CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.
nightmareB4macross replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
What the hell-kind-of-link-up is this?!? The legs are spread open? The fighter connects low on the connection bar? WTF...for $250+ I will most definitely pass. After all this time, since the prototype, and this is the best they can do? How terribly dissapointing. -

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
nightmareB4macross replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The RIO does sit higher and the pilot sits a bit lower. It seems apparent when comparing the canopy frames from the VF-1 to the VT or VE-1 one. While on other hand, the VF-1D the pilots are at the same height as the VF-1. -
1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?

Close, but not quite. The chest needs to be a bit taller in fighter mode, or I could be wrong. Is the opening airbrake gone? -
Nora needs a boa, and Shin could use a top hat. Interesting diorama.

We all start off that way. I was the same way with the 1/48, 1 VF-1A CF, 1 VF-1J Super Hikaru, and 1 VF-1S Roy. 30+ 1/48 Valks later...well, you know the story.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?

It might be only after the 1/60 MKII is released. I would guess that it would be available as limited, due to it's immense size. At a price point of 300-350. If this does well, then maybe onto the 1/60 Konig (since the 1/100 can be scaled up perfectly) and then onto the 1/60 MKI from M0. -
Other than the occassional reissues, no the 1/48 is dead. Yet, I will not let go of my collection of 1/48s. I think Yamato should have been continued in this scale, just improved on it. There is an overabundance of room to where this scale can be perfected and made far superior to the "NEW" 1/60. In any case, I too will fall victim to Yamato's tactics and purchase the entire "NEW" 1/60 line. I just hope that after Yamato is done with the "NEW" 1/60, they don't decide to produce a "NEW" 1/48.

Will this also have a double jointed knee? -
Does anyone know if this CF will be packaged with display stand? I've contacted several e-bay sellers and a few say the stand is not included in the box.

...ooooh yesssssss, looooootsss of customs. -
Purchase a large broad paint brush. The type that has horse britlses with a semi-firmness. It is very useful to clean and dust your valkyrie, plus it works it's way into the nooks and crannies and get's all the dust out. I've been doing this for a few years and the results are very satisfying. My work/display are accumulates a lot of dust, so I clean everything at least four times a year.

Those are pretty cute.

What's wrong with my Yamato, Bandai, etc.

There has to be someone out there with a busted VT-1. Place a "WANT AD" in the Wanted Section. I recall, there was someone selling a busted VT-1, not too long ago. -

1. Apply a thin film of crazy glue, using a gel type, on the nubs where the parts connect (on the traspezoidal plate). 2. Make sure you leave the glue to dry for at least 24 hours. This will ensure the glue has completely bonded and dried. 3. Then carefully repace the part. 4. All done. -

1. Open the part. 2. Apply a thin coat of Plastic Weld (in orange bottle with brush applicator), on the parts were you want it to seal. 3. Press parts together. Not to hard though, the Plastic Weld actually softens the plastic. So you don't want to end up with warped parts. 4. Put everything else back together. 5. All done. -
Great now you just opened a whole other can of worms. Gee, thanks, thanks a lot.

It makes no difference to me. I just think if Yamato decides on sealing their boxes, it's gonna' cost us an extra $30.00 bucks. Sealing a figure never gaurantees you'll get a perfect figure everytime. Mind you Yamato, has had several issues with missing or incorrect parts. And if you think receiving an item sealed will have no issues, well let's just say Toynami and their MPCs are a perfect example of what could go horribly wrong.

Why is the Low Vis 1 "cooler" than the Low Vis 2
nightmareB4macross replied to sqidd's topic in Toys
Why is the LV1 cooler than the LV2? Color and Limited Availability. Personally, I like both schemes. But if the LV2 was finished in matte, it would be just as good as the LV1. It took me a while to acquire the LV1, only because of price. There are plenty around, just that most owners who have them consider them investments and not really toys to be played with (I am not one of these owners). The problem for me with the LV1 is that the camo splotches rub off if you handle the valkyrie too much. On the other hand, the LV2 doesn't present itself to grief where in time the LV1 will without a doubt be paint damaged. Yet, the monetary demand for the LV1 will always remain high (with damage present). -
Only the hangar frame is done. I am currently working on the rear panel, side panels, hangar door, floor, and launch arm. And, yes, everything will be functional, just not recastable. Oh yeah, forgot to mention...it's all 1/48!
