it was salt water weathered Grey-Blue. Does it even matter at this point? What’s done is done. Maybe in another 10 years Bandai will have an attempt at this VF and put on the right color with ridiculously oversized tampo printing. So, here is to hoping for a correctly colored future. Cheers!
