  1. "Hi Metal" can mean from full blown metal build or just metal feet and legs for added weight. If the metal is used in the appropriate areas (transformation and articulation points) then count me it. But would the "Hi Metal" category include the VF-19 or just everything thereafter?
  2. Both are a definite must have. All these years of waiting have finally paid off. Eventhough, I do have the YF-21 and VF-22s Gamlin, I'm still in for these. Both canon and both awesome, what more would any Macross fan want, aside from a better price. It sure is great to be a Macross fan.
  3. Wow, looks pretty cool. But, wait, WHAT...an already yellowing V2 1/60 vf-1j??? Wasn't this just released? What a crap load.
  4. I'm still not liking the incorrect position of the backpack and how it sits too far back in fighter mode and too low in battroid. Also that bridge connector for the boosters is a real eye sore. Nonetheless, I love seeing how nice and sleek the VT-1 looks. Good Job Yamato!
  5. Both of the new YF-19(s) look great. I'll have to get these when I get the chance. I'm really digging the orange w/black scheme. Perfect for HALLOWEEN. Can anyone of you two, please take a pic of all 4 variants (side-by-side)? In all modes? Thanks,
  6. Good. More for the rest of us.
  7. Who is the pilot from top-left-hand corner? Seems like a Stealth V.2 1/60 is destined.
  8. Wow!! That is so damn cool!
  9. Is that legit? A few of us were actually talking about this item at this year's MWCon. I guess it isn't a myth after all. Be ready to be hit up by xstoys, I'm more than sure he wants this.
  10. Keep them here they look very nice.
  11. Looks good, but correct me if i'm wrong to state... TV - VF-1D Trainer VF-1J CF Commander VF-1J Vermillion Squadron Commander VF-1S Skull Squadron Leader DYRL VF-1A Skull Squadron VT-1 Super Ostrich (only linear when seen in the movie, and not rank) VF-1S Strike Valkyrie
  12. Well after looking through this new reference material it really has nothing insightful to offer. I was hoping to see more in regards to transformation mechanisms, but it is mostly a few new tidbits, such as: the seats (new versions?), six-types of vernier thrusters, and that's about it. I'm pretty meh about the whole book. Also, a lot of the (revised) reference material looks as though it is only based off the Hasegawa offerings. There are no real cues of the older reference material. Definitive? Highly unlikely.
  13. It would be the same custom box. I think AgentGHQ has his facts screwed up. That what happens when you're a "head pilot". One to many bumps.
  14. If you're making your desicion based solely on what you are seeing, then you really should invest more time and read and view more pics and info on this. This is an issue where size doesn't matter but mostly what you get out of it as a whole. The engineering on the VF-11 is far better that the YF-19 and on par with the YF-21. But based on the fact that the 11 is smaller, you basically get a much larger bang for your buck in a smaller package. Go out and get yourself a VF-11. You won't be sorry.
  15. Judging from the pics, it does look like the new 1/60 GBP-1S chest can fit on the VF-1D. If you look closely, the chest has an open curve where it rests on the chest of the VF-1J. While on it's counterpart 1/48 GBP-1S the same chest are is linear and does not accomodate the chest. Take a look at the pics and you'll see what I mean. ---- Note to self - I am soooooo getting this.
  16. OFF TOPIC: Agent-GHQ, why are you being such a hater. drkstar00, asked what was YOUR favorite valk. Not, is your valk better than mine? You really should start paying attention to the thread content and realize that MacrossWorld is not about you. ------------ BACK ON TOPIC: My faves are definitely the 1/60 YF-21 Guld, 1/60 sv-51 Nora, 1/60 VF-0S Roy, and then 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru Strike, but not necissarily in that order. This is mostly based on the engineered accomplishments. But for all nostalgic purposes it's hands down the 1/55 series from Takatoku and Bandai.
  17. I wouldn't think Yamato would do this. The most they would consider is revamping the VF-0S to assure parts don't break. Afterall it is a 1/60.
  18. It looks amazing!! The darker tone on the mech makes it appear far more menacing than it is. Would you mind sharing details on the build?
  19. I hope not, I wouldn't mind buying more exclusives (just not the weathered versions). Graham had stated in the past that Yamato was done with the 1/48 line and to this day they're still making repaints. Go Yamato!
  20. I just love the color of the production toy. It's no where near as dark as the promo pics. Great job, Yamato!!
  21. Awesome!!! *Especially in person.
  22. Love it. I am so there. Thanks for sharing!
  23. For years many of us have wanted to acquire a larger SDF that towers over our collections (myself included) and now there is talk of a smaller 1/3000 version. Lame. Keep it 1/2000 and just make improvements on it with more details and whatnot. Either way, if Yamato is going to release a 1/2000 or 1/3000 it is going to be expensive. Just by making it smaller does not justify it to anyone else but ourselves. In a narrow perspective I'd think you'ld get more bang for the buck on the 1/2000, even at $500 a pop.
