Your dedication to this project is damned inspiring good sir! I was wondering about the panels themselves. I never really noticed a particular size of panel that would be used on areas like the booms or legs. Do you have a reference you’re using to determine the size?

Love your devotion to the build. what about “azteking?” Could you achieve the same effect with masking and paint. I believe WMCheng did this with his 1/3000 Yamato SDF-1 and the results were incredible and produced a results that made the ship feel bigger. You guys are giving me inspiration to do another custom SDF-1 but with a ridiculous amount of bells and whistles. That’s why I love this forum, people are great in sharing and the possibilities are endless for customizing.

Was about to put these Takatoku 1/100 Destroids away and didn’t realize just how relatable they are to our current times and those of us who work from home on Zoom meetings. How do you dress when you stay at home? - Dress shirt, no pants, but mandatory boots. - Dress shirt, no pants, and flip-flops because it’s getting hotter outside. - Dress shirt only because you know your just going to go back to bed and sleep after the meeting. These figures are pretty awesome.

Awesome old school items and amazing revelations about the Strike Valkyrie. Makes me wonder if Bandai ever had plans to produce a Super VF-1A given that they used a Takatoku stand in and used artwork to support the VF-1S Strike on the cover art. But where is the love for these guys. Takatoku 1/100 Destroid Conversion Kits!! There pretty incredible toys for their time and the articulation and custom abilities are by far some of the coolest. Oh, and of course it has a metal inner frame.

Just look for NewAge TFs at any of your favorite TF dealers. Also available are DX9 War In Pocket, NBF Pocket War, MFT mini, Magic Square MS mini, and a few others. So far, at least for me NewAge is ahead of the game, but there are a few good selections peppered into the other manufacturers’ releases. Magic Square Light of Justice (Optimums Prime) pairs extremely well with NewAge Agamenmnon (Megatron). To give you an idea of size Cobra Commander is in there for reference. They are also great fun for your kids and pets.

You’re welcome. I feel the same way about the quality of this line.If NewAge was to ever create Macross transforming mech I would be all over it. Hopefully, someone working for their line reads this and is a true Macross fan. Don’t forget your Insecticons.

That makes total sense for a probing head versus a trainer. The trainer head needs to look where the trainer and trainee are looking and with a 1C it should be a separate set of optics one for the pilot and one for rio. So it could be this is a VF-1C.

I always use my Perfect Memory as reference. After all my memory is not so perfect. But I wonder which is correct? The Alternate VF-1D or VF-1C also makes an appearance during the Max an Miria wedding.

Yes on all accounts you just mentioned, but is the only alternate VF-1D head ever produced. So for that I would let it slide.

Lek sure has an amazing skill set. His customs are some of the best out there.

Awesome. Look into the Insecticons set. These little critters are ultra fun. Kids like bugs and if you make it transform it’s an instant win in their book! Pure creepy and delightful fun.

Good thing. Because if you had taken the blue pill you’ll still be in bed pointing skyward and calling a doctor four hours later. Seriously though, you have an amazing collection.

Have yet to come across one I don’t like. I mostly base my level of expectation by size and when they were developed. Sure some can be considered total WTF construction but as long as they convey a good interpretation it makes me happy to own them.
