  1. Just chop and channel the hull, add fins. Then rework the deck by removing and thinning the bridge and finally rework the hatch. All simple mods which are very effective.
  2. Very creative color scheme and great execution!
  3. Love seeing those old legacy forums. Do we still have access to the old forums. it would be a great time to scroll through Memory Lane. Thank you.
  4. Looking forward to this. Thank you.
  5. Man after seeing it so many times I guess I just took for granted that it was there until I decided to pay attention. Thank for reopening my eyes!
  6. Nice. I have been fortunate to see many of these promo posters thanks to good hearted sharers as yourself. Just never noticed the particular revered image.
  7. We’re all good listeners and do as we’re told. That is only if it makes our VF’s look cool.
  8. Wow. I have never seen this level of detail under the chest trustees of the SDF-1 from this POV. Thanks for sharing your amazing collections!
  9. Hi JVMacross, Not sure if you have all these catalogues. If you do, would you mind posting pics? Or if you have already done so can you provide a link or thread. I figured you are the right person to ask for such an obscure set of reference material. I am very curious about their content. Thanks in advance.
  10. Very impressive build. The images are found in Shoji Kawamori Macross Designs Works.
  11. Hey Tekering, So you opted to leave the 1/3000 SDF-1 in lieu of the Hasegawa 1/4000?
  12. I have yet to see anything come through. Last noticed revived was that the packs are scheduled to ship out 4/30, and that was back on Dec 24th. Hope we get these.
  13. I think that’s where Takatoku might have gotten the idea to install the hefty sized landing gear. 4x4 SDF-1 gunning for Bigfoot and Grave Digger!
  14. I think JVMacross has most of that task accomplished.
  15. Your off to the right start. Many modelers begin with collecting then building. Buying kits now would give you security down the line knowing you have the kit you have always wanted but someday will build. That is after your backlog of 30-40 kits is completed.
  16. How’s are the custom S/S packs coming along? Got pics to share?
  17. Tekering, I had no idea there was a scale consortium held and we weren’t invited. Thanks for clearing that up, but I will stick to the G1 robot modes on the NewAge figures if you don’t mind. I finally have something that would look appropriate for cartoon aesthetics. Damn TFs are more hocus locus than anime-magic!
  18. It’s not a PE? I for sure would have though this was the next release to recieve this special treatment and the the VT-1 would follow shortly there after. Easy pass.
  19. When standing: G1 Prime is 6 meters tall and VF-1 is 12.68 meters, more than double Prime’s size. Spike is about 2 meters. https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Official_sizes_and_heights http://www.macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/vf-1a-valkyrie.htm
  20. I picked up a set from a 1/700 vessel. I have to look for the packaging. The set had the antennae array I needed and extra bits. It was similar to this. When I bought the PE sets it was way before Hasegawa or Yamato decided they would do the sets.
  21. I do. They are much easier to transform, paint apps are super crisp and clean, articulations are beyond expectations, and my kids love ‘em. They are a lot of fun to play with. Plus these scale at about 1/60. Which looks great with your valkyries. Totally worth it. Forgot to mention, if you add Impossible Toys Sparkplug and Spike it adds to keeping a cohesive blend of brands for scale.
  22. NewAge. Be careful. They are pretty addictive and there are lots to collect.
