1. Has there been a definitive decision on where the Con will be held?
2. There\'s a FanArt section????
3. Hey kanata67, How\'s it going? Are these going to be vaccum-formed or styrofoam? What kind of expense are we looking at. If the price is reasonable, I\'m there. NB4M
4. I\'d say you offer em up like Neova does and people go where they want. First one to get em shrunk to a 1/48 size gets my money, don\'t want no baseball mits for hands... 373186 Actually, I will be doing exactly the same as Neova. Only difference is, he is handling the Eastern hemisphere and I\'ll do the west. We\'re still working out a few kinks on this.
5. If you live anywhere near a Micheal\'s or Walmart, you get those file for about the same price without shipping. The files are known as jeweler\'s files. Also in either of the two stores, you can find pin vises and hobby knife sets. Just go take a stroll through the stores and look around. You\'ll find lots of great stuff.
6. I would say that depends on how you use the bolt and nut method. If you use a washer and a lock pin the nut could be locked into place while the ram pivots on the washer. Also, a longer and wider thread pitch would help. If want to add strenght without to much weight, you can also try carbon fiber rods. Threading the rods can be done by adding a threaded sleeve. If you try to tap thread on carbon fiber, you\'ll just thrash it.
7. How about a nut and bold assembly? I think it is very possible to insert a nut in the arm cannon and a bolt through the arm assembly. It would make it easy to disassemble and you wont have to worry about how stong the magnets should be.
8. Wow, nice job on the details. Loving that clean look.
9. You got it.
10. Official order thread is here 1/48 GBP Hands & Side Covers Please PM me with your needs or wants. NB4M
11. Congrats, murmin!! 1. Married, with our first child on the way. WOOHOOO!! 2. Buy what I like. I would like to buy all the 1/48s, but I can\'t justify to myself having all those variants when I already have them in 1/55. Besides, to me 1/55 is still king and always will be. But, I MIGHT consider buying the new LV and Stealth. 3. I work way too much...you can ask the people who know me. I don\'t do it to buy stuff, I just do it not to be bored. Idle hands are the devil\'s playground.
12. Isn\'t June 17-18, Father\'s Day Weekend? I think a few of the members might not be able to attend it the Con is held on that weekend.
13. I'm still hunting for a sure way of shrinking the molds. In the meantime, please PM me with your requests. Thanks, NB4M
14. You can see there is a ball-joint in the center of the hand, but this cannot be done with only resin and a ball-joint. A polycap has to inserted inside the small block piece located closest the wrist. Without the ball-joint and polycap working together, the pieces would just flop around. The other option is to cast this as one piece so not ball-joint or polycap is needed. It is basically the TV fat hands style. CLICK HERE for further GBP details and review.
15. Those are some nice pics. Especially with the VF-1, Strike/Super Armour, and GBP, all laid out.
16. Well here's the deal. I finally got the 1/48 GBP. I took a look at the side covers and the hands. I will be pouring the molds, tomorrow. - Side covers can be done for $10.00 per set. Let me know if you want the stock grey or valk white color for the side covers. At this time I cannot provide the M&M red or blue. I will let you know when these are available. Low Viz Coming Soon. - Hands WITHOUT the ball-joints and polycaps $15.00. - Hands WITH ball-joints and polycaps $20.00. This is due to the balll joint having to be inserted, as well as, a poly cap to keep things tight. I will see if HLJ has these available and let you guys know when these are ready for ordering. Shipping in N America, S. America, Hawaii, and UK...please PM me. All others please contact Neova, he is handling the eastern hemisphere. Minimum required order $20.00, without shipping. Please PM me with what you want, in this format: Side Covers Valk White - ___qty Side Covers GBP Grey - ___qty Side Covers Max Blue - (Coming Soon) qty Side Covers Milia Red- (Coming Soon))qty Hands Valk White - ___qty Hands Low Viz - (Coming Soon)qty Also include your shipping address, for shipping quote. Thanks, NB4M
17. I got my GBP today!!! DAMN THIS THING IS AWESOME!!! I\'m still at work, I have to wait until I get home to see this on my VF-1.
18. Finally, I will have my GBP in hand tomorrow.
19. Does this mean i am being bumped on the offer to cast these? *see my sig.
20. 369627 This is just weak!!! I think I can get you GBP-1S gift set. It comes with the VF-1S and the GBP-1S in a UPS box. PM if your interested, .
21. I am hoping to finally recieve my GBP this coming week. I think I will do the all the side covers in the same color as the valk. Once I receive it I can then look at what would look better, VF-1 White or GBP grey. This is just taking way to loooooooooooooooooooooooooong to recieve my GBP. But at least I know it's on the way. **NOTE: At work, this site has been blocked and now I have no access to MW at work. So, anyone posting interest or questions, just be patient I will answer all inquiries and acknowledge all interests. NB4M
22. I think they look like a cross of the Banprestos (swing bar), Takatoku 1/100, and Yamato 1/48 (weak attempt). Still I think I am going to get a few of these. What sucks is that I was acually doing this and more to a 1/100 bootleg. Damn Toy-sucky beat me to it.
23. The arms, not the side cannons, will be solid, but they are not as much resin as you might think. I kept them solid because even with the side cannons being mostly hollow they are still a bit heavy and i do not want any sagging. For running wire up from the side cannons to the body you will be able to use hollow brass, which will also make a strong bond between the parts. 368563 Thanks for your reply. Will there be pins installed in the legs, to support the weight of the upper body? I for one would not want brass rods or anytupe of metal supports embedding in my kit. I am planning on adding joints, instead of just pinning the Monster in a static mode.
24. I think he had something in eye, when these pictures were taken
25. Will there be pins installed in the legs, to support the weight of the upper body?
