  1. It's not just that these are re-colors...these are canon schemes, unlike the 1/48 with the Stealth, LV Air and LV Woodland Camo. Also, let's not forget the LV Woodland Camo GBP-1S, Urban Camo GBP-1S and the Strike/Super Stealth Pack. I'm glad that they're making these at least now folks can stop complaining about what's not available and just put their monies where there mouth is. Hopefully, with what Yamato gains in sales from these 1/60 V.2s they can create a whole new 1/48 (or 1/32) VF-1 that would have everything anyone could want. I for one will not complete this line. I think I will just get the VF-1D (to join my Roy) and that's it. The 1/60 V.2 is okay, but 1/48 is still a much better platform.
  2. Not quite, there's still plenty to do.
  3. It seems they're riding the coattails of the MacrossF fever and gaining more momentum by having more products available. Plus it helps them to secure more sale than Bandai by having more variety available.
  4. I think Yamato will continue with making all the obscure valks (basically repaints) on the VF-1 platform first. Then we might see the VF-1A/D Virgin Road and the two seater VF-1D CF *(with the odd head). *this valkyrie very breifly appears during the wedding scene is also found in the Macross Memory book.
  5. Nice.
  6. You're welcome. Take a look at the other metal foils. They might be useful in the future.
  7. The easiest remedy Yamato could have done so the 2-seaters don't look too off is to lower the height of the canopy and slim down the thickness of the backrests on both seats. It would help create a longer and sleeker look without doing any drastic changes. The least they could do is attempt to save this sculpt than just pass it for what it is...Blech. Just my opinion.
  8. Those look incredible. What's next?
  9. Try my source: Bare Metal Foil I would use this when I was making automobile models.
  10. You're assumptions are pretty close when referring about production of the VE/VT-1. But with regards to the canopy being like that of the VE/VT-1, their still off. The canopy is actully taller to accomodate the rear pilot. The molds (if used) would only be another craptacular way of us not getting a true VE/VT-1, and a mediocre VF-1D delivered prior to that.
  11. Funny that you would mention that. Everyone swears that a two-seater VF-1D was used during the Max & Milia ceremony, but in fact it was a two-seater VF-1A that was flown during the entire episode. Yet a lot of people would rather have a VF-1D than an anime accurate two-seater VF-1A. It's all relative to your own interpretation of what is and is not anime canon or lineart canon.
  12. "Your the one for me fatty." Now back to the 1D. Blech.
  13. Blech to this, but not to you SWEET CHEEKS. I don't even want to get into what is wrong with this. It's so redundant and it looks like it will have to take Yamato to make another attemp, that is if they think it's worth it. Still, I am going to be buying this. GERWALK and FIGHTER suck, but BATTROID is ok.
  14. Nice and sincere apology. Still, this thread was getting a bit racy, especially at work. I wasn't sure what to expect next. (Yet, in the back of my head I wanted to see more.)
  15. So close, but yet so far.
  16. Doubt it. He listed another not too long ago. Keep checking his store periodically for more "Special Pre-Order Prices" and you yourself could get lucky.
  17. If you guys were paying attention to his other listings of the VF-11B you would notice that he has more listed at normal pre-order price. I'm guessing he is trying to accumulate funds and promote sales.
  18. Actually, I have purchased from him before (on another item). The guy does come through. Thanks for your concern.
  19. I'll take my preorder from this guy. 1/60 VF-11B on eBay
  20. The GBP-1S set is really a true work of art. The dimensions are a little wonky, but all in all it is nothing short of awesome. There are so many parts to this that it really amazes me just how intricate and detailed a toy can be. I love these. I have six in Standard Blue, two in Urban Camo and one in LV II. Now I just need to finish setting up my shop before I can display these.
  21. If you're referring to the 1/60, it is molded in black. the gold can be removed with a bit of elbow grease.
  22. Since were on the "TV" subject. I had no idea Yamato release a seperate TV version Fast Pack. TV Fast Pack Set
  23. Awesome news!! Does anyone know if the VF-1A TV Max and Kakizaky will come in a special box or just a standard VF-1A DYRL Hikaru Box. Are these just custom paint schemes or pigmented plastic?
  24. The VF-1D is far more complex than you guys might think. Even Yamato's attempt to make a great looking and true VF-1D toy has eluded them. It's not a simple change to a longer cockpit and viola you had a VF-1D, it really is much more involved than that. The VF-0D on the other hand is pretty straight forward. The cockpit is made larger by opening it forward. Then the pilot gets is moved forward and a space is cleared a bit rearward, as well as extending the cockpit rearward. This is sufficient to make allow the both pilots to sit tandem and not look so crammed in the allowable space. The remainder of the changes are mostly add ons to make the VF-0D complete. The heatshield is extended via an additional plate attached to two pivot points on the lower (forward) end of the existing heatshield. From what I have seen, Yamato misapplied their interpretation of the VF-1D. Everything they did with this V.2 should have been used to make the the VF-0D.
