  1. Well, at least they don't clip on to the rear of the wing like back in the 80's with the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie. Bandai is moving forward in toy engineering and development and clipping missles onto the front.
  2. Now, Yamato is getting to the point of being lazy. Their not even trying to add landing gear. They just scribe in hatches. And you have to assemble and paint this? Approx: $30 for a less than 3 inch model exclusive? Screw this. By the time this hits e-bay or any secondary market, you'll be paying about $120+, not including the exhorbitant costs associated with shipping. Thanks again, Yamato!!! No really, thanks for nothing.
  3. Would be nice, but he has sworn off doing anymore toys. All due to a previous bad experience.
  4. I think if Yamato were to do this, then this measure would undoubtedly produce more reasons for people not to buy the Spartan.
  5. MacrossWorld Members say, "That's an awesome idea." Yamato says, "Fcuk no!! How the hell are we to make more money from you infantile and naive, dolts?
  6. There was a thread but it was in general to both toys and models. The example you just gave is for models. novaflo, is asking only about toys. Still a redundant thread, but here nonetheless.
  7. This is exactly how the LV.1 started out. No one cared for the paint scheme and vendors couldn't get rid of them at $75.00, until for some odd reason everyone was clamoring for one and was willing to pay upto $600 just to own one. The Stealth on the other hand is another story. It mainly depends if it's the SS type, if not it still ends up being a "shelf warmer." But only time will tell.
  8. Please post pics when you get a chance. Thanks.
  9. WooHoo!!! I am definitely buying all of these!!! The VF-22 looks incredible, as do the color schemes for the YF-19 (SuperNova and AngelBirds).
  10. Really nice combination and execution of the two versions. This looks very close to the anime renderings. They really should have titled it "Hikaru Ichijo Special".
  11. My guess is the two generic pilots sitting in the cockpit.
  12. Seriously, check out Mr. March's, Macross Mecha Manual, site and you'll be able to read more detailed information of what valkyrie(s) appeared in what series of Macross. Thanks, Mr. March.
  13. That is one beatiful peice of art. The colors are very well balanced.
  14. It's not a toothpick. In scale it's a 4x6 wooden beam to beat the enemy with. It's a low tech undectable weapon only allowed for use on the VE-1.
  15. Dude, we all know how cool you are with those shades (your mom told us). But you really need to take them off when watching movies or videos.
  16. I too am very glad this is being released on schedule. I paid for mine in January and have been waiting very patiently. 1/60 for less than $160 shipped. Hmm...It's worth it's WAIT in gold.
  17. Both the VE-1 and the VT-1 look incredible. I love the added details within the leg fenders. The sculps look incredible. Just one minor issue, I hope they reduce the height on those extended "Wings of Mercury" type antennae on the back boosters. They look awkward on the VE-1.
  18. If this is true, I too would pay less than $40.00 for one these if Hasegawa made one. It's just a mistake.
  19. You can just send it to me. SK asked that I don't give out his address or other personal info. How about a few pics? Is yours a custom or one of the original three??
  20. It was a prize to (IIRC) a contest. Only three were produced and signed by SK.
  21. Nice work. Did you happen to mask off anything for straight edges or did you just free hand the whole thing?
  22. Jotun is Robotech indeed, but I prefer this name to "Orguss Valkyrie."
  23. Thanks guys. I'll post picks when I begin to take it apart and begin details and paint. The legs actually ratchet and hold the Jotun very well and stable. As far as a conversion kit goes, not likely. You really need to use the lower legs of an actual 1/40 Orguss due to the metal parts located through out. I didn't really have to fabricate anyting. Both the 1/48 and the 1/40 fit very well with each other. I'll post more pics when I begin the dismantle. MechTech, at least this time, the explosion will be bigger and louder.
  24. The wait is killing me. Everytime I look at my YF-19 and YF-21, it makes me want this more.
  25. Thanks. I'll be finishing this off later and adding paint and a few other details. Should look more like this when I'm done.
