  1. It's amazing what can done with blocks of wood. Good job. Are the legs meant to be that wide? It almost looks like its wearing part of the GBP-1S leg armours.
  2. Hadiuos, Any update??? You've got me wanting MORE and MORE!!! Fantastic work!
  3. Looks good, but I think you over did it on the accents. Maybe a more subdued tone would work??
  4. Dan, Before you decide on moving forward, I think you should take note that the figure there appears smaller than what is represented on the lineart, or anywhere else for that matter. By the illustrator reducing the size of the pilot most of what you see can be achieved. Start with using a standing figure, about Roy's height and work your magic to get awkward limitaitions out of the way. I myself did this the hard way. Using the 1/48 Yamato and pilot, I actually figured all this out long before the VF-1 Master File book. Heck, I was asked to have a small session at MWCon about 3, maybe 4 years ago, when I finished the first 2-seater with topside egress and removable cockpit, while retaining the head in place. Check out my 1/48 gallery and you can see for yourself. It is possible.
  5. What?!? Mari choose Japan over MW?!? DECULTURE!!!
  6. Wing detail?? I thought it was only the head and colored stripes that were different.
  7. I think you got the better part of the deal. Now you can ask her to mix and bake an SDF-1 cake any time you want. Or, maybe some Regult cupcakes.
  8. Great pics everyone. Spiff, I love how your 1/3000 SDF-1 pretends to be a destroid. Pow! Pow! Lorn_13, That is some seriously nice resin kits you've got there, as well as, great customized toys. Kicker773, quit screwing around with Photobucket. It makes me hate you more. J/K. . Luv you(r stuff) man!!
  9. WOW!!! That is beyond comprehension.
  10. Lovin' that space aged "ghetto blaster". I'm definitely in on this. Maybe two???
  11. Yum, yum, yum,yum... I need to get a few of those sets. Thanks for the pics IXTL.
  12. Great job as always Mr. March. I can't wait to see what you bring forth as content for the Macross the Ride. Pics, pics, and more pics!! BTW - Were you ever aware, in the Macross (TV) there is a squadron that appears two instances, known as the "Persimmon Squadron" (Orange-ish/Red accent colors). Both times they are sent out as first wave response and immediately get blown to bits. IIRC, they apprear somewhere between episode 25 -27. The colors on them are like that of the "Alaska Base". Check it out.
  13. Retcon is rampant in the Macross universe. Official color schemes on tangible products will for the most part be non-canon.
  14. I can't wait to see this in person... Fabulous job as always Kurt!!! Long live the 1/48!
  15. My eyes hurt just thinking about working on such tiny figures. Incredible work so far. Hopefully you won't be cock-eyed by the time your finished.
  16. Looks fantastic. It looks much better than original.
  17. Why not leave well enough alone?? I personally don't care for a remake. It's just another excuse to turn the beloved SK style VF-1 into a Hasegawa-stick like VF-1. I like my VF-1s on the slightly heftier side. There, I've said it, and proud of it. Besides, look at what Macross the First did. While it is cool to look and sure there are slight story changes and all, but all it does is fog up my memory of a time when all Macross pure, as it should be. Do we really need Macross to be retold in a slightly different way? NO!!
  18. We are way past this point. http://www.tinyimports.com/ScratchBuilt/JokeMachine/JM.htm
  19. Chthonic, your off to a great start. No need to sell yourself short. Hope to see this comleted in the near future.
  20. Nice catch. Congratulations. One thing that doesn't appeal to me is that it make the underside bulky. Is this just a cover for the arms???
  21. Way to go Yamato!!! Would there be any possibility to have attachement struts made to attach this in the top-side of fighter mode. I know it's a non canon request, but it sure would be cool. BTW, is the actual speaker projectile removable and does it reveal the speaker???
  22. That scheme is really nice. Time to make another custom scheme in 1/48.
