Maybe I missed something (or missed IT if and when it came out), but how come I haven't seen a 1/48 scale Valkyrie model kit out there? Sure there are great 1/48 "toys" like the one in the photo below. But what about something we can build? (Transformable or not, I don't care.) What do you all think? To black tail or not to black tail. Hell, I remember back in '92 when the VF-31 Tomcatters first came to Miramar, the pilots told me that some admiral didn't even like black lettering on gray air planes. Someone said the gray tactical camo is practical and that's a no s****er (for combat anyways). But "When in Rome" show off those colors!

FYI It's Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17). Not the "17th Wing" (someone would think that's Air Force).

Yeah, even as a fourteen year watching the movie when it first came out, I was stumped at that, too. But I figure he [Jester] meant the A-4 was fast at maneuverability. What do you think? I know if the Tomcat and the Scooter were in an air race, there's no doubt who would win.
