  1. Awesome job. I know what you mean about the plasti becoming white. I tried this same thing on a dingy and yellowed 1/55 GBP-1S using a over the counter 3% solution, but it took 4 months to actually see results. I kept the parts in the sun for a week and nothing happened. Then, at the second week up until the 4th month, I left the parts in my garage. I did remove all the yellow but turned he blue parts light blue, while the red and white cleaned up really nicely and held their color. The reason why I left the parts soak for 4-months is that I totally forgot about them. But hey, it still works. Just a note: remove all metal parts as they will oxidize due to the hydorgen peroxide.
  2. Wow, talk about having the "wool pulled over your eyes". I am not going to claim that I am in the toy industry and understand every aspect of it, but I will say this; when it comes to a sale and you know you can sell a lot of units and still make a profit (be it small and looking at the bigger picture) it would be best to do what it takes to make it happen. If it can't be done at at an attractive an end user price point then why bother making it at all. If the toy is within our grasp, why pull it farther away by placing a ludicrious price on it.
  3. **Thanks for info, but this is really dissapointing and unacceptable.
  4. I had this problem as well, but until I figured out that the reason the belly plates were not flush is when i noticed that the hips are the culprits. What you have to do is push the connecting bar for the legs into the main body while at the same time pushing it towards the fuselage. It is kind of hard to describe but once you try and achieve what I am explaining you'll see the parts remain flush. Hope this helps.
  5. Nice helmets. Looks like they can be worn. One of the pics clearly demonstrates padding.
  6. WOW!!! WTF!!! And I thought Yamato was going to gouge on this.... UBER EXPENSIVE MACROSS
  7. Ok this is just getting ridiculous now. What the hell is going on over at Yamato?!? $2K for a resin version of the Macross, not thank you. It really is too bad that this is what Yamato has resorted to, by having way over-priced items that will only drive customers away towards other items that may be less desired. What's next a $10K 1/60 Destroid Monster MKII?? Made from overstock cardstock of left over boxes that were to be used to ship the $2K Macross? Thanks for nothing, YAMATO.
  8. Awesome!!! Can't wait to own this. I wonder just how many of the little valkyries will be included with this.
  9. Hmm, I think it's funny the Elint has an ostrich neck. Still, it looks nice. Pass for me.
  10. Wow. Looks really good. I wish it was more like the UD from Club-M with removable panels and more options, plus a strike pack. Several things to note: -Arms are more squared when compared to the slender renditions of Yamato's 1/48. -Nose appears a bit longer. -Gun pod nozzle is smaller and more acute. Great start, Hasegawa!
  11. 40% off means they are willing to make little to no money on "deadstock" that only eats up warehouse space for new items with new and higher margins.
  12. I thought for sure you would have been true to 1/48s, forever. Afterall, the 1/48 head has a lot more room for the 1/60 pilot than the v.2 1/60. What a head pilot.
  13. FCUK YEAH!!! Now that's what I'm talking about. A definite MUST HAVE!
  14. Yummy 1/48 goodness. Vegas, I can never get enough of your quality of pics.
  15. Hey, he paid lots of good money for the VF-22S. The least he could get is a lap dance.
  16. Sorry to go off topic here, but I'm noticing a few things in the VF cluster shot. v.2 1/60 VE-1 has yellow booster tip?? 1/48 "Weathered" GBP-1S??? Another exclusive?? Graham could you give us more insight on this? Thanks.
  17. ??? What for ??? Customs?
  18. Holy Frack!! Awesome news!! Damn, loving Macross will only lead to a broken wallet.
  19. The TV Max 1A looks better in standard TV fastpacks. I tried the same when I got mine, but I TV packs came out on top.
  20. The hues are different blues between the two, with 1J Max being darker than 1A Max
  21. Try reading the article once more. Just in case you missed these points from both paragraphs... P1 "Although American collectors have claimed sightings for years, no evidence has ever turned up, and both Japanese toy scholars and industry insiders insist that it doesn’t exist.)" P2 "But how fitting would it be if the combined wishes of uncounted Macross-maniacs finally willed the damn thing into existence?"
  22. - small shoulder pads - chest far too wide - intakes too large - head too wide - crotch connection too thin * depending on how you see it - upper thighs too large - legs a bit on the meager side **Also If you look at the CG vs the model GERWALK the knee joints are way off. Who ever designed this must have done this in way to many parts to take this all in as a whole VF.
  23. Hmm, interesting build to say the least. It could use more details at the severed limbs. Maybe some "gak" and wires could be used to make it appear as if parts were ripped apart instead of just removed from the poly joints. Great job, Ron.
  24. Yamato, please just finish the VF-0 line. Then move on to bigger and better things.
  25. Finally, the wait could be over.
