I thought I was bad. Roughly, I say around $700 USD including non macross yammy stuff like their scopedog 1/12 stuff.
-
Well Im glad I didnt pick up the regular VF0a cannon fodder. Definitely going to get Shin's version. Hopefully this version will have all its quirks fixed. OT, I wouldnt mind Yamato making an in-scale "Bird/human" head with a mini Sara or Mao.

Your in Canada?

I had mine for like 3 days now and have had no problems with joints and such. I must've transformed it atleast 20 times already with no signs of plastic stress marks or loosening up with joints. By the way Graham was handling his on the videos, there's no way this thing is going to break. Unless: A. You throw it off your roof or against a wall B. Smash it with a sledge hammer (or any blunt object) C. The wife gets pissed at you and throws it in the oven at 400 F for 10 minutes. (True Story Not with any Valkyries though )

Well.. let me rephrase that... Maybeeeee? Anything's possible right? Off topic somewhat.. I would like a 1/60 Zentraedi battle and officer pod please Mr Yamato...
-
Maybe.. they already... have...
-
Yup as of yesterday it was in stock. But the $30 dollar mark up within the span of a couple of days is ridiculous. Im glad I pre-ordered mine for $190. Action-hq still has them in stock too for $159 (plus $35 for EMS it'll still come out cheaper than BBTS or other US online stores) And for those of you worrying about the torso not locking or being floppy, its not. Just dont turn it upside down.
-
I might pick up the VF-0A/Ghost set since I havent yet gotten the regular VF-0A. BBTS has theirs for pre-order already for $219.00. Yup, this is an expensive hobby but hey..You only live once.
-
Got mine in from image anime today. Glad I pre-ordered it for $190. They just jacked the price up to $210 !!! Though it's not perfect its the best transformable rendition of the YF-19 out there and its everything Graham said it would be... I didnt regret getting it.. but the ball and chain's gonna be when she see's the bill. Ok, whats next?

I think the best way to "lock" it in Gerwalk mode is to have it in semi-gerwalk mode (as in rickryou's photo review with arms still locked in fighter mode)
-
Graham clearly states:
-
Great Review and excellent instructional video to boot. Thanks Graham. It's just too bad the gerwalk mode doesnt "lock" in any particular way...
-
Well..I believe it was like $159 at action-hq, but with shipping it'll be like another $25-$35 depending if you want it regular airmail or express. And the last time I looked, it was still in stock as of today.. http://www.action-hq.com/store/product_inf...roducts_id=2576

BBTS has theirs for 199 and Imageanime has theirs for 190.. It'll round off almost the same with shipping. And they wont tax you if your not a NY resident. And I disagree.. Image anime has excellent customer service. I've had things refunded and replaced with no problems. So without putting anyone one down, its just a question of how to obtain things cheaper...

Someone had a bad turkey day....

I.E. MP-03 StarScream.. He took too many liberties with that figure..
-
This could mean the first initial preorders are sold out and december is for their next batch.. (hopeful thinking)

Im spending way too much on my "hobby". I hope I dont regret getting the YF-19

Transformer Starscream Masterpiece has arrived!

Its about the length of MPOP but its flatter and wider. Come to think of it, Yamato could of boxed their 1/48's like this and saved us some money. -

I think its due to rough handling of the said MP-03 by people who bought them. I transformed mine over a dozen times already too. No plastic stress marks. Just dont be overly rough with it. -

I just got mine today.. Where do I start? Let me just say that the MP-O3 Starscream is a work of marvelous engineering BUT not without its flaws and QC issues: Mine came with a non-racheting right shoulder joint. Easy to fix if your experienced repairing that sort of problem. (probably just a weak or loose spring) Also the fingers on mine are extremely loose. While these are rarely unheard of especially for takara, I think their merger with Tomy lowered their standards in the Quality Control department. (Or maybe mine was just a fluke?) This is not an MP.. its more of a alternator fighter jet. IMHO MP's are larger and contain a significant amount of DIECAST. Ofcourse due to its design I didnt think diecast would work in its favor. I.E if the wings were, it would be too top heavy and if the lower legs were, it would be really floppy due to its weight... So I hope if/when this ever reaches the states that they dont sell it as one (an MP I mean) and it wont sell for more than 40 bucks. Lastly, let me just add that he is extremely easy to transform granted that the ultra tight joints cooperate. With that being said, becareful transforming it. Skip a few of the steps in the booklet just to loosen some parts that are "locked in" then proceed with the instructions. If some pictures seem a little vague please refer here for extra help. Dont get me wrong.. this is a very durable transformer, but I've read in so many forums reporting plastic stress marks already apearing during multiple transforming. so please DO NOT USE UNNECCESSARY FORCE to loosen parts free to avoid stressing the plastic... Some other facts: He seems to be 1/60 scale. He is about as long as the 1/60 Yamato VF-0S/A and the 1/48 VF-1J in jet mode (roughly 12") PLUS the Roy Fokker figure (from the 1/60 VF-0) can fit nicely in its cockpit. Robot mode is a different story, he's a little bit more compact than the Valkyrie Battloids. I say about 9 inches (The battloids being about 12"). -
Wahahahahha!!! KY dries sorta crusty. I found alcohol a good lubricant for putting soft vinyl/rubber "suits" on a plastic skeletons. E.g. Evangelion model kits, Dragonball figure kits etc. I give you credit though. I wish I was there to see your parents' faces!!!

Are you the same Gdomino (in robot-japan forum) who had the neck hinge piece break off? Did you ever have it fixed?

I posted this on the other "VF-0" Thread. Im surprise no one noticed it.. Yup, they're very lightly glued (the white armor parts) just pry them open with a tiny flat head screw driver, then unscrew the screw underneath that to loosen the joint out. You can add nail polish, a piece of rubber band or use what I used.. a thin piece of neoprene rubber. It has a spongey texture with enough rubber for friction. Just wedge it inside the joint then put the bicep back on. Make sure to squeeze the two halves together tightly while your putting the screw back in. Next is to glue (Model glue) the bicep armor back on and VIOLA!! no more loose bicep. It worked for me. I hope it works for you.
