Anasazi Decals now available through Robographics
nightmareB4macross replied to Anasazi37's topic in The Workshop!
So... ...who will be our next supplier??? -
True. Eventhough we get less gimmicks we still have more issues about not having gimmicks to have issues about.
-
I don't know why, but you actually get the whole arm and not just the replacement parts for the shoulder. Could be the reason for the the $30.00 charge.
-
Those look incredible! Do you happen to have any in progress pics or steps?
-
They sent you the entire arms for two VF-0S? If so, no wonder they're so expensive.

Seriously big. The funy thing about this is that the intakes appear in the correct position on the prototypes and all the pictures on the packaging for the Stand Alone Ghost and the Shin Combo Pack. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16896121@N00/480127557/ http://www.tmpanime.com/index.php?main_pag...cca8fa7644e25cc

Well, I think I finally have your answer. A while back I won an odd Takatoku VF-1S. Here's were it get's weird. The box it came in is for a Takatoku VF-1S (Blue Box). The valkyrie itself is white just like the Super Valkyrie, also from Takatoku. But instead of a yellow stripe on the chest it's painted over in red, and from studying the application, it appears factory applied. The original yellow is still underneath the red. The remainder of the markings are from the VF-1S Super (such as, the "001" on the wing. I spoke with the seller prior to purchase and it appears he purchased this spanking new "as is". So the Kanata67, the variant you have, as do I, probably shared the same fate of being in the final run of Takatoku's production and being repackaged with whatever they had lying around.

Could that be at F&S? I saw the same item, but the guy is unsure on the price.

Hopefully, I'll be getting my set before month's end. I really like the fact that this is release as a combo set. I hate having so many bulky boxes. They're eating up most of my storage space.
-
True, but you've gotta admit, it looks nice. I'll post up more pics later.
-
According to Kawamori, it is very accurate. The color viewed in the anime is incorrect.

AAAAARRRGHHH...I knew I forgot to do something this past month. Oh well. I'll give you buzz later, Bee. You can put me down for the customs contest, in most categories, except the models. If time and space permit, I'll be bringing along: 1. Munny Monster. 2. Set of all four custom Matchbox 7" destroids. 3. Toynami 1/100 VFs - VF-1A Kakizaki, VF-1A TV Max, VF-1A Blue Roses and VF-1S Max. 4. Toynami 1/100 VF-1J Hikaru with custom TV FAST packs. 5. Toynami 1/100 VF-1S Roy with custom STRIKE packs. 7. QF-2200D-S Ghost for VF-0S Roy. Maybe... 1. TV Accurate 1/48 VF-1A AngelBirds and VF-1D (with sliding heatshield and escape pod). 2. TV Accurate 1/48 VF-1A HEADS.

Hidetaka Tenjin Valkyries Art Book
nightmareB4macross replied to Skullsixx's topic in Movies and TV Series
Anyone know if more Macross related artwork will be made or released by Tenjin? I'd love to get a second volume of his Macross CG work. -

Got my two sets today. Damn, these are small and yet so big on price. The quality is outstanding!
-
How about some pics?
-
I just hope all goes well with the first release of the Ivanov version. It would be lack of better judgement on Yamato's part to release the Nora if any immediate problems arise. But judging from the resin prototype pics it looks highly unlikely. Can't wait to have these two vultures next to my other birds. Simply AWESOME.

Tips on modelling and recommendations for hobby putty, paint etc.
nightmareB4macross replied to Poonman's topic in Model kits
Poonman, Have you started working on the kit? Any pics? -
Another way to paint those pesky arrows is to brush paint on by using a pointed end toothpick. Use Gundam Marker Blue for color, or try your hand at color matching. Just dip the toothpick as you would a brush, remove excess paint by brushing on paper first, and apply remainder to the arrows. It works like a charm.
