  1. Not mine, but these are super minty-mint. So fresh and so clean.
  2. ...ooooh yesssssss, looooootsss of customs.
  3. Purchase a large broad paint brush. The type that has horse britlses with a semi-firmness. It is very useful to clean and dust your valkyrie, plus it works it's way into the nooks and crannies and get's all the dust out. I've been doing this for a few years and the results are very satisfying. My work/display are accumulates a lot of dust, so I clean everything at least four times a year.
  4. Those are pretty cute.
  5. There has to be someone out there with a busted VT-1. Place a "WANT AD" in the Wanted Section. I recall, there was someone selling a busted VT-1, not too long ago.
  6. 1. Apply a thin film of crazy glue, using a gel type, on the nubs where the parts connect (on the traspezoidal plate). 2. Make sure you leave the glue to dry for at least 24 hours. This will ensure the glue has completely bonded and dried. 3. Then carefully repace the part. 4. All done.
  7. 1. Open the part. 2. Apply a thin coat of Plastic Weld (in orange bottle with brush applicator), on the parts were you want it to seal. 3. Press parts together. Not to hard though, the Plastic Weld actually softens the plastic. So you don't want to end up with warped parts. 4. Put everything else back together. 5. All done.
  8. Great now you just opened a whole other can of worms. Gee, thanks, thanks a lot.
  9. It makes no difference to me. I just think if Yamato decides on sealing their boxes, it's gonna' cost us an extra $30.00 bucks. Sealing a figure never gaurantees you'll get a perfect figure everytime. Mind you Yamato, has had several issues with missing or incorrect parts. And if you think receiving an item sealed will have no issues, well let's just say Toynami and their MPCs are a perfect example of what could go horribly wrong.
  10. Damn it Roy, I thought you were taking MW to a whole new direction of valkyries and soft pron. You know, like "Bikes with Beatches." ================ Site I frequent: - e2046 - theclubhouse - animepunch - sgcollect - MAHQ - nightmareB4Xmas (many sites) - and a variable plethora varying sites.
  11. Why is the LV1 cooler than the LV2? Color and Limited Availability. Personally, I like both schemes. But if the LV2 was finished in matte, it would be just as good as the LV1. It took me a while to acquire the LV1, only because of price. There are plenty around, just that most owners who have them consider them investments and not really toys to be played with (I am not one of these owners). The problem for me with the LV1 is that the camo splotches rub off if you handle the valkyrie too much. On the other hand, the LV2 doesn't present itself to grief where in time the LV1 will without a doubt be paint damaged. Yet, the monetary demand for the LV1 will always remain high (with damage present).
  12. Only the hangar frame is done. I am currently working on the rear panel, side panels, hangar door, floor, and launch arm. And, yes, everything will be functional, just not recastable. Oh yeah, forgot to mention...it's all 1/48!
  13. Wow, great job on the paint. It's funny, maybe it wasn't you who mucked up the "NO STEP" markings, but one of your little illiterate support crewman. Keep us posted to the sweet and inevitable end.
  14. This is where it all began.
  15. Fantastic customs. Now, this is the motivation I needed to complete my "full of bells and whistles" 1D. Kudos Kurt for another excellent job!!! His best work yet. I even like the frosted look on the canopy of the 1D with Hikaru and Minmay. Looks like it getting hot and heavy in that 1D. Don't come a knockin' if the valkyries a rockin'
  16. Paint the verniers (in their respective places) then wash them. If you paint then then try to reinsert them you run a good chance of chipping paint in the process. Great job.
  17. Nice collection. But is the Max VF-1A custom gray? Nice tone.
  18. A few years back I went looking through my old toys and decided to look up any history on them. Low and behold, the rest is history.
  19. I don't think I'll ever tire of the VF-1. The design is so simple and complex at the same time. I just can't get enough of it. My only gripe is that there is still room to do more with the VF-1, primarily repaints. Not of customs, but of what remains to be done: 1. TV VF-1S Roy 2. TV VF-1A Max 3. TV VF-1A Kakizaki 4. TV VF-1A Alaska Base 5. TV VF-1? Dark Blue with Red Band on Wing 6. TV VF-1D Trainer 7. TV VF-1D Virgin Road 8. DYRL VF-1S Max This list alone should be enough to keep Yamato busy for a while and keep us happy.
  20. There is one coming shortly, the YF-19 25th Ann Version. I'm pretty sure there will be more.
  21. A bit off topic here but... ...Graham, are you hinting at something? Your sig says something about an SV-61?? Nora Type? Is this for the new Macross show? Or is it just a typo?
  22. Decorate fancy and tasty cakes on the side. I'm working seven days a week and keeping up Nightmare B4 Christmas, Macross, Alice In Wonderland, GI Joe, and various other collections. Been doing this for the past six years...f**k, I'm tired, but at least I'm not broke and enjoying every minute of it.
  23. AWESOME!!! *Faints from pure shock*
  24. That is one of the coolest customs I've seen in such a long time. Excellent work Ghostkiller!
  25. Looking great. Panel lines look thinner and more refined than the previous attempt. Great job!
