No one's upset. I just think it would be justified for Yamato to conclude all the variants available in the 1/48 version for all the masses. It's not like Max TV 1A won't sell. This version is pure gold and many would love to have one created by Yamato than a home-made custom (myself included). It's great and all that they milk the molds, I for one would continue buying the variants (in multiples) as I always do. Just can't get enough of the 1/48.

Does this mean you have the "Credit Card" Valk and the "Comet...(I can't remember)" valk as well? Got pics?

I hear you, brother. According to Graham, wasn't Yamato going to can the 1/48 molds and move onto the meager 1/60 V.2? I think it's safe to say that 1/48s are not going away anytime soon and the 1/60 V.2 could see limited release (and variants) due to the continued overwhelming response, presence, and selling power of the large scale 1/48.

Finally the molds I made for these replacements are being put to great use. Way to go SILVERDRAGON!! These were made a long time ago...

Looks like this year I'll be a no-show. Work is hectic, and all this traveling is killing my customizing time. From the way I'm seeing this I'll be out of the country during the Con.

That's a 1990 Bandai Valk with Strike Armor. Could it be that the Strike VF-1S will be released?? Or that item just a filler?

The way I see it, there are way more than just a few parts to modify. If I go about doing this the lazy way like Yamato did on the 1/60 VF-1 V.2 then there would be no point in me ever doing this.

Thanks. Yes the ladder is scratchbuilt (to a certain extent). The steps are pre-fab from Plastruct in 1:48 or "O" which is actually 1:43.

You should really connsider weathering and washing these. Also they need a serious douding of dull coat. AWWWWWWWE MY EYES!!!

Keep dumping them, I'll just keep buying them. No other scale looks better than a 1/48 VT-1. With all the goodies..............................

Yamato will make another version that is wonkier than it predecessor (spelling). This is not a prophecy but an omen.

Do what you will with the 1/60. IMHO, this 1/48 VF-1D is trully bad ass. Wait 'til you get a hold of this, you'll ba wanting what comes next, next, next, next, next, next...... I am really dissapointed with the 1/60 v.2 it's a complete let down. I was really anticipating more, from what I've read. Well after this is out, wait for either the 1/48 2-seater or the 1/60 V.3. I'd say wait for the former since this is what this kit is intended for. From what Yamato has re-created for the 1/60 V.2 it would just have to completely retooled to accomplish what this 1/48 can do.

I would say plain white but the super strong resin. I've been traveling way too much this year and it looks like I'l bee doing this in towards the con. Hopefully Yamato will change their mind before then.

I've just been thinking of asking Hirohawa to paint the first kit(s). He has a real knack for painting stuff. Kudos Hirohawa!!
