Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
nightmareB4macross replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Not really. Like I've stated before, Yamato is clever and there is plenty is time to do this, given Graham's possible due date. -

Hmmm... This questions reason as to why an ElintSeeker that appeared in a movie for only five seconds made a huge impact and was produced, and to this day is still coveted by a lot of fans. One episode or five seconds, either way, the missle bay option should/could be available. -
Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
nightmareB4macross replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
There is still a possibility and time to have both options present. I think Yamato is too clever to give up too soon even if it is a 1/60 scale. If the primary mode of the VF-17 is battroid, then they can surely make this happen. Yamato just needs to know, "They can do it." -
What's wrong with my Yamato, Bandai, etc.

Even if someone tried to pry the parts open at that partiular area, there is no glue present. The glued area are aft of the intake blades. "shattertastic explodium", I think you could be right about this. -
Yamato 1:3000 SDF-1 Macross - unpainted model kit

You're right about color casting not being tricky, but color matching is a real pain especially with resin parts. -
I recently came across listings for a VF-1 series of various valks that transform to all modes (4) and are only 7cm tall. So who makes these and where do they come from. See this ebay listing for more info. VF-1 series From what I've seem they are avaialble as: VF-1S Roy VF-1J Hikaru VF-1J Max VF-1J Milia VF-1A Canon Fodder They look like great tabletop displays in most modes, except battroid (talk about FUGLY!).

6 Foot Long Daedalus Scratch Build Up
nightmareB4macross replied to MechTech's topic in The Workshop!
Wow, MechTech!!! FIVE years later and you're still very devoted to this project. I'm glad to see your wife isn't jealous of this beauty. Great job. -
Great job as always, Newca. Will the 1/60 v.2 be the next item on the drawing board. Would be great to encompass all scales of Macross VF versions.

Just throwing my hat in... I think the new title should be the "All Macross Super Dimensional Collection(s) Thread" w/ subtitle "Everything and Anything Macross Related". ***Great collections everyone. -
Thanks, Reïvaj. I'm currently in Arlington, TX. Once I get home I will be able to continue this project, and an Orguss Valyrie, and the DYRL SDF-1 Kit. Plus other custom odds and ends.

Looking great!!! The mods I did for you really help it stand out. Keep posting more progress pics.

I didn't know the Macross had a gerwalk mode.
nightmareB4macross replied to danth's topic in Movies and TV Series
I think it's pretty neat. And, if you look inside the "Macross Perfect Memory", the publishing is riddled with little gems such as these. Plus the old Takatoku can do this as well. -
xstoys, thanks! Kicker773, congratulations!! Sorry, but not taking any commission work at this time. My work space is currently occupied. miriya, thank you too. I've been pretty busy these past couple of days and won't be able to continue until late next week. Decals and more details, coming soon...

Thanks for the kind words, guys. The Daedelus and Promethues are actually "Shale Blue". The reason for the different shade of color is that in the TV show the adoption of the vessels was more of a strategic afterthought and not a concept originally proposed when the SDF-1 was being refurbished and repurposed. Also, since the carrier and the submarine more than likely saw actual use in the water there might me a different shade apparant, because of direct exposure/contact to saltwater and various other elements. Overall, it a personal choice and it just makes sense to me. But, I agree with you about the color of the SDF-1 and Daedelus and Promutheus. The show always had them the same blue through out the series.

What's the scale of this?

Photo-etched antennae and radar systems. 6. New bridge details. 7. Reshaped and Thermo-formed bridge lens. 8. Removable, carrier ship elbows. 9. Switched L-R biceps to allow a more correct Cruiser Mode. 10. Constructed magnetic joint system for elbows. Also entry for bicep docks. 11. Modified hull, bridge, and hinged-hatch for Daedelus. DAEDELUS ATTACK!!! 12. Modified hull and details for Prometheus. 13. A-stance hips. 14. New knees. (1/55 VF-1 feet) 15. Additional mobility to feet. 16. Glow in the dark appliques. 17.
