  1. They might. But at this time, it has been stated by Graham, that NO this is not in the works.
  2. If that were true we'd all have VF-1Ds by now.
  3. That's a pretty good price.
  4. Read a few posts up. Take your time and you find what you seek. Damn lazy folk.
  5. Wait a minute...I think I got it. Could it be Max's TV VF-1A. Saturation Penetration, could mean the episode where Max is trapped in an elevator after being shot a large number of times while trying to rescue Hikaru and Misa. Saturation of hailing ammo... Penetration damage from said Ammo. Then KABOOM all over the elevator and killing two Zent soldiers in the process. _________________________ Or it could just be TV VF-1A Kakizake...since he get's it in the butt, both in the TV and DYRL versions of Macross.
  6. They still pop up on ebay. Also, if you live in the LA downtown area, I'm pretty sure there is still a good amount of stock left.
  7. I wouldn't say it's an issue of design flaws since the VF-1D is very distinct in certain areas when compared to the VF-1.
  8. Sorry don't mean to laugh at your despair and anger. But looking at it from my standpoint, the post sure is funny.
  9. I can only hope, I didn't do this in vain.
  10. The modifications for this are extreme. It's really wasn't that easy to figure out. The parts needed to make the seats slide up and out required a lot of alterations, and customs parts (not to mention blood, sweat, and lots of swearing). Let's just wait for Graham to give me a response as to wether Yamato wants to do this or not. The design for the transformation mechanisms on this VF-1D are actually the forefront for the VE-1 and VT-1, but not exactly the same as the VF-1D. You'll see it in due time.
  11. It sure can.
  12. This is what we all say, until Yamato releases something new.
  13. Start on page five.... ....sliding heatshield... ...now this.
  14. Wow. Awesome work. Evertime I see this thread go to the top of the forums listings I always have to see what's new. One question: Do the barrels of the Monster obstruct the closed position of the Daedalus forward hatch?
  15. The orange parts are of course John Moscato's beginnings, but the end result will be totally my doing (and as always, thank you John). As far as selling this, I don't think I want to take this on. There about 30 new parts just to make this all happen. I would like Yamato to produce and distribute this to all. Believe me, you don't want to know the estimated cost to perform this recasting task. Currently: - Pilots seat slide in and out through the upper egress in battroid mode. - The head tilts forward. - The escape capsule detaches in all three modes. Even without the cockpit the battoid/fighter/gerwalk mode still stands and the head remains in place. - The heatshield still remains functional. - The head actually (now) has a neck and looks more closely related to the Yamato sculpts and the lineart of the SK books. - All parts are being produced to ensure toy quality results. - No flimsy parts. No low slung head. Everything tucks into place and looks stock. - The swingbar is does not have to be moved to accomodate anything, it works great with it. That's it for now.
  16. Hopefully he's not referring to his 1/55. Exo can attest to that.
  17. Familiar to what?
  18. That depends on Graham's response from Yamato. At this point I'm just refining the sculpt. The only issue I have now is trying to get the connection point from the escape capsule to the VF-1 arm to reach and attach. But it's getting there.
  19. Still doing the best I can....check my avatar for progress.
  20. .....oh great just what I needed to hear. In other words, just keep playing 'till you get to the inevitable point of no return. These issues constantly keep reminding me of the old Tootsie Pop commercials where no one exactly knows how many licks it takes to get the the center, because everyone always takes a bite and ruins the count. One, Two hooooo, Thrrreeeee....CRACK!!
  21. I think the Moon Act and the Paris Act would have been better suited as the 25th Anniversary Valkyries. BTW, why is the YF-19 a 25th Anniversary item. It came out far later in the series. It's like putting a vintage Apple computer with a G4 and calling them both vintage.
  22. I think in order to do a perfect variable 1/60 VF, Yamato would have to go with a stronger material and scale down the 1/48. Of course some areas would not be plastic at all but die-cast. Parts to really improve on when scaling down would be: - Redesigned BP-8 - Better hands. Could be blockier than the original chicken style hands. - IMHO, remove the swing bar all together.
  23. I like them as well, but a really well thought out and executed revision would be very welcomed in my collection. Doesn't matter which variant, as long, as it's better than the 1.0 version.
  24. mmmmmm......................VF-1D goodness.
