The show's old, it's not all that popular except to fans of our generation, and they're high quality/low quantity items. That pretty much ensures that the price will be high. Throw in the fact that they must be shipped from Japan and the tiny detail that Yamato and the retailer need to make some kind of profit and there you go. Yamato toys cost what they cost. I myself had to sell a few in a pinch when I needed some money fast. The great thing is that the higher priced items usually either hold their initial value or actually go up in value a year or so after release. Just be ready to say "I told you so." It seems very likely that Yamato will re-release the VF-1A DYRL Max. It's just a matter of time. The only one I think that will not see a re-release, but maybe a variation is the LV, could be a Ltd Prod 1S or 1J. But that could be only me just dreaming and hoping it will come true to life.

I think the GBP armour kind of defeats the purpose of being on an LV when the armour seems HiV in contrast. Still looks sweet.

Did the voting period end??? I wanted to nominate the GBP. While it may just be a supplemental armour, it still very much qualifies as a toy. The incredible detail and sheer awesomeness of the armour should defenitely be considered here. ***Plus it made it into the timeframe for the TOTY for all 2005, just like the previous winner did (MP Prime).

WM, The question is NOT, "...when was this available?!", BUT when will you customize this!!! The GBP was available late December 2005 and there is no giftset, to date. You still have to buy both the valk and the armour seperately.

Nice find. I really like the camo versions. I am also related to renderer of these paint schemes. I know a guy, who knows another guy, who fishes with some women near the lake of some aunt's mom's father that was a distant cousin of the lady who cut my dogs hair, who was twice removed and seperated at birth from my grandfather's twin daughters during the zygote stage.
