Ride Armors, Legioss and Treads! Oh my!

Damn... Im tempted again. -
The Pics online are mis-transformed. He's definitely better than the original (well, slightly lol) His transformation is a lot more complex, he is taller and his head sculpt is more show accurate. But you can tell they spent more time on the design of the beast mode than his robot mode. I hate the design on his arms. Still recommended though. Cant wait for dinobot. I wonder if they'll redo the whole Beast Wars line.

I just got my Animated Longarm/Shockwave and Blitzwing from HTS!! Blitzwing I couldnt find anywhere so I ordered him online. Much cheaper than other online sites IMHO. Shockwave was a welcome surprise..because he was in STOCK. For those of you planning to get Shockwave, get it now. Its easily one of the best Animated Figures out so far. Ignore the Box pics and the instructions. Theyre a nightmare and not accurate. It makes me laugh how mis-transformed the pics are such a mess an excellent review on shockwave/longarm by Peaugh

They need "REAL" time ordering status's and HLJ suffers from too many national holidays that slowdown the ordering process considerably.. other than that EMS? Theyre quick.

Does that shoulder problem apply to the 1-A too? Im getting a little nervous about recieving it now.

Does anyone know who'll be selling the yamato version here in the states? And if so, how much will it retail for?
-
Daimos looks hot. Definitely picking up this one as well.

Whoa!! Thanks for the link on the SOC Raideen!! Im looking forward to getting the DX version now.. and.. As much as I'd like to get the SPEC EVA-02.. Im going to have to cancel my order. Sticking with SOC's. Im not to impressed with SPEC's anymore.

My first 1/48 was a Hikaru VF-1J, 1st release. Even though I was in awe by it, It still had minor tweaks I had to correct myself. E.G. Loose joints etc. I guess over the years they've (yamato) listened to their customers. Recently, I bought the VF-1A Mass Production version, ready with my screw drivers, clear nail polish, dremel etc. Ready to do what I had to do. Surprisingly, right out of the box, it was trouble free. Nice tight joints, swing bars stayed put in all modes. I guess the QC people at the factory were doing their job that day hehehehe. All it needs now is to be panel lined and lightly weathered and its done. Now all I need is the VF-1S and My collection will be complete.

Speaking of which.. Anyone know where I can find a VF-1A cannon fodder in 1/48 scale? none seems to be around..even in evil-bay.
-
  Having the SV-51 makes me so much more appreciative of my 1/48's. They're so much sturdier than the newer 1/60 stuff. I've had my VF-1j for almost 5 years and she's still as tight as the day I got her..errrr..that didnt sound right

Just opened and transformed mine today. Its great in all three modes. I just wished they used racheted joints on the hips and shoulders... Still, it stands and holds poses better than the YF-19. (hated the non-locking torso on the 19) Its yamato's best work yet (in my opinion) so far. NO QC problems on mine ( no stress marks, no dreaded left left hinges etc) The wings dont seem to flop like people say (though a just little bit with all its accessories on in jet mode) even when held upside down. The stand is a plus but it isnt really needed for posing. I like it... Its tall, dark, spindly, imposing and looks just plain evil!! Definitely Toy of the year. (and worth sleeping on the couch on for a week lol!) the instructions are a little vague. I suggest you study them thoroughly so parts are locked tight. I had problems with the arms initially but after looking the instructions carefully its tighter than a drum!!! I dont envy Graham at all in doing a review on this. Its going to take alot of words and pics to explain how all things fit and lock together. Though this would of been solved easily if Yamato included english translations. Anyways, get yours now before theyre all gone. Its definitely a guilt-free purchase and worth every penny!!

I was at wallymart this past weekend and saw most of the movie transformers on pegs and on the shelf...including The interactive bumblebee, voyagers, deluxes and those mini camera/cellphone/etc. Was about to snag them but when it was time to ring 'em up they said they couldnt sell them to me!?!?!?! Why the hell are they on display then already I asked??? Idiots!! (Yes I do realize there is an official release date for these, but my point was they were on the shelves already.) -
Mine came in today. I'll do a little review on it when I get back. Ok. Opened it up real quick. fairly easy to put together. Nicely engineered and in-scale with the other ultra-man/ ultraseven chogokins. It comes with a cool display stand for the assembled and satellite modes. Has very LIMITED movement/articulation though.

King Joe GX-37 is out if anyone is intrested. Check out the review here.

Yes!! I finally got MP-05 Megs in!! When I first opened the package I was a little scared. First off, there's this big yellow "notice" taped with mini-yellow stick-ons (easily comes off) stating not to use it in an (in short) offending manner. The box was fully re-taped and hardly no signs of tampering. Then I opened it... There it was, that big (exagerates) orange butt plug. I already had my dremel, pliers and hair dryer ready to operate and remove it. Initially I tried to pry it off with my finger tips, it moved a little but I couldnt get a good grip on it with my short nails (and I assumed there was some adhesive) Finally, I took a long nose plier, making sure it only griped the plug..twisted and pulled.. viola!! no more butt plug!! 30 seconds flat. So for those of you worrying about its removal, dont worry. The figure itself is prestine, nice tight joints and nicely engineered. A little flimsy, but not as flimsy as the yamato YF-19. Lots of racheted joints where theyre needed and more importantly it can hold a pose and it wont fall apart when you look at it funny. I havent transformed it yet, maybe this weekend... Im gonna play with it a little bit more in bot mode. Got mine from BBTS. Get 'em while they're hot. -
Nice pics mpchi and great idea with the coins. I noticed my yamato brutishdog has a little bit more heft to it than their 1st release scopedog and Im sure its not just because of the diecast claws. I'll do an autopsy one day..

Well if you look at it scale-wise, 1/12 is not very significantly different from 1/18, its not even half (or 50%). If the takara "dogs" were 1/24 scale, then the Yamato would be 50% bigger..
