  1. HOUND... He looks just as good now, as he did back in the days of old TFs. A true classic.
  2. Exo, That looks really great, keep us posted. NB4M
  3. ChristopherB, How about some pics, for old time's sake.
  4. Those are sweet looking hands. How about just one more hand? The one where Hikaru catches Minmei in SDF-1 (DYRL). Maybe you could make a mini figure that would fit on the hand or be permanently attached?
  5. My music preference is very ecclectic. Anyone going to Coachella?
  6. Great Job, AlphaX. What other projects have you got in the works?
  7. Jenius, 1. The only way it has worked for me is to really make sure the resin piece is completely mold release free. I used this on a custom VF-1A head that is made up of half rein and half plastic. **TIP: Use ultra-fine steel wool to sand the resin and plastic just a little , prior to application, this will help the Fusion or Plastikote adhere to the resin. 2. It does work on dark colors, but very light coats are required. Read and follow the instructions on the can and you should be albe to reach your desired color. I used white on blue (1/35 Legioss) and got the color to match the white of other white on white parts.
  8. Now that is a true love of the arts, 19+ years invested into building that superb "living" model. Too bad, I'm only $250K short of buying it.
  9. Hey Exo, Glad to see someone else out there is using this great stuff. To clear coat an item you might want to try acrylic spray can. The method I used was to simply spray from about 10-12 inches away from the item. When the acrylic hit the object it almost instantly dried on contact. Also you can handle the part in about 15 minutes, without worrying about damage to the finished surface. Crystal Clear in very light coats actually works. Don't over do it, as it will show off an uneven glossed surface. Try it on a practice object. When using other paints over Fusion or Plastikote there seems to be no problem, but when you spray this on other paints, no matter how long it has been dried, it will actually crack the paint. You can use it with some success on paint, only when you apply thin coats at 1 day intervals. Very time consuming. Hope this helps.
  10. Can any MWer come to MWCon 5? What is the limit of items one can bring for display?
  11. ChristopherB, What 1/55s do you have planned?
  12. ChristopherB, Your friend has an incredbible talent. Very inspiring indeed. Everyone out there really should take a look at the slideshow of the 1/72 Hasegawas. I am at a loss for words.
  13. Once this wishlist is complete, can we then start on making recasts of the mods for the 1/55's. Such as: - Trapeziodal feet - Extended nose with hinged canopy - Articulated hands - Etc... Does this mean MWers will attempt to rival or improve on Yamato construction and design? Again? SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Prometheum 5, Sorry, I did not mean to discourage you. I just hope we all get what we want. The kit I got a while back was from Mike, he said mines was the last cast, due to the deterioration of the molds. The set I recieved was still pretty nice, and yes it does require a lot of work and patience to get it just right.
  15. What does the surface look like on your tested piece? Mine keep coming out somewhat like the 1/48 fastpacks, good looking but not smooth. Could you post a pic.
  16. Well, pretty much the custom will cost you more. Think of it this way.. - Valkyrie needed for custom $25-40. - Paint - $15+ (or alot more if you use spray cans) - Decals $20 - Elint Armor recast - $75 (if your lucky) - Other materials: files, sandpaper, putty, etc. CHA-CHING!!! - Time & Patience - Priceless It is really alot cheaper to get a 1/60.
  17. P5, If your too lazy to get a 1/60 Elint, then get ready for a world of hurt when you try to cutom build a 1/55. I am still working on this custom. It's been a week since I touched it. That bad boy requires patience and time. I am almost done though, just cleaning blemishes and such. But in my defense, I have already completed: 1/35 Blue Legioss 1/55 VF-1A Low Viz 1/55 Super Ostrich (not really a custom, just refurbished) 1/100 VF-1D 1/60 GBP-01 Gundam And I still have others to complete, aside from the Elint.
  18. GBP...defenitely, GBP. Who would do the casting? Price? I would take 2 maybe three if the price is reasonable.
  19. Thanks, I knew it sounded familiar. I had not seen that pic in a long time.
  20. Sorry folks, I am not familiar with the AG armor. Does anyone have a preview pic? Plus if anyone if anyone interested I have a custom 1/55 Low Viz I still in the process of completing. It just needs few minor details. I will try to post pics sometime soon.
  21. Nice work JasonC. Who's recast armor did you use? What kind of paint are you using?
  22. Oh man that looks awful, you should get that eyesore removed from your collection, immediately. It could contaminate everything you own. If you need help disposing of it just send it my way. Just kidding. It looks good. If your willing to part with the elint let me know. NB4M.
