Actually there is a larger scale valkyrie produced by Reds in a 1/20 scale. And yes, I did say 1/20. That is unless you consider the group of engineers from mexico who where building six, IIRC *1/12 scale CF Super Valkyries, as a class project. Come to think of it I wonder what ever happed to that project???? *The valkyrie is in 1/10 scale and not 1/12.

Even if it were to be recasted the price might come close to the original due to the material needed to make the molds. This is one huge beast of a valkyrie.

I think you might change your mind if you were to see and handle it in person. The sheer mass of this valkyrie is awesome. Even with the low level of detail it completely overshadows anything out there.

Hopefully, CMs does come through. What I don't understand is by produce crap from sh!t? It really doesn't make sense. If you're going to build something build it well or better. So, now that we have seen a (not so fine) example of the LEGIOSS from Aoshima, does this mean we'll barely see the other three variants? Then nothing for the TRED? I think we'll all have to wait and see if history doesn't fully repeat itself.

Strike one for Aoshima....Strike two for Toynami (since this version is just a remake of their junk)...who's next.

Just a bit of constructive cristism, using black overwhelms the figure and diminishes and warps the scale. Next time, try using grey or an ocre color, leaned more towards a terra color. If you wanted to try and tone down the panel lines use 00 steel wool and scrub your valk to remove and recess the balck a bit more. It would give it a better wash-like effect.

Reds / Arii There is more info here about this and about the 1/35 scale as well. If you paid less than 300.00, I'd say you ot yourself a great deal.

Really nice build. I like the aluminum tubing used for the wing mounted weapons. The kite symbol is a little off.

Actually the VF-0D desing is pretty straight forward. No real suprises making this from the VF-0/A,S platform. It really is a few parts added/switched here or there and moving the cockpit space forward. It just depends on Yamato's willingness to produce it and make it profitable for themselves.

IMHO Megahouse's design is not very appealing. What's with the two white triangles under the chest on either sides of the torso? I hope Beagle can deliver on this design.

These are the only chunkies I love. I still collect more and more of these....I am at about 60+. Not to sound like an a-hole, but I honestly hope the Elint and Ostrich DO NOT get re-issued. I just like the thought of belonging to such a rare club.

Actually there is an old model of the 1/100 VB-6 Monster, I can't recall the name of the company who produced it, but that particular model is the basis of the 1/100 VB-6 Monster produced by Yamato. This model is uber-rare, and a couple of years ago there was an attempt to recast the model for members here on MW. Do a search for it and you'll get a bit of history on this. There is also a HWR-MK-II Monster in 1/160, being the biggest model produced by Imai. Usually these go for about $200.00 plus on ebay. Then there is the 1/200 being the next in line. Good luck.

That's actually not a custom, but produced by W.H.A.M. Special Movie Edition to be release soon, in a more greayinsh tone.
