  1. I'm curious, if that Tomcat was 2nd Place...What was FIRST? A fully functioning scratchbuilt....????
  2. How are you creating those panel lines? They look so smooth and straight, also all the indentations appear to be the same depth. Would you be able to provide a write up of the process? Thanks, NB4M
  3. I'm pretty sure it is a transformable kit, after all it does state "variable" on the box.
  4. Make up your mind, did Gakken make protypes or didn't they?
  5. What's the point of that...they might as well make it out of vynil. Since it would hold up better than the mediums they are currently using.
  6. hey Agass DON'T BE SUCH AN AGASS, of couse the cap only produces the best quality kits.
  7. Gakken never made the Invid in any of its incarnations.
  8. I would have thought Yamato would try to appeal to the R/T crowds in the US and steal a bit of thunder from Toymani and there Mospeada line. Just curious.
  9. Do you think since Toynami is using some of the DYRL designs/colors from Macross, Yamato would use mecha from RT to create this? invid_Shocktrooper.doc
  10. Now that is one very beautiful piece of work... Great Work Cap'n NB4M
  11. Quality is what the Bandai 1/55s are all about. It has a great deal of improvements over the old Takatoku 1/55s. Bandai IMHO did an excellent re-production of the VF-1. While it may be chunky monkey, it still would be worth having. After all, our VF-1(s) deserve to know their true lineage. As far as collectibility (money-wise), only time will tell.
  12. Chuey, I got the link from a previous post (on this thread) of 1/1 Low Viz Lurker.
  13. Just from looking at the picture in the lower left hand corner...it appears to be, Gay 'Bot Porn GBP?
  14. Nice work, but are you trying to over compensate for something?
  15. Let me try this again...Xstoys, pic please.
  16. Hey Exo, Don't forget Orko...oops, he blew up!
  17. That kit looks really nice. To me it appears like most of the outer space battle scenes in macross. Great kit.
  18. Very creative indeed!! (look behind the valky to the left) I think some one in the background fainted of disbelief... I think if I were to attempt something like this I would purchase a deeper display case and TRY toturn it into a valk hangar.
  19. Anyone remember Liquid Television? Aeon Flux? If you do, take a look at this. Hope it looks as great as it sounds.
  20. Here you are Solscud Let's try this one more time. NB4M JM_Minmei.doc
  21. Solscud, That JM looks awesome!!! Since you are going with the Joke Machine, instead of using the Minmey from that looks as it would if she we're real , why not try using a style that would IMO best suit this custom. Minmei, Joke Machine Candidate? Just give a tweek. With the way you guys can perform decal surgery, I would not be at all surprised this would most defenitely look good. NB4M
  22. Now you can really see the new and true quality of the Macross Zero Products from Yamato, it seems more along the lines of Banpresto 1/100 valkyries. Who knows, maybe you could just swap parts with the banpresto valks and make your own experimental type valk. What's next 1/100 Konig with swapple turret barrels for robot mode fingers?
  23. I think he means the booster tips...that's what I do with mine. The remainder of the armor stays on during transformation. I think if you are used to transforming old types of Taka, Bandais, Takara, etc, there seems to be a natural progression of how to handle and care for these more complex toys. Think about it, when we were all kids, we just went nuts and transformed the heck out of our old TF until we hear that inevitable snap. But in doing this we learned, what seems so easy to do on TV is a lot harder to mimic in real life without breaking someting. Plus these new MOFOs are sometimes really expensive. Just my two cents.
