  1. I posted some pics on page 14 of this thread for size comparisons... Yamato's 1/12 Brutishdog and Takara's 1/18 Strikedog and Scopedog:
  2. Intresting.. Is that a "plamodel"?
  3. My 1/18 Strikedog came with defective locking mechanisms on the calves, thus they're always flopping around..
  4. Hey thanks!! That was the quickest torret ever. Lots of seeders!!
  5. Thanks for the heads up Mowe, I'll keep that in mind.
  6. I dont have any problems with the Takara nor the Yamato Votoms. Both have their Pro's and Con's, but I figure for $30-$40 more you can get a baby (premie actually) sized Yamato votom. Its more "bang" for you buck IMHO.
  7. Hey thanks for the link. Ideon is nice BUT... I'll skip. I might pick up those new Spec EVA01's and King Joe though.
  8. Since we're speculating here, how about earth being the final refuge of the quasi-human/cylon race? since both races seem to follow the same prophecies. And the Galactica and the human survivors AND the cylons were actually our decendants? Ok, I'll shut up now.
  9. Courtesy of tin from toysdaily Tempting, especially the articulated fingers..
  10. Im not sure if this is a whole new figure or just another weapon set for the Yamato 1/12 Votoms.. Translations welcomed. Sorry so small..
  11. Wahahahaha!!! You never know. Anything can happen. Back on topic.. Now that we know who 4 out of the 5 final models of cylons are, anyone want to speculate who the 5th is? 2008 is so far away....
  12. Thanks!! I knew I could of done alot better. Especially when I started painting it as soon as it came out of the box and that was like saturday afternoon. It took me the whole sunday just to finish it. But yeah, I think it was a bit rushed. I might work on it some more if I have time. Its just too bad they're not in-scale to each other. I figure takara will make a Brutishdog one day. Till then I'm happy with this pink (Magenta?) monster. Anyways, I didnt take any before and after pics but here's a couple of an "out of the box" Brutishdog's courtesy of mcfitch from CollectionDX.
  13. Its not loading for me either.. It did earlier though and from what I've seen, it looked great. I wish they just sold the extra's separately though instead of buying a whole new unit 01. Still, a very clever marketing ploy for bandai, hard to resist
  14. Thanks!! That's Kairi from Kingdom Hearts 2. Stands about 6 inches ( I figure she's 1/12 scale) , nicely articulated and fits right inside the brutishdog.
  15. Some size comparisons... first off Brutishdog and Strikedog (takara) With the takara first release scopedog.. Max Factory Turbo Scopedog. Standing turtle..
  16. We need some pictures on this thread Some pictures of my "lightly weathered and paneled" Yamato Brutishdog. Enjoy!! The Pilot.. for now lol.
  17. Graham, the PVC in the Max Factory Votoms isnt as flimsy as people may think. In fact it feels very solid (like polystyrene almost?) It isnt soft, doesnt bend or feel rubbery like the gundam Msia's.
  18. My Yamato Brutishdog came in today. Its my second yamato Votoms and Im surpised with its overall improvements over the first release. The joints are tighter and they even added some racheted joints (especially in the ankle area). I was even more surprised with its die-cast claws, they look and feel dangerous, so there's no way Im letting the two year old play with it. The gattling gun has a cool feature.. when you push and pull the clip (removable), the barrels spin. The back pack features extra clips that dispense like a pez!! Lastly it has an extra pair of "rollers" on its heels (makes it faster?) this is definitely a badboy (girl?). Highly reccomended. Gripes? No pilot figure ofcourse, hopefully that Fyana figure will come out soon. Also its toy-like colors. So disturbed was I with this that immediately whipped out my paints and started paneling and lightly weathering it.
  19. Thanks!! But I thought Mr Devin wasnt doing anymore decals.. Is he still active here on Macrossworld? I havent had any experience with his decals. Are they sticker type, dry transfer?
  20. Im looking for those too. The stickers that came with the yamatos are too thick. I'd settle for those "rub on" transfers or even the wet transfer decals. I think the scopes on the scopedogs are a bit small on the yamato versions or maybe its because its not painted? On a side note... I just got the Standing turtle MKII and the turbo Custom scopedog by Max Factory. The paint job and the articulations (theyre tighter) are a major improvement over the first wave. The PVC used is very sturdy and does not bend at all like those miniture gundams "in action series". Still not happy with the price and lack of a pilot though.
  21. My reccomendation is to wait for the Diecast Tachikoma. I have the megahouse one.. its nice but not great. The joints are too loose and hardly stands on its own. Definitely not worth the $80-$120.
  22. ummm...also promised the ball and chain that this would be my last. She's been good to me all these years and has been very understanding with my hobbies.. and she says I must obey or else!! (she has the keys to my display cabinets)
  23. Im eagerly awaiting this cause it will be my last mecha/toy/figure.. seriously running out room PLUS I got more toys than my kids lol
  24. I need to weather my yamato Votom. Its too toy-like. So Im just going to copy the weathering pattern off my takara one. If anyone's intrested, they (Yamato) are making a Fyana figure along with a generic soldier to put in your votoms. I forgot which forum I got this pic from..but it aint mine. Also, yamato USA is having a sale on their whole Votoms line til April... accessories packs and votom variants galore!!
  25. Common problem with the dancouga also loose hands..
