  1. Thanks. Yes the ladder is scratchbuilt (to a certain extent). The steps are pre-fab from Plastruct in 1:48 or "O" which is actually 1:43.
  2. You should really connsider weathering and washing these. Also they need a serious douding of dull coat. AWWWWWWWE MY EYES!!!
  3. Keep dumping them, I'll just keep buying them. No other scale looks better than a 1/48 VT-1. With all the goodies..............................
  4. Yamato will make another version that is wonkier than it predecessor (spelling). This is not a prophecy but an omen.
  5. Do what you will with the 1/60. IMHO, this 1/48 VF-1D is trully bad ass. Wait 'til you get a hold of this, you'll ba wanting what comes next, next, next, next, next, next...... I am really dissapointed with the 1/60 v.2 it's a complete let down. I was really anticipating more, from what I've read. Well after this is out, wait for either the 1/48 2-seater or the 1/60 V.3. I'd say wait for the former since this is what this kit is intended for. From what Yamato has re-created for the 1/60 V.2 it would just have to completely retooled to accomplish what this 1/48 can do.
  6. I would say plain white but the super strong resin. I've been traveling way too much this year and it looks like I'l bee doing this in towards the con. Hopefully Yamato will change their mind before then.
  7. I've just been thinking of asking Hirohawa to paint the first kit(s). He has a real knack for painting stuff. Kudos Hirohawa!!
  8. That's an awesome set up. More pics please
  9. Looks like they didn't pay attention to what you had to say, 'cause they totally fvucked it up and then some. Or maybe, they did listen to you and that's what you remembered.
  10. That looks fanastic Ghostkiller. Did you happen to put any blood stains in the cockpit? On Roy? Still working on this...
  11. I've been toying with this idea, but don't get your hopes up too much.
  12. From the looks of it all signs point to no. So sad, they're 1/48s and V.2 1/60s could have been much better, but that's just my humble opinion. I guess I'll just release the kits and wait for Yamato to borrow (I'm being nice here) from my ideas.
  13. Blasphemy. I thought you were 1/48, forever. Man you sure have changed.
  14. News will be presented at the Con. Stay tuned.
  15. Look closer. The heatshield slides out during transformation to battroid.
  16. Awesome!!! I remember seeing he LV2 at the con last year, it looked fantastic!!
  17. IIRC it shows it well in the commercial fo the 1/60 VF-1S V.2
  18. Not a maybe, because it does. This is a total win in my book. The last pic in Yamato's product page is very reminicent of Arii's old art covers. Beautiful.
  19. If this were true, we'ld all be trully happy right about now. I've always stated my version has no removing parts and everything is integrated into the VF-1D and it's normal functions. I'm really not fond of the lack luster attempts on this. The V.2 is more of a super model that looks great from 50 feet away, but when you get closer it's far from super and IS mediocre at best.
  20. Wow. I'm left speechless, but not in a good way. More in the likes of...is that it? WTF? I really anticipated more from Grahams comments. If these are the so called "gimmicks" I'm sure as hell glad I'm only getting one. Let's me get more 1/48's
  21. So if you do trade Nick for your GF, how will you transform this valk with only one hand? SUCKA!! You iz jealous.
  22. I couldn't agree with you more. I went full transformation, on the SV-51y Ivanov, to all modes right out of the box. Damn scary. Yet, I think I've handled more than my fair share of transforming toys to understand how it would work. But making this transform correctly is a bit mind boggling. It really demonstrates Yamato's true abililty of how to percieve and create a PT toy without detering from lineart (just wish they could manage the same with the VF-1).
  23. Just a small tear on one flap? Damn.
