Macross themed debit/credit cards, do they exist?
nightmareB4macross replied to mrhillz's topic in Collectors
Also, there was lottery for an all black VF-1J, aka; credit card call. IIRC there was only one winner. -
My thoughts and well wishes go out to all people of Japan and those affected by this incident. I'm glad to hear that our MW bretheren are all well and accounted for.

Yamato 1/48 Scale Storage problems & solutions
nightmareB4macross replied to aurascope's topic in Toys
Don't turn this into another 1/48 vs. 1/60 V.2 thread. We all get it, we understand, you've made yourself loud and clear, your point is clear, we know what your saying... ...redundancy makes your point very bland. Please just offer a solution or your two cents to the topic at hand. Thanks, -
Yamato 1/48 Scale Storage problems & solutions
nightmareB4macross replied to aurascope's topic in Toys
IIRC, in the past a few members would take the valkyries out of the original boxes. Bag the valkyries and accessories Place them in totes. Then flatten the boxes. Trays would be stacked seperately. And manual and stickers sheets would be filed away in folders or in the same totes. There were pictures of Kensei's collection demonstrating this very method. I always thought about doing this myself, but as my collection grows, everytime I get a new shipment in I have to reorganize my allocated storage. The good thing is I am done collecting 1/48s, I have more than enough. -
Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie
nightmareB4macross replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Wow, prices are getting steeper for every new issue. But, in order to show support for the new mold and the possibility of future releases, I will be buying a first edition. The Fire Valkyrie looks like a champ! -
Not into the whole statuette version of this, but it is better than nothing at all. Also, I wouldn't mind if the assembly was that of the T-Rex soldier, and a cloth coat was made. It would be rather neat to customize this figure with Revoltech joints for greater use and display. Of course this could present itself as an "Exclusive" under the HDP kit realm. Which is ok, presumably that is scaled as a 1/48 kit to later be sold as a 1/60 toy.

Whats is your most priceless Macross Item?
nightmareB4macross replied to SilentCrossHairs's topic in Toys
This is bit of a tough question to answer, but here goes: 1/55 VE-1 ElintSeeker - Bandai 1/55 VT-1 Super Ostrich - Bandai 1/55 Super Valkyrie - Takatoku 1/55 GBP-!S - Takatoku While on the non-Macross (mecha related) items, I would say: 1/40 Olsen Orguroid - Takatoku 1/35 Bilbine - Takatoku -
Holy crap, Cap. What's going on here? How times have changed when people now mail number 2s. It used to be number 2s in a flaming bag, then a knock on the doorstep...

Take you're time. Your attention to detail is amazing. Are the spheres metal, then coated in transparent red (Tamiya) or are they clear beads? -
Hey LSB, The VF-1 Variable Master File is correct for the alternate universe as explained by Shoji. But if your looking at these in the sense of being incorrect, well they are, based on the original lineart drawings.

You'te right about that. Also, there are illustrations of the VF-1A in various modes. I was actually hoping to see more of the SV-52 and the YF-19. Hopefully, more visuals or models will be showing up real soon.

Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie Space Wing
nightmareB4macross replied to Talos's topic in Movies and TV Series
I guess this would make complete sense, since there are so many discrepancies when compared to the "Gold Book" and "Perfect Memory". -

It's always amazing to see just how much you progress. Every detail shows up well. Seeing your progress is both, very inspiring and tempting to do my own in the same manner. Thanks so much for sharing. -

Wonder Festival 2/7/2011 Winter Macross Kits
nightmareB4macross replied to ahiachris's topic in Model kits
IIRC, those are from last year's WF. Those are really awesome kit parts. I'll see if I can find the sculptors web page. He basically demonstrates the build up and casting of parts. -
Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie
nightmareB4macross replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's the whole lower portion of the leg that seems too be bigger than it should be. But then again, if the dimensions were slimmer we would be looking at it predecessor (YF-19) all over again. -
It's so beautiful... ...it brought a tear to my eye.

You might be right about a 1/48 V.2 ever seeing the light of day, but never underestimate the will of people to buy something they already have, only newer and better. Before you post, please read on. The best example is what has already happened. A lot of fans bought the 1/60 v.1 (sold off or kept part of them), then moved onto the 1/48 (then sold off or kept the 1/60 v.1 and 1/48), and then moved onto the 1/60 v.2. History could repeat itself, wether we like it or not. Now the question is...When?
