  1. Holy crap, Cap. What's going on here? How times have changed when people now mail number 2s. It used to be number 2s in a flaming bag, then a knock on the doorstep...
  2. That is one awesome looking valkyrie. Can't wait for the release of this.
  3. Take you're time. Your attention to detail is amazing. Are the spheres metal, then coated in transparent red (Tamiya) or are they clear beads?
  4. Hey LSB, The VF-1 Variable Master File is correct for the alternate universe as explained by Shoji. But if your looking at these in the sense of being incorrect, well they are, based on the original lineart drawings.
  5. You'te right about that. Also, there are illustrations of the VF-1A in various modes. I was actually hoping to see more of the SV-52 and the YF-19. Hopefully, more visuals or models will be showing up real soon.
  6. I guess this would make complete sense, since there are so many discrepancies when compared to the "Gold Book" and "Perfect Memory".
  7. Are there any pics of these racers in Battroid and Gerwalk mode??
  8. It's always amazing to see just how much you progress. Every detail shows up well. Seeing your progress is both, very inspiring and tempting to do my own in the same manner. Thanks so much for sharing.
  9. Hiikaru Ichijo VF-1J $25 Just came across this. Sorry, not my listing.
  10. Hey MJ, If all goes well with the sales of these next series, might I suggest the following: - DYRL VF-1A Kakyzaky - TV VF-1A "Dark Bird" - VF-1J Stealth Type (Bronze Accents) Last release: - VF-1A Angel Birds /with fan racer - VF-1J CF Hikaru Command Type - VF-1S 30th Anniv. Valk. BTW - Great looking sculpts.
  11. Finally. These are a definite must have!
  12. IIRC, those are from last year's WF. Those are really awesome kit parts. I'll see if I can find the sculptors web page. He basically demonstrates the build up and casting of parts.
  13. It's the whole lower portion of the leg that seems too be bigger than it should be. But then again, if the dimensions were slimmer we would be looking at it predecessor (YF-19) all over again.
  14. It's so beautiful... ...it brought a tear to my eye.
  15. You might be right about a 1/48 V.2 ever seeing the light of day, but never underestimate the will of people to buy something they already have, only newer and better. Before you post, please read on. The best example is what has already happened. A lot of fans bought the 1/60 v.1 (sold off or kept part of them), then moved onto the 1/48 (then sold off or kept the 1/60 v.1 and 1/48), and then moved onto the 1/60 v.2. History could repeat itself, wether we like it or not. Now the question is...When?
  16. I did this repair on JasonC's VF-22 Milia. After removing all the screws, as you pointed out, I stiffed the loose wing connection by adding a thin styrene strip in the area where the wing moves. The increased friction helps keep it in place. (I don't recall the screws being different lengths, sorry.)
  17. Got anything you could post? Might give lurking eyes (we know you read this Yamato) an idea for the next VF-1 re-work.
  18. I can wait for Wave's Monster release... In the meantime, I'll just settle for this Destroid Monster (SD)
  19. Experten Blogs Translated
  20. Try this page. Holy Moly
  21. If only they could add more gimmicks with little compromise that would be fantastic. Yamato could rework the 1/48 VF-1 and just need to rework the "low" slung arms in fighter mode, swing bar, and increase poseability at the hips and shoulders. Not really to much to do. After that, they could add more goodies to mix.
  22. Tamiya version is called a Polishing Compound.
  23. Could be. Sometimes the yellowing can be caused by a heat source to which the decals were exposed. I've had a few of his sets and have had this issue before (pretty much ruined).
  24. I'm sure Yamato can add a ton more detail with a redesigned sculpt and better overall proportions, especially in the larger 1/48 scale. The real question is will they do it. Last I remember, Graham stated, Yamato wanted to continue doing everything in 1/60 scale to have a cohesive toyline. Oh well, here's to hoping and praying that one day it will be done.
