  1. Thank you. Here are a few other I have picked up along the way. The stripped Jetfires are froM ravishingrick, not sure if he is still a member here. The heads and heat shields are from Rob Beers. Weapons are modified and from various KOs like Joons, Clover, and blister packed Valkyries. The VE-1 Armor set with head is from Mike Salzo.
  2. Pretty hazy. I do know it was a non-scale resin kit as there was no scale shown anywhere on the box. The sprites were thick as would be on any garage kit of it’s time. Also the box was white with black font. I am so kicking myself right now.
  3. Have any of you ever kept track of your incoming custom parts from various craftsmen of the Valkyrie trade? Here’s a little something I put together three years ago as I was sifting through parts and stashes. I have plenty more to share but I would invite others to show their custom parts and create a log on this thread for these elusive goodies. Resin, decals, stickers, custom parts, all are welcome and encouraged.
  4. It’s amazing how quickly we all banded and collaborated together to get the facts and provide great information to share with the community. The way we worked together made me think of taking this picture. That’s what makes this site so great!
  5. Even random photographs are a great way to archive.
  6. TEST
  7. Sorry Shawn. This would have been at least 8 months ago. I’m still kicking myself for not being able to acquire the promo kit.
  8. Agreed. Great to see there is still plenty of love for the original Vf-1. Takatoku did an amazing job engineering and executing this magnificent mecha puzzle.
  9. Beautiful pic! I still have hope that one day Bandai will release a TWE White final version. My candlelight still flickers in hopes that this one day is produced aside from this only and lonely mold. It’s a great figure and travesty that we have never seen any other versions preocupes since it’s release.
  10. Stop the red from bleeding onto the white surfaces.
  11. Wish I could say the same. I never had any issues with them before but the DX Strike Parts really left a black spot for me.
  12. Picked up a really nice Loose Matsushiro Jetfire (on left). The nose has a minor scrape and the there are stress marks on the head lasers, but the rest is super clean. This is the tampons Macross kite with Strike head lasers and canopy with frame version. So happy to have this in my collection. The Jetfire on the right is the Hasbro version.
  13. Would be nice to own these and play them. But it has been way too many years since I have played acoustic guitar and I am not sure how I would do on an electric guitar. Wasn’t there going to be a Mylene guitar as well. Or was it released?
  14. Well, to your point I see what mean. But with regards to Transformers that has always been the most notable characteristic of their transition from vehicle to robot mode. It is there to remind you it’s still a vehicle. With all the newer MPs it all about parts forming and it is quite excessive. I like the fact that it accomplishes a great goal to have a balance between modes but it totally off putting knowing this is how it has to be done. Still I like MPs for what they achieve.
  15. Agreed. No panel forming for Macross. I have always considered there being a sophisticated and elegant transition between modes. From Fighter to Battroid the both forma are unique and do a great service to keep them distinct. Or at least this is what I think of for any transforming Macross mecha.
  16. Hmm, so we can customize our toys to make what we want...well then: 1/2000 Yamato SDF-1 HDP Kit 1/60 Yamato Regult HDP Kit 1/60 T-Rex Zentradi 1/48 Yamato DYRL VF-1A Super Hikaru 1/48 Yamato DYRL VF-1S Strike Hikaru 1/48 Yamato/Takatoku (Custom) Orguss Valkyrie 1/48 Yamato (Custom) VF-X TEST 1/48 Bandai DX SDFM VF-1J Hikaru 1/48 Yamato SDM VF-1J Super Hikaru w/GBP Armor 1/48 Yamato (Custom) VF-1D Trainer
  17. Hopefully, I come across something new soon and can share more awesome finds. I swear the older items are drying up faster than ever. Especially the KO items. Thanks again.
  18. Just wait until you get the dreaded “if you select a better shipping options and pay more we will get it to you,” bullsh^t. Then turn around and send nothing. Honestly, they’re lack of customer focus has really turned me away from buying anything from their shop.
  19. You’re welcome. It’s always good to rekindle on the past. And just for kicks here is a picture of the VT-1 instruction sheet that calls out the use of the clip on heat-shield. It’s the same for the VE-1 and 1990 VF-1S Super.
  20. Strike Instructions. 1. 1 full two sided sheet with no description of the Jolly Roger heat-shield only a picture. 2. A separate small leaflet was included to show how to unscrew the heat helix and replace it with the Jolly Roger heat-shield. IIRC there is no other release with this smaller sheet.
  21. You are correct. Only Bandai provided the clip-on and interchangeable heatshields.
  22. Extra heatsheilds are included with the VE-1, VT-1, and the atrocious 1990 VF-1S Super. Also the VF-1A Hi-Metal Hikaru. VF-1S Strike came with a screw on replacement in black. At which, Bandai released the corrected color clip on shield at a later time.
  23. That’s a 1/100 scale VF-1 typically a Robotijet branded KO. Bare metal feel are a dead giveaway. Nice catch pengbuzz.
  24. 2001 reissues and Origin pf Valkyrie versiona do not need to have the screw removed. These are replacement parts that swap the heatshield for the canopy. Only the original TT and Bandai versions from 1990 and before have to be removed via the screw that is set to the landing gear spring. But there were also issues from the original Bandai VF-1S Strike.VE-1 Still had a replacement heatshield via tha acre once again, but a separate heatshield could be obtained in red which would clip over the canopy. Elintseeker, and VT-1 Superostrich, and VF-1A Hikaru also had a clip on heatlshield. Check the main page for Macrossworld and you can read their history.
