1. glane21, still frequents the forum.
2. Capt, YGPM. about the road trip, but for the reason why.
3. Just can't help having much love for these stone-cold, brick-form, valkyries. Customizing these is/was one of the best parts about them. Many people on these boards still seek parts to, at least, do their very own 1/55 custom. Don't hate, , give support, , and extend an olive branch (advice) to all those seeking a bit of mad-chunky-monkey-madness of their own. *I can still remember, there were some pretty awesome customs back in the days, and even to this day. NB4M Long live the 1/55!!
4. I think I will wait to see what other vendors will have offered up as a pre-sale price for the GBP. Hopefully, a group buy is in the works.
5. Can you post a pic of what broke? **Just so you know, the pic in my avatar is a 1/35 Legioss.
6. Let me get back to you with regards to transportation of goods. I think my cousin-in-law will be going to Montreal in the next few weeks (might not be soon enough) but would be passing through MI on his way back. ROAD TRIP! I'll let you know later today.
7. What is it that your sending and how fragile is it?
8. Expensive or not, I'm getting at least 3 or 4!!!
9. Whatever you do...DON'T PULL IT'S FINGER.
10. Excellent work!!! One question though, when will you make it transform?
11. Boy, you modellers sure are touchy. Hey thanks, again for the building tips. They sure are helping. Still, I whole-heartedly agree, one set of legs to be used for all three destroid would be very cost effective.
12. Hey I thought you were a model guy not a toy boy!! You just described Takatoku's 1/100 Destroid Converion Kit.
13. Very, very nice work indeed. Kudos to all!!!
14. If that's the case then the MPC Alpha is basically a mass produced scratchbuild, recast, of a recast, of a recast!!! It seems Toynami completely missed the boat on conducting a final QC, 100% inspector approved process, to ensure pure quality of their product. What a bunch of yahoos. From my experience with Gakken, I think it really just lacks poseability, and nothing more. Details on the Gakken are just fine as they are given IT IS A TWENTY YEAR OLD ORIGINAL TOY, and not just a copy. But hey, to each his own.
15. 326489 Cripes!! I hope those are decals your applying. That 1/72 could really put a strain on the eyes. Great Job!!!
16. I whole-heartedly disagree. I wrote a post a while back comparing the Toynami to the Gakken and the Toynami won out. I will probably be selling one of the big ol' Gakkens soon so if you're really interested keep an eye out. I will also do a picture review for y'all when I get the chance. The Gakken is definitely the more sturdy of the toys though, with that part I do agree. That being said, the Gakkens were no where near a 10 on a scale to 10. They have knees that break super easy and a host of other problem areas. 326254 I have heard of the knee-cap issue, and also the wing and shoulder issues as well, but this was usually due to improper tansformation. It is very easy to snap a part when it it forced. Gakkens have a very unique, step by step transformation sequence. If you miss one and try to go forward on the the next sequence...SNAP!!! Same applies to any an all transforming toys. Still, IMHO, I would rate the Gakken a 10.
17. Amen to that brother.
18. Keep it up! You're doing a fantastic job!!
19. Looking good!!! But I would have to agree on the shading it makes it actually look small. I think thinner and lighter shading would give it a larger than life look. Excellent choice in colors. One more thing, the skull insignia on the heatsheild really dosn't do much for valk.
20. Awe, that's sweet. From what you just wrote, I think I saw a heart beating in the chest of your avatar.
21. honneamise, Your level of detail and skill is trully amazing. What other work have you done in the past?? I really would like to see more of your work. I think the color is perfect for this particular ship, it closely resembles the color of the TV SDF-1. You should take one pic with it using a black background. Inspired, NB4M
22. Cuz, she's one BAD MAMA JAMMA!!!
23. WM Cheng's Fible Optic lit Enterprise
24. I tried to locate something on fibre optic lit models, but instead came across LEDs installed in Hasegawa Models
