I'm very familiar with Rob's stuff. I still have a few of his 1J heads. Really great stuff. I think you missed my point about accuracy and longer head lasers. If you want them accurate you would do them to precisely to scale. But if you just make them accurate, but longer, well then they wouldn't be accurate. It's one or the other. Producing the head lasers in rubber is just a another world of trouble. Resin is a fine medium and must be treated as such, without over exerting its limitations.

No, the pegs on the shiel will tweak the alignment of the arms. Thus, resulting in a crooked mounted gunpod. There are several things than need to be done to make this work properly. The shield's right arm peg needs to be shave from the rear, while the mounting pegs on the arms both need to be reshaped. And lastly, the cavity where the gunpod rests needs to be opened a bit more from the rear of the right arm. It's not as much work as it sounds, but it will allow you to mount the gun on either arm without resulting Peyronis' disease.

Longer or (more?) accurate? You can't have both. If these were to be done in resin, just like plastic, it has it's limitations.

This has to be on e of the best movies this year. I hope some toy company out there, namely Medicom or Jun Planning, pick up the license to make these characters into figures. They would be awesome!!!

Well at least the cars are made by a well known car customizer. Barris Kustoms. -

This reminds me of M.A.S.K (Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand). Only this is live action. -
It seems very likely now that Version 3 of the GBP-1S is soon to hit the street. The colors and style selected are definitely Enigma worthy. And a valkyrie of the same scheme would be awsome.

How can you not like the battroid (pope) mode??? Chicks DIG IT!!! My wife actually said, I should buy it (maybe more), if Yamato ever makes it. She thinks it's one of the most sinister and menacing designs ever offered by a mecha toy company. And my wife doesn't like robots or mecha of any kind. That right there says a lot!

It's still in works. There have to be a lot of alterations done before this can happen.

They might actually be reading all our posts, but you know that ignorance is sometimes bliss.

WOW Only one thing looks off on this. The rear section that connects to the Macross, seems slighlty misaligned. It might be the pictures playing tricks on me (mainly the pics displaying the hull up). Excellent job. Now on to details!!!

You really should get at least one to see if you like it. Then of course, you will buy a set, or series. I'm not saying there great, but you can't go wrong with the size and fun factor.

I don't think that would be much of an issue. As it only seems to be top heavy it is in its current resin form. The ABS pre-prodution version should be much lighter with much more thought put into the SV-51's ability to stand on its own. I'm just wondering how there going to make the periscope work without being so fragile. I can only imagine fighter mode of this monstrosity (38cm/15in). AWESOME!!! So, if the SV-51 is coming. Then, surely, the VF-11, YF-21, and the VF-0D should be coming as well. Since it is stated (by Graham) that Yamato IS truly devoted to the Macross license. Who knows, maybe even the VF-22S could make an appearance in the distant future. And as a far fetch, I'd even speculate, the Ghost from Macross Plus. It's a GREAT TIME TO BE A MACROSS FAN, now that we have an actual toy producer on our side.

Blunt?!? Are you kidding? You can't be serious.
-
That's part of my intention.

Maybe, even try it with one hand tied behind your back while juggling swords in the other. But, DND is right. It is pretty straight forward.

Sorry, don't mean to rude. Why post a comment of being no updates, when there is nothing to post? Whenever you're ready to really show something, please, by all means do so.

I still hate to say it. After all, it's Toynami. You might want to think twice about letting kids loose on these. They got tons of parts that are easily mistaken for candy. Yummmmmm, AAAAAARRRGHHH (cough, cough).
-
Damn, those are nice. Anyone know when they'll be released?

I just got my 1/100 Series 2, and I hate to say it but I like these a lot!! The only down side for me is that neck is a bit high and there are no Fast Packs available. I guess I'll just have to make more custom Fast Packs. ***and my own GBP-1S.

I'm still working on it. I've been having issues with my rubber mold material. The resin is not on it's best behavior, nor is the pigment. It's too cold in my workshop even with a space heater. The molds are soft for my taste. I already have the solution. Now it's up to the weather to cut me a break. The arms will be slightly thicker, but not in areas where friction is involved. The critical areas where fissures first appeared should not be an issue. ***It appears breakage occurs due to overtightening the screw at the top of the shoulder. When the upper arm is assembled using the lower screw the part attaches fine with a bit of tension. Then, when you set the upper screw and tighten, a small rubber cap inside the upper arm is squeezed to much and the arm gives. Also there seems to be a very prominant parting line on the shoulder ball joint. By compressing the arm too much you actually bind the arm, which is fine, until you move it. For those who have not broken the upper arm on your 0(s), you can remove the upper arm and do one of three things to help prevent a break: 1. Loosen the top screw on the upper arm. 2. Clean the seam line on the ball joint. 3. Cut a thin slice of the rubber cap located inside the upper arm.

Anyone attempt a VF-0S with a 1/48 VF-1S head?
nightmareB4macross replied to bravo5's topic in The Workshop!
Why would you try to switch the two? Besides the 1S head would rest really low between the shoulders of the 0. -
Official? This is a custom scheme. IIRC, so was the LV1. If Yamato was to hold back on producing something like this because it's not canon, that would be insulting to us and themselves. Milk the molds, Yamato. Milk those molds, 'til they can't be milk-ed no more.
-
What?!? Is that all we get? Thanks? Oh no you didn't get back here and post more pics in other modes.

Don't worry guys. I'm working on these. I will do my best to find a solution. Thank you all for your cooperation. I'll post something later this week.
