  1. Nice. He has some great carded gigs. Here’s a couple of other sites that could have more... Lots to see here from 1/55 and beyond. https://www.giocattolivecchi.com/Forum_detail.aspx?t=0&id_d=407954&p=1 Also this fine gem Of a site has some very unique 1/55. http://www.robotechcollections.fr/collection_autres.php Enjoy!
  2. Honestly, these should have been released in 1/55. While these are not for everyone, I can definitely say I would have surely bought them. Macross 7 had a lot of interesting varieties aside from the VF-1. I have a victims slated for these schemes just not in this scale.
  3. Awesome. Can’t wait to see and read what it is.
  4. Thanks. But most interest generating sales has been done through posting interest in a respective thread. It really would be best to post WIP dedicated discussion and see where and how far to the point of sales. I think we have had enough discussion about this, or at least I have. I have plenty more to share and looking to encourage anyone who wants to share more finds to please do so. I’ll see if I can work a timeline to better represent the history. Or at least try.
  5. I appreciate your feedback and don’t take your comments as confrontational. We’re all good. This thread is about the “1/55 Revisited” a somewhat official and unofficial history of the mold and what transpired from it. The reason for reminiscing on the pioneers and their championing was to further develop what transpired from the original Takatoku through out history from official through KO manufacturing and how the bridge kept the mold alive through the “dry spell.” This was a time when there were really no options to acquire an official mold without breaking the bank and so your recourse was to either acquire an expensive KO and customize it using various talented artists found here and elsewhere. Believe it or not, at one point a MIB Takatoku could run as high as 3K. A Jetfire could Run from dirt cheap to 1K. And those who wanted options sought out alternatives and that’s part of the history of the “1/55 Revisited.” I for one promote and support those who want to continue and support the mold. At one point I recasted many of the original molds and sold a few here when it was acceptable. I even recasted a VE-1 ElintSeeker Kit in Task3 which is very laborious and time consuming material. And was provided in color and natural. Those who have these kits can attest to their longevity and quality. It was done as a bridge and was never done to derail threads. As previously recommended, new “for sale” threads can be started. But there are other options to create interest as well... Starting your own WIP progress thread and develop a following of your work could promote your work and provide interested parties your a view to your talent, capability, and intent as you take them through your process. If you then see there is plenty of interest, then you can start a “for sale” thread. I am in no ways a mod, and do respect the work involved behind the responsibility. But I also respect others threads and try to maintain the course of the topic as that is the point of the thread. Does it deviate from time to time sure, but it is typically done without intent and then is brought back. This occurs by the actions of mid and yes many times from those who are interested in thread. Thanks for the feedback.
  6. Thanks Jenius.
  7. The item came in a box, in the box was a baggie holding the contents. The baggies was not a channel-lock type (ala Ziplock).
  8. Hot Damn!!! That’s NNNIIIIIICE!!!
  9. Your choice. Thank for sticking to the subject. It is much appreciated.
  10. I get what you guys are hoping to achieve with this, but those who are here are looking for history on the 1/55. Please post a link here and guide interested parties to your sales thread and you can realize your needs there. Let’s try not to inundate this thread with off topic discussion. It really defeats the purpose of what this thread was developed for. Thanks.
  11. Please move this to the for sale thread. I would like to keep this to the corresponding subject matter. Thanks.
  12. There were many greats, back in the day. Jung Chao - Beautiful custom 1/55 repaints. Rob Beers - Recasted Super, Strike, VE-1, VT-1, and a full 1/55 VF-1. Fulcy - The legendary 1/55 hip mods. Rosario Love - 1/55 Super Ostrich customs ad kits. Jason Pi (KidKorrupt) - An Arsenal of amazing. custom 1/55 VF-1. Tony Yao (xstoys) - Just insane engineering of the 1/55 Vf-1D. There were also a ton of great sites back in the days. Do You Remember...Valkyrie Hangar, VF1X, geocities sites. Valkyrie Dream Flight, and much more.
  13. Cool. The first set has the old white decals you would wrap around the red nosecone of Jetfire so you wouldn’t have to repaint. I think the decal makers of that time circa 2000 were, Jung Chao (aka: Jung), Jerry Tsai (aka: vf1x), Eric Mabrich (aka: Takatoys), and IIRC Jeremy (?) (aka: Skull Leader). Skull Leader was the creator of many incredible customs like the Max & Milia Marriage Set, Max & Kakyzky Vermillion Set, And Evil Jetfire. It was a group called AlphaTeam11. He would even provide signed COAs to guarantee the work and origin of the custom. I wonder how many are still out there to this day? Also there was another member, Rosario Love (aka: Rosario and then Redemption), I believe he made stickers as well. But only for an amazing Super Ostrich resin kit he used to provide. He was the creator of Valkyrie Dream Flight.
  14. Would you be interested in selling it as displayed in your picture?
  15. He did. He produced the SDF-1, Destroid Coversion Kit, and several other custom stickers. I wish I new who started the original decal sets for the VF-1S Super Valkyrie. It is a set of decals that captured the look of the blackout panel on the cockpit just like the custom found on the Takatoku VF-1S Super Valkyrie box panel on the back. Anyone know?
  16. It was in a baggie just like these.
  17. I think the was Erik Mabrich, aka: Takatoys. He was also responsible for the highly detailed VF-1 Nosecone with hinged canopy.
  18. VF-1D head was Chris Barretta. VF-1A DYRL type head came from Rob Beers. Wasn’t the originally reinforced GBP made by Rob Beers as well? I need a copy of this armor for my museum.
  19. There is a great KO from the 90’ based off the 1984 StrikeValkyrie VF-1S with 1990 SuperValkyrie VF-1S (the ugly one) and makes a pretty damn good stand in for the Movie color Strike Parts. There is a white and grey (pictured here) version of this available.
  20. Looking good!
  21. Not at all. I could be off on timing and might be a year ago or so. I appreciate you looking for it. Let me just continue to kick myself.
  22. I wouldn’t put past that perm-banned mod. If he didn’t plagerize or figure it out first then he feels it’s not real. Interesting. I will have to try this and if it works great if not we’ll then you got pretty lucky with some assemblyman being a bit stingy with glue.
  23. Same here. But I just can’t justify it for all the real estate play space it would eat up. Who knows maybe I’ll change my mind later on.
