I detailed mine up a bit and they look awesome. Great price even if they do break there a very easy fix. To date I think I have about 20 and counting. These are fun to customize and they are great canvas to see what you're could look like 1/48 once customized.
-
You're definitely on it. Kicker, are you also collecting custom works from many?? You're collection is like a telling of customs on MacrossWorld.
-
I've got another (obscure and anime correct) VF-1D in the works.
-
D-licious. Now do fighter!!!
-
How about pics of your VF-1Ds??? Don't be shy to transform them into every mode.
-
Historically "perfect transformation" means transition from fighter to battroid (robot) and gerwalk (other) while maintaining the visual aspects of what the creator intended the mecha to look in all various states of transformation, wether the tranlation is perfect or not. This has nothing to do with lineart accuracy nor perfect (connected) moving parts to accomplish each mode. In lame man's terms: Valkrie Fighter - looks good but fattter than usual, but can still be considered and called a Valkyrie Fighter. Check. Battroid (robot) - looks good but has too long of a nose and the legs are too skinny, but still can be considered a Battroid. Check. Gerwalk (other) - looks good and has all the limbs sticking out ouf it and can hold a gun in its cube shaped hands while maintaining an awkward stance unlike the anime series, but it can still be recognized and considered a Gerwalk. Check. ...and so, you get, "perfect transformation". Not lineart accurate, but it get's the job done and sells.

It's not stealing until personal gain is attached to said pictures. Besides, posting pics on these forums is done openly and publicly. There has never been any statement or movement impying that all pictures posted here are to "only" remain here. But that's just something else altogether. Like I said, if he hasn't accumulated any monies or gains from said pictures then there really is nothing anyone can do. Just be the bigger man and shrug it off.

Well, I'm keeping my 1/48's as I much rather prefer the size, scale, and presence. To me the 1/48 is almost like having the 1/48 UD Strike Valkyrie from Club-M, only in a form I can play with and admire further, due to it's ability to transform and interpret the visions of SDF incarnate. Another reason why I much rather keep (and acuire more) 1/48s, is the availibility to customize these into something more. The larger scale lends itself to include more than what you can possibly do with any other scale. For instance, you can completely gut out a 1/48 and add more gimmicks, such as; rotating seats, ejection cockpit (done properly) highly detailed parts, etc. Unlike the other scales (not including the 1/55) where you have to pretty much just go as far as repainting it. For me the 1/48 will always have a permanent place in my collection, just like the old original 1/55 "Chunky Monkey". The 1/60 v.1 is nice, but lacks in every department. Still in some aspects, it does look pretty good, depending on the angle and specific parts. The 1/60 v.2 is nice, but is overly compensating for the what the v.1 could never be, while attempting to look like a Hasegawa type toy and just looking more "neo-anime" than anything else. It's just not for me, if I wanted something to look like a revision of a VF-1 then this is what I would buy and collect. 1/48 VF-1 looks more at home with the larger 1/60s in my collection. While I do have a v.2 1/60, it is set far apart from the others and sits comfortably with the Toynami Beta and the Alpha as it looks more in tune with those Robotech type examples. 1/48 is the only way to be.

Bandai VF100's Official Thread Ver.2

Looking at the right top corner of the box. What is imposed by "Macross Another"? Does this mean there is more to come soon or does this mean "any" Macross related mecha as long as it is 1/100 scale? -
I was really expecting to see more than what has been issued. It would have been nice to create a special gift box ala Toys R Us Japan. At least someone could justify it to themselves to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a box. I'm all for collecting the 1/48, but this is a definite pass for me. I hope the trend of exclusives does continue, as I wouldn't put it passed Yamato not to release the VF-1S Strike Max and the a weathered version.
-
I couldn't agree with you more. The price is right for the size and amount of accessories you get. Sure, they're cheap, but who cares. It's what Toynami is known for. Need we say more? I think the GBP-1S they did for the 1/100 is really good and looks well proportioned, as well as do the Regults. I just hope they don't stop there and would hurry in getting more items released.
-
I'm sure when these hit stateside, they'll a bit cheaper.
-
Since there is no designated topic for these "like it or not" transformable renditions.... Just noticed that the new Series 4 has hit HK and are now available on ebay. VF-1A CF with Super Parts VF-1S Hikaru with Strike Parts - Weathered VF-1S Roy with Strike Parts This is how they should have been released in the first place. I don't know about you guys, but it's time to army build with the CF.

Woo Hoo!! DYRL SDF-1 to start and start saving up for the TV version. I mentioned this thread to my wife yesterday and she is actually allowing me to get this when it is release. She saw pics of it and actually liked it. She also told me to set aside about $800.00 now and whatever else I can muster up when the time comes to purchase. I speculated to her that it would be around that much, just to be on the safe side. Damn, life is good! All I need now is for Yamato to follow through and make available.

Thanks for the info, Roger. But this has been discovered and tried by a few of our members on MW. It does work and presents favorable results. Use the search function and type in "Hydrogen Peroxide". ***Mods please delete this thread for redundancy. -
Wait a minute is that Alto's flight suit behind the Macross Quarter?

Yum, yum, yum... A real MUST HAVE ITEM! -
Oh yeah, this baby is coming home to my house. I hope it's not too hefty on weight. Shipping this thing will probabbly cost as much as the price you pay for this item.

Graham, Does the head of the VT-1 tuck into the fuselage, flat faced looking down with the antennae tucked in?
-
I think this is their best sculpt of the VT-1 or any-two seater by far. Just noticed that the flat antennae on the head swivels. If the head tucks into the fuselage during fighter, I am soooooooo buying two of these.
-
Oh me, oh mine. This looks reeeeeeeeealllyyyyyyy nnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. The cockpit looks good, and the size of the head looks spot on. I wonder if the sides of the head open and close like the lineart demonstrates. Hmmmm, I'm also wondering if Yamato went the cheap route and just slapped normal VF-1A arms on this. Need clearer pics to verify. Thanks, Renato.

You need to find an alternate ingress. YOU CAN DO IT! We all have faith in you

1/60 VF-0 - Fuselage The way it was created to slide back up into the chest of battroid is sheer genius. This is one feature that totally failed the v.2 1/60 VF-1. 1/60 YF-21 - Hands Really nice and full when compared to the chicken hands of the other transforming mecha.
