I had my 1/60 Alto for a couple of days now. It took a while for me to transform it just right in all three modes. Hell, I just discovered it had a ball jointed waist lol. The instructions were so vague, tiny and black and white. Found a site with pictorial instructions, no need to understand kanji. Look here.

I re-watched episode 4. She was definitely sitting (albeit cramped) in main body of the Q-rau. Meaning her legs aren't stored backward into the thruster like Miriya in the yamato figure.

I'd really love to get the yamato version.. But Im strictly a Transformers/Robotech/Macross collector. Its nice though

I am currently watching: Kemeko DX (Lots of Mecha goodness.. Hilarious and sexy without being hentai) Macross Frontier (The entire series for the 5th time lol)

Wait.. Im confused. I thought the 1/60 V.2 were more durable than the 1/48's? Aside from the few QC problems from the first release VF-1S, I thought everything was fixed. Im worried about the VF-1D now..

I know they're both different design-wise (the alphas) but from what I read, theyre basically the same scale. Has anyone really tried? Oh nevermind I saw a pic of it here Is that photo-shopped? If its not, is it a sturdy connection?

I just got my Alto version in. This thing is heavy and sturdy. All the joints are nice and tight, maybe a little too tight. But its better than being loose right? Its not a yamato but Bandai has their own gig on how to make valkyries. e.g. chunky monkey v1. I guess we all got used to some of yamato's extras and we were expecting bandai to live up or exceed their designs. They did in some aspects IMHO. Its sturdy, no fear in breaking anything. QC is excellent. The way the torso locks in place is better than the YF-19 and the SV-51 (in my figure anyway) Sure there are a few issues in this figure that might need a little tweaking, like the hands. It could of benefited better if it had a mid thigh swivel. But Im happy with it. I took it for what it was and felt no need to modify anything on it Now if they'd make a nice Vajra figure, especially the Red one or Klan Klein's Q-rau with MILF Klan Klein inside I'd be ecstatic!! lol!! Im eagely awaiting the release of the Macross Quarter next. Go Bandai!!

The Nose Cone shouldnt be visible like that dude. Its mistransformed. Align it right and should be flush.

I rotate my stock about every 3 months in my display. Gives me an excuse to dust them off.

Errr..I just turned 43 lol. I would love it if they came out with a 1/35 Alpha/Beta... And I hope Im still kicking when/if it does

I just got my Beta in. Its Big and Heavy. In short Its a lot better constructed than the alpha's, but its not without its faults. The hips are a little floppy (moving sideways outwards) It lacks Mid hip swivels, a waist swivel and the canopy on the cockpit doesnt close all the way (the pilot is a biatch to put in) I wish they went with tampo printing because I hate applying stickers (I dont know if theyre waterslide). Other than that, its nicely constructed and the paint job is fine. I wish I kept my Alpha though **sigh**
