  1. Both the VE-1 and the VT-1 look incredible. I love the added details within the leg fenders. The sculps look incredible. Just one minor issue, I hope they reduce the height on those extended "Wings of Mercury" type antennae on the back boosters. They look awkward on the VE-1.
  2. If this is true, I too would pay less than $40.00 for one these if Hasegawa made one. It's just a mistake.
  3. You can just send it to me. SK asked that I don't give out his address or other personal info. How about a few pics? Is yours a custom or one of the original three??
  4. It was a prize to (IIRC) a contest. Only three were produced and signed by SK.
  5. Nice work. Did you happen to mask off anything for straight edges or did you just free hand the whole thing?
  6. Jotun is Robotech indeed, but I prefer this name to "Orguss Valkyrie."
  7. Thanks guys. I'll post picks when I begin to take it apart and begin details and paint. The legs actually ratchet and hold the Jotun very well and stable. As far as a conversion kit goes, not likely. You really need to use the lower legs of an actual 1/40 Orguss due to the metal parts located through out. I didn't really have to fabricate anyting. Both the 1/48 and the 1/40 fit very well with each other. I'll post more pics when I begin the dismantle. MechTech, at least this time, the explosion will be bigger and louder.
  8. The wait is killing me. Everytime I look at my YF-19 and YF-21, it makes me want this more.
  9. Thanks. I'll be finishing this off later and adding paint and a few other details. Should look more like this when I'm done.
  10. WOW!! Those 1/72s look amazing. I'm not too keen on these designs but looking at these models just makes me want to have them all. Great pics, honkhet.
  11. While sifting through some stuff in my garage this weekend, I came a cross a complete junk 1/40 Takatoku Orguss that I bought for about $20.00 a year ago, also a $2.00 1/48 that I won from ebay a couple of months ago, and thought to myself...I remember a joke from the animators of SDFMacross and SDOrguss. And the punchline never left my mind. So in about a day I cam up with this. Ha, ha, ha...this joke never gets old.
  12. One of these days I'm going to have to begin this custom. I always flip through the Figure Ou mag just to look at this. Damn, Izzy, why must you torment me with more customs to make.
  13. Does anyone know why Yamato never paints grey on the bezel around the visor of the VF-1J? I painted mine on the 1/48 the other day and it looks a hundred times better, both on the VF-1J SDFM and the DYRL (custom). Especially when the GBP-1S is atteched. *NOTE TO SELF - Even if these end up in the bargain bins, they're still not worth it.
  14. First off...Congratulations on your bouncing baby bundle. Here is another, option that would be to fold up the boxes and stack all the insterts in a small closet. The accessories can be placed in baggies (labeled) and put away in the same closet. Keeping the boxes is a bit of a hassle when there in box-shape, but once flattened the free up a lot of space. You can always unfold the boxes to their normal shape, when the need arises.
  15. Only if you display the items in dynamic poses that throw off the center of gravity on the figure that it then tends to fall with the slightest tap. The YF-21 is pretty sturdy on it's own two feet without the use of any aids. As a matter of fact I have my YF-21 on a makeshift shelf loaded with other mecha and wether I bump the shelf or not the YF-21 (and others) stay standing. --------------------------------------------------------- geepogi, If you can see if there is any other alternative like placing a small rubber disc inside the ball joint, or adding a small shim to increase friction. These can be removed in the future event that you need to replace the parts.
  16. Awesome job. My favorite part was Hikaru's headless VF-1J dogding a blast from Kamjin's Glaug, by quickly turning into GERWALK!! ROTFLMAO!!
  17. Exploding wings??? I've never hear of this 'til now.
  18. Oh I'm still planning on releasing all these. I'm doing the best I can with the alloted time I have.
  19. After seeing this, I would most certainly have to say that there is a very great possibility that Yamato would issue an Exlusive 1/48 version of the VT-1. Everything about it is screams set up to a larger scale. I love what they've done with this scuplt. This is a definite must have for me.
  20. I thought these were to be released in mid to late April. Would be nice to get these in sooner.
  21. I looked at the listing again. Guess what? The person who listed the item seems to have made a dramatic error with their photoshop madness of over/under correcting pictures. The listing is now for a blue slip cover as seen throughtout this thread.
  22. IIRC, the valks are made by REDS. Available scales were 1/24, 1/32, and an odd 1/20 . The 1/24 was polyresin and the other two were just resin. All have very little details. Only the 1/24 is painted and needs minor assembly. None had strike or super packs.
  23. That pretty much sums it up. Here's a couple of 1/48's that I have always loved to see, since day one.
  24. Well here's the latest version to make an appearance. Black Slip Cover 1/48 VF-1S Weathered Roy
  25. Awesome recast head!! Are the shoulders recasts as well??
