Hmm, so this erases the model/toy line all in one stroke. Could this be the future of Yamato strategy until the global economy gets better. It would be kind of nice to get various 1/60 (YF-21, YF-19, etc.), but then again who has the time to build all these? Also, wouldn't selling these on sprues make it easier for bootlegs to appear?

"Magician's Lord", damn I was hooked on that game since it's release. I beat that game so many times. It was hard as hell getting through the final maze. I always wanted an arcade version of the SNK/NEO GEO Arcade Style Booth, but priced at $6500.00, at CNA Robinson (arcade game retailer) it was nothing to sneeze at. I would always walk in to CNA and see the latest in arcade style games, up until it shut down it's doors. **What the difference between this and the NEO GEO GOLD version?

The 1/48 UD Strike can only be built with the strike pack on. If you wish to make it a non-strike, modifications are required. There was a 1/48 UD VF-1, that was later released at WF, without any strike parts. I hope to one day own one of these. I personally feel this is the most incredible Macross model through out the ages. Timeless....

That's an easy fix. All you need to do is remove the legs from the T-Bar. Unscrew the block portion that resides inside, just behind, the intakes. Then remove the old rubber caps found inside. Buy a 1 dollar sink mat and a single-hole punch. Punch out two circles from the sink mat and replace the originals caps with these. Screw everything back together. Put everything back together and viola!! Better than new. I've done this to many used valks I have bought, and this remedy has never failed. NOTE: Find a black rubber sink mat, so the color can match, closely.

Not quite, the term "Perfect Transfomation" was never meant to reflect a toy or model that transformed lineart accurate, but more rather, transform from a fighter, gerwalk, and battroid (relating to VF, etc.) while keeping the unique distinction of what each transformation is meant to convey based on what the creator has provided. All designs based on Kawamori's renderings are just slight interpretations of what can physically be done given the constraints of space, scale, and media used to create a tangible product.

Same here. This is way to early to tell if this is nice or not, but from what I can tell the parts are falling into place just as they should be. It also looks as though the chest is not completely locked down into place on battroid mode. Thus making the shoulders to appear to low. Other than that I can't wait to see the end result.

I don't own the V1 of your kit, but I do think in the name of progress it would be nice to see an even better version. I don't think there would be any harm in making anything better.
