  1. UPDATE.... The weapon was screwed up yesterday due to the overly-humid conditions, that's why it is sitting in a bath of Simple Green. Other than that, this Orguss valkyrie is a GO!
  2. FIRST - DO NOT attempt to remove the head lasers, as they are screwed from the inside out. SECOND - Very slowly and carefully run an exacto blade across the seam of the head. There are about 4 pins that you will either cut off or luckily miss. Once the head is disassembled the rest is self explanatory. Good luck and remember to be patient. Running an exacto across the seam is time consuming, and dangerous to your fingers if you rush this.
  3. Nice move cryptkeeper. How about you place a link in your sig and if anyone's interested let them look for themselves. I was hoping you had something new...but nothing new since 2003 to 2008.
  4. I got to see all the series up close, and I must say, they are incredible and very detailed figures. Whomever misses out on these is surely going to kick themselves in the rear for doing so. Glad I got my set.
  5. Hey Mech Tech, You do realize, that you can enlarge the lineart from Macross Pefect Memory if you were to use a scanner or printer. These look incredible. Awesome work. Can't wait to see more.
  6. Well there really is two ways to look at this... 1. Yamato could be re-issuing a third edition of the VF-0S/A with all problems (hopefully) omitted. OR *2. (Eventhough it's been quite a while), these could just be leftover stock from the first and second editions. The only way to know is wait for peoples reviews on this latest installment. Once you have all the facts in hand, then it would be safe for you to make a very well informed decision. Also, you might want to contact Graham and see if he can give you more insight on this. *Just a thought, as this is what recently occured with V.2 VF-1J/GBP-1S combo pack fiasco.
  7. An audio jack would be kind of cool. Yamato could throw in the Mac7 soundtrack and people could connect it to the VF-19 and play Basara's "Listen To My Song!" all day long.
  8. Those 1/60 figs you sculpted look great with everything clustered together. Great job.
  9. This is incredible news. So now what happens to Bandai? Anything they now produce will be made bigger and better by Yamato? Could this be the beginning of the end for the Hi-Metal series?
  10. How about adding these to series 4? Hikaru and Misa DYRL in VT-1
  11. Boldoza! Need I say more. This is awesome.
  12. You might as well make both. I'm already working on how to make this transform. (In my head of course.)
  13. Let's hope this will generate funding for the VF-0D. If they fail (with more broken shoulders) on this attempt it could, be the end for Macross 0 products. Or at least the VF-0.
  14. IIRC, I think it is more preference as there is no "official" detailed color scheme.
  15. Hmm, while I do like the idea of having another transforming VF-4 1/100 kit. I just can't get around the anorexic dimensions. I think I'll stick with VF-4 from SHE.
  16. Let me guess...copies will be coming soon.
  17. I've used several different things... 1. Scalecoat - Works well on 1/55 and similar "smooth" surfaces. By rubbing, you can remove some paints in as little as five minutes, with just a heavily doused cotton swab. Just don't rub too hard or you will mar the surface. 2. GooGone - Same as scale coat. 3. Orange Floor Cleaner - Will strip paint off a 1/48 (or most anything) without discoloring or harming the plastic, given about 1 month in a OFC bath. Plus it leaves a nice scent. 4. Simple Green - Will strip the paint off anything given a long period of time (approx 1 month). Not only will it completely remove paint, it will not harm the plastic. Also, it will remove old stuck on paint on plastic handled paint brushes and return the bristles to normal, just be sure not to soak wooden handled brushes as the Simple Green will bloat the handle. Oh, and it leaves a nice scent. Always remember wash off anything you use to remove paint before priming or the resutls could be disasterous.
  18. Wow. Thanks for the great links and info. After all these years, who'ld've known Macross could resurge so much in popularity in this day and age. Ahh, Macross, still the original and still the best.
  19. These look awesome.... ....from 50 feet away. What the hell was Revoltech thinking?
  20. IIRC, there is a scene in DYRL where the VT-1 is crash landed by Misa.
  21. The artiulation on this is VERY minimal. The sculpt is rather nice and goes well with Toynami's 1/100 line. Is Voltron Volume 1, of the Robot Vinyl Collection?
  22. Replace the rubber caps with new ones, by using a single-hole punch and an old sink mat. Works like a charm.
  23. You're 1D looks awesome, unlike the usual grey or black panel lining. How about a close-up pic of the faces; Hikaru and Minmei?
