Whats Lying on your Workbench MK IV

I should add, it’s best to keep your empty jars to make goop for any project or repair. - Left PW with chopped up feet parts from 1/55 - Center PW - Right PW with chopped up bits of ABS and Styrene. This is a good blend that also adheres to metal. FYI. The hand in this pic has it on the back to increase its girth. Once it dries I sand it to shape and ready for prime and paint. -

Thanks. I use two: 1. Tamiya Putty Basic Type for fine filling fine lines and scratches. 2. Plastruct Weld with ABS and Styrene scrap all turned into filler and strengthening bonds. Just be careful with this as it does take a day or three to cure depending on how much you apply. But once it on, it stays on. -

@Papa Rat that FFS kit came out great!! Still need to work on the shoulders, hand slider, and the other hand for improved articulation. Little bit little it keeps getting there. -
Bandai 1/60 DX Chogokin Macross 7 Fire Valkyrie

I wonder what the actual height will be. DX doesn’t mean 1/60. Just like HMR does not mean 1/100. let the entertainment begin. -

That is unfortunate, but I must say for a toy produced in the mid 80’s to finally break is pretty darn good. Post a thread in the want section. It might help source what you need. Good luck.

Before you begin. Make sure the blue leg locks located above the heels are positioned as if the legs were to lock the legs together in fighter mode. If these parts are tucked away the recessing function will not allow the ankle to collapse. Pull the out the feet as far as the can go. Pivot the toe front to back and then push the heels in. It might take a couple of attempts as the parts are very tight. It works. Trust the process.

I fear this gun won’t make it beyond ten years before it starts to fall apart in similarity to plastics used with gold accessory GI Joes. Sure hope to be wrong about this. Would rather have had it in grey plastic with gold paint. Sure the paint will wear but it might be more resilient over time.

Whomever finished this figure did not collapse the ankles. Just spread the legs apart and work each ankle/foot into place. The parts are really tight out of the box. But in the end it fits nice and flush.
