  1. Nice collection. You're off to a great start.
  2. Looks good to me. For some reason the green on the production version seems a bit more pronounced than the prototype. But just because of that, it won't detour me from being at least one.
  3. WOW!!! Awesome work, Gatsu! I for one favor the heavy panel lining. Now it just needs a bit of weathing to make it perfect.
  4. A bit off topic... This would make a great side story for the Macross series. Destroid Pilots...UN Spacy ('s) unsung heroes.
  5. Knight 26, I like the way you think. Just to begin my daughters first endeavors into the Macross realm I took her on a shopping trip with me to F&S to buy a few sets of 1/48 Fast/Strike Packs. Eventhough she's only four months old I still think she enjoyed the trip. If anyone out there is willing to help, I and others would be so ever greatful!
  6. Congratulations!! 11lbs, 11oz, that's pretty big!!
  7. The plugs are warped?? Were they re-cast this way? You're best canopy for this type would be vacum formed. Clear resin would have to be a bit thick so it could be polished crystal clear, without warping or breaking.
  8. Do you have the small resin plugs needed to re-create the canopy? They were the small plugs located inside the vacuform sheet that came with the Tanmen kit. If you have those, I can help.
  9. Look in the models section, under Hasegawa. That should have been your first stop.
  10. For both our sakes, let's keep hoping for warmer weather.
  11. Anasazi's new partner for decals aready has these available. Use the search funtion, for decals.
  12. Kind'f like the VF-0B SPW.
  13. What if someone was to contact HLJ and place a large group buy order for replacement shoulders? I'm in for this. Also, I know some of you would rather have original replacements than my recasts, but they are still going to become available should the Yammie replacement become difficult to obtain. Still working on the color match. I keep getting lighter then darker renditions of the color. The first is still holding strong. I'm almost there.
  14. Looks like it going to be released with wing armaments.
  15. Looks weird. The gerwalk reminds me of the Taka/Bandai 1/55s. The head sat really low and not tucked into the fuselage. Nice attempt, but change it back.
  16. ***HERE'S WHAT I TRIED AND DISCOVERED:
  17. Only working on the upper arms. The donor VF-0A I recieved has been repaired, at the elbow, with remarkably great success. The break was caused due to improper handling by the owner. Sorry, Kirith, there's no other way to say this. The upper arms are still holding strong. I'm still trying to get the color match right. I won't be supplying the rubber cap inside. Again, the problem is not caused by the actual shoulder, but the seem line on the shoulder ball joint. Color matching is such a pain. AAARRGHHHH!!!!
  18. It's not really the shoulder that's causing the problem. It's the shoulder ball-joint with the large parting line. I don't know if it was intended to be this way, but I can, without a doubt, say this is the actual piece at fault. If the parting line was flush with the ball joint, you would only have to increase the size of the rubber cap located in the shoulder. It would make a tight and uniform fit. The way it works now is, the parting line causes the circular cavity in the arm to expand and attempt to accomodate by stretching...then viola, you either get stress marks or broken shoulders.
  19. I'm testing the strength of the resin. It seems to be holding fine, so far. Only time will tell. But what worries me is getting this grey color right. It's a special blend. I'm still working on it.
  20. I love GI Joe and all, but these don't look so nice. What's up with Stormshadow wearing flip-flops, Duke with the out of propotion limbs and extremities, and Scarlett with beyond skinny torso and knees? I'll have to pass on these.
  21. I wish my waife was here to see this. She really wants me to buy this. Hopefully, she'll allow me to buy a few of Ivanov's and Nora's versions. ***Edit: Looks like it won't need a stand afterall.
  22. I wouldn't say the scale, just the size. If they were promoting the 1/60 scale, Yamato would have not mentioned anything about more 1/48 re-issues or repaints.
  23. Smaller doesn't always mean cheaper. In order for these to be worth what Yamato wants for these they would have to come with some heavy articulation, opening hatches, cockpits, missles, pilot, removable armour, and some very nice detailaing. 1/48 is really the way to go. This would keep in line with the size that Yamato is currently promoting and not necessarily the 1/60 scale.
  24. Still waiting for warmer weather. The parts are set and ready to create the molds. My material is pretty cold and not as viscous as it should be. I've tried two other pours and they came out terrible. Come on, warmer days! Come on!
  25. POSSIBLE SPOILERS.............. Among others: 1. The General with bash-your-face-into-a-bloody-pulp-action. This would be a set with his counterpart. 2. The General with the half Joker grin. 3. The little girl in her dark green, Alice in Wonderland outfit. 4. The root. 5. The stick insect. 6. The Toad. I really like the characters. Pan is very intruiging to look at.
